💑 About Hercules Candy
Hercules Candy has been on Steve’s side of the family since 1910(ish). When he took over in the 70’s, he anticipated after 10 years of hard work, he could move the business out of the basement and into a real storefront. Unfortunately, it took until 2018 for that to happen, but hey at least it happened! Steve and Terry own the shop, Craig (the social media manager) is their son, Cara (wrapper and shipper extraordinaire who is poised to take over the shop one day) is their daughter and Leah (who doesn’t love being on camera and is very elusive) is their oldest daughter. Karen has been working for Hercules Candy since the twins (Craig and Cara) were about 6 months old and everybody else is a new recruit. Don’t forget to subscribe and hit the 🔔 for more videos!

The lady is correct! The Hercules videos helped maintain my sanity during covid, so once the travel bans had lifted, I made a pilgrimage (4 hour drive from Waterford, Canada) to Syracuse to meet Steve & Terry in person.
And we're so glad you made the pilgrimage!

Honestly seeing customers come into the shop is awesome. I'd love to visit but I'm in the UK. You have so many people who watch and aren't able to visit that the customers who can, their delight resonates with me.

I came across one of your videos a few years back. I know the one I watched you were in the new place. Craig was doing a live video and having issues with the internet. There was a lady there teaching you how to make some type of candy. And I thought, who the heck are these crazy people? lol just being honest. Then I watched another video. Then I was hooked and went back, and I have watched them all. 😂

Been so long since I teared up from sheer joy and not just laughter, that I guess I forgot what it feels like.
What a great vlog today, just seeing how excited and happy everyone was including the visitors. Just shows what a great group of people you are. This really made me feel good. If I wasn’t all the way across the world in Australia I would be visiting for sure.

Absolutely love all the candy from you all. I can't get enough of the sour ones! The sour bite sized green apple candy is my favorite. I keep checking to see if you will come our with a super sour/ultra sour version someday!
haha as of right now, I think our super sour is as sour as we're going to get. Unless you want to buy your own batch like that guy did a couple videos back!

I have thought of a few flavors that would be awesome. Strawberry and Kiwi together. Watermelon and dragon fruit. Honey dew and cantaloupe.
I love cola flavored anything.
So the reason its called Starry now is because a tiktoker named Cierra Mistt sued the company over the name brand when the trademark had expired and she bought it. so now Cierra Mist owns the name Sierra Mist, and Pepsi Co changed the name to Starry. Theres no change to the flavor or anything. Just a matter of legal strong arming.

I was not paying attention to what flavors they were until the very end when you guys said cherry cola...the whole time I thought it was sour cranberry cola and was thinking it was going to be amazing lol, then I heard cherry 😞🤦♀️

When they hit the hook with the hammer it releases the candy from the hook so that they can remove it for transport to the table without it becoming a sticky mess

Cola flavoring is an extract of the Kola nut.
Coke stopped using the Kola nut in the 20s. The primary flavorants of the big name colas you're used to are vanilla, cinnamon, and citrus. Boutique soda makers still use it sometimes, but you have to seek it out.

not true. the flavoring comes from the Kola nut.
Coke a cola is the naming of the ingredients in the original recipe. cocaine and kola extract. originally a medicine the Kola extract was added to counteract the taste of the cocaine.
