Terry, I always knew that you were a nice lady but now that you said that since the candy was free you are going to donate it to a homelessness service organization, you have been elevated to an angel! Thank you! From Rising Tides Outreach. We serve the homeless of Atlantic City.
I love how they were so willing to show you everything. The Candy turned out absolutely amazing. Their English was fantastic. I know it’s been years but I still miss Max so much, he was such a joy and was so talented.
@@bayerngirlgaming Not necessarily first 🤣, we still have our own languages 😜 (Dutch and Frysian, depending on which area you live in). But we do learn a few foreign languages from a young age - English, German and French in particular.
Thank you to the people at Rocks n Rolls, you were so nice and I always wondered how that type of candy was made. There is a lot of work that goes into it.
Nice! This is so cool to see other candy businesses and to see image candy being made. It seems like image candy makers can work with the candy for soooo long without it getting too cold
How cool that you visited Rocks and Rolls! I love how they explained all the steps of forming the letters and shapes, and what the different candy tables are for. They did a fantastic job on your logo! The colors are great. Thank you for this wonderful video!
5:09 that level of blackness is so beautiful. I'd make blackcurrant gems out of it but I can't imagine how hard it would be to make a candy gemstones efficiently.
Cast the molten candy in silicone molds, maybe? You'll end up with a big flat side, but I'd imagine that's how Ring Pops are made. Edit: Better idea, use the rotary thing they use to make candy hearts, but with a die set that's gem shaped.
This technique reminds me of how the Venetian glass blowers on the island of Murano create their glass art pieces, especially the millefiori jewellery. It's amazing to watch these candy artists!
So cool! You guys were my first candy channel, but since then I've found these guys too! Love their videos! You should head down to Australia one day to visit Sticky Lollies
That took a lot of thinking to make that candy, but so fascinating. Would be pretty cool if you all could do it too. However more space & equipment might put a damper on that thought. I love their store location with the big windows/wall where people can watch from the outside. Love how people can "peek" into your work space form inside the store. Thank you for taking us along to see how do they do that. I find your candy making very fascinating and enjoy watching & laughing.
So cool you got to go visit these candy makers! There’s just not enough time, space or employees to do this at Hercules. Thank you for sharing your process with us all 😊
You had me fooled! I really thought you all finally gave it a go and decided to make your own designer candies 😂 … I was so excited and pleasantly surprised to see Rocks n Rolls Candy making it for you! I didn’t even know they are based in Netherlands - Great trip Craig 🍭🍭🍬🍬 🧚🏾♀️🙌🏽💖🕯️💫
One easier way to practice is with colored polymer clay. You can learn to make letters and all kinds of designs with the same techniques that they're using but the clay isn't hot and it is more forgiving. I've been making clay "canes" as they're called for years and was so surprised to see the same techniques used in this candy-making.
There's so many videos online for cane making with polymer clay...this would be a great way to practice creating shapes, letters, designs that could be used for candy once your speed is built up...love your channel
It's quite like making clay canes with Sculpey/Fimo, and making soap images with soap clay. White food colour is just titanium dioxide, usually. Probably the one that was banned. I use it in soap, there is water soluble and water soluble.
Thank you for filming this whole process, it's fascinating to watch! I looked up this shop and it's right on the Belgian border, I thought I could hear some Flemish in the video. I'm from Flanders, that's why I recognise it. I hope to visit them some day! And Hercules too of course, although that's bit father away 😁
I couldn't imagine the trial and error that would have taken place to perfect this process. These makers are pretty chill too but not Steve and Julia chill.HAHA Awesome video , thanks for making!
4:14 Cool! Sticky, in Australia and Papa Bubble in Japan (in a mall) both make picture candies. They both are interesting also. Rocks and Rolls are very popular also. I guess Papa Bubble is in Houston TX also, but have not watched them on RUclips, the others I have. Sticky in particular because my youngest granddaughter loves Bluey, they made a candy with Bluey’s face on it, NOW she wants to go there 😅 she is 3 so maps or ocean makes NO DIFFERENCE to her…😂😂
That is so cool! Off topic, but still candy... have you made another batch of Terry’s Terrific Tart Treats and added in the green apple yet? I need another box, but really want to wait for that! 😍
a great way to practice this technique is with playdoh ...they look like they are playing with playdoh ....but its hot lava sugar LOL ...either way if u want to just have fun and or practice doing this i suggest playdoh ... then try to attempt making ur own candy after lots of practice ...
@HerculesCandy It was like watching a UFC fight..... Just when I thought they were done with a piece they'd add more, roll it, put the candy in arm bar, punch it the face.... Just arms and legs everywhere. I tried following along for about 30 seconds 😂
lmao i was so suprised that they were speaking Dutch i didn’t understand it at first until i saw a comment with someone saying it was Dutch and than i understood it immediately🤣 (i am Dutch too)
Black currant is one of my favorite flavours. It's a shame that the plant acts as a host for the white pine blister rust that threatened the timber industry. In 1911, the federal government banned the cultivation, sale, and transport of blackcurrants to protect the white pine otherwise it wouyld be more popular in the U.S.

The Dutch are amazing at English. They learn it from a young age up
English basically is a first language here in the Netherlands and Belgium
They were very gracious hosts!
They’re sharing their trade, which is amazing.

They've certainly mastered this form of candy making!
Nice! This is so cool to see other candy businesses and to see image candy being made. It seems like image candy makers can work with the candy for soooo long without it getting too cold
Yeah I think a lot of them have heated tables to work with
I love this collab! Also them playing a Hercules video in the background, thats such an awesome touch ❤🍬 so sweet you could get cavities 😉
They were awesome, and I hope we can host them one day too!
It was remarkable how talented these people are!! Thanks for filming this video ❤

Yeah they did a great job with the candy as well as explaining it!
Watching Rocks n Rolls brought me to Hercules candy and now you are learning from each other 😊
OMG Same here!!! Love the collab❤️
The candy world is so small!
I cant believe how great this candy company is..the letters looked awesome

Watching from Canada. So cool to watch how one gets the little tiny words into the candy lol that was awesome.❤❤
Yeah I thought so too!

These guys speak better English than a lot of Americans. Great work guys
You're not wrong 😂
That's the Dutch for you! We all are taught English in school for hardly anyone speaks Dutch outside the Netherlands.

The precision of those letters is top notch. I’ve had candies like this most of it had funky alignment
They're professionals!

43:55 Ahhh the ping noise from they split the candy...music to my ears! Fantastic video!
Congratulations on the collaboration! Black currant reminds me of licorice, somewhat.

Lovely watching candy people learning from each other. Friendly, helpful people just like all of you at Hercules Candy. 😊❤

I can't even make no-fail fudge. This is craaaazzzy! ❤
Very nice❤
I’ve always love hard candy with designs in the center.
I’ve done this with clay, but never letters, which was very informative
Awesome job by Rock and Rolls. Too bad we aren’t able to purchase from them. I would love to try their candy and have them design something for me.
They are pretty talented. Definitely perfected their craft 💯

I’ve always liked cut rock at Christmas. Fascinating to see how it’s made in my ancestral homeland. Thanks.
Thanks Craig! Great learning video!
Thanks!
This was wonderful! I’m shocked at how much time they had to shape the candy due to the different tables. Another level of art in candy:)
Is there a plan for one of them to come to Syracuse and make something at Hercules? I love that y’all are promoting each other’s businesses!
Wow! the collab everybody hoped for! Hope you had a nice stay in my little country!

11:42 His English is really good tbh.
Amazing process, I really enjoyed this video. It would be great if Rock and Rolls makers could come to visit you guys at Hercules.
We hope so one day too! 🙏
You should try and make a Dutch hard candy. They have great hard candy sticks that are cinnamon or cherry flavors.

Black currant or cassis is a very popular flavour in Europe....it is my favourite.

5:08 that is some shiny candy!!
