Really like your videos. I've watched them over and over, trying to understand. I'd like to see a video on the actual pairings to show what color/pattern, you can put together to get Spread, Dilute, Grizzle, ect. Or maybe a oral video explaining color/pattern pairings to get such.
Ive learned alot while watching your videos. Like always they are very informative and easy to understand. Thank you for sharing your knowledge with us, please keep em coming.
When will you continue your genetic videos. I've learned so much from the last videos. Would be very cool if you continue making more. Like how to make other colors. Thanks for sharing your knowledge with the world.
Hey there,, thanks for youre videos,, ive enjoyed learning a little more about genetics, i have a rear colored homer, andalusian, white flights, tail bar, but no bars on the wings,, i cant find what it is, what do you think?
if you have a recessive red pigeon which colour does it carry to it's off spring does it carry the colour underneath or the red it showing, same with the black spread does it carry the colour and bar underneath to it's off spring or does it give the colour it shows. thanks it would be great if you could give a example.
I think the white mottle found in recessive red might not have any relation to the gene of grizzle. It is probable not yet well understood but it appears to be the effect of different other genes in the recessive red gene one.
There are recessive reds that throw random white where it is not in their parents. However the grizzle in these birds came from blues and responds the same as any grizzle in Tipplers.
hello my friend please can you answer me What is the medicine for the treatment of diarrhea, green and white killer to infect bigeons i live in Sydney, Australia, were i gave them ornithological bay cox and after antibiotic i gave them triple c antibiotic for birds and after the group vitamins and each one or two die every day please can you help Treatment method using Bay Cox below and Coccidia i gave them these medicine
no. most pure white pigeons are white because of one gene (recessive white) 2 black birds can carry it a breed a solid white. however with RW you get flesh beak and bull eyes. check out my pearl eye white tipple video. that would be your best best. Ash red grizzled with dirty but pure would take a little time.
+john coelho Phenotype is the look of the bird. For instance "Black" is a phenotype, genetically it's slang. With black it doesn't matter as most breeds come in black and no one messes it up. However the genotype of a black is blue, spread, + whatever pattern it is. So the genotype is what specific genes are behind the phenotype. There is a phenotype called "Lavender" In America compared to the rest or the world means two different things. In America it is Ash red bar spread. The rest it is a blue, milky like in Lahores.
It’s all understandable if you have one grizzled, but what if you don’t have one and you want to make one grizzled ??! Any body can make one grizzled if you have one !!!
+spiderspinners rock. Well, I can't say NO WAY for sure because I haven't experienced everything in life yet. However I doubt it. I've seen them get close. But I doubt you will ever see come absolute white offspring after offspring. They also are left with a darker undercoat. Now you can turn a blue, a black, whatever white with one gene of Recessive white. You could do it also by adding a lot of genes like. extreme dilute, faded, maybe opal, and probably get it done, but not just grizzle and spread or anything simple.

What would you breed to get a red grizzle?

Cream bars are called yellow grizzle

No clue, diseases aren't my field. Google the 8 common Pigeon diseases.
So a pure white and a white grizzle wouldnt do it?

Does anybody have an idea how I can produce a pure white bird with black beak and orange eyes like that of a grizzle?
homo grizzle with spread and dirty will get more and more white as you breed them. But PURE white and black beak don't mix.
what's the deference of phenotype and genotype

blue does turn completly white also

Easiest road to breed black mottled grizzled if you have no black birds?
+LuisManuelHdez What d o you have to work with?
Ash red,blue bar/bronzed bar,dark check,blue check, blue/red grizzle. This is what's showing. Can't say what they're carrying.
Well they can't hide black. Are these tipplers? Not much you can do without black (spread).
It's a dominate gene so I'd you don't have it, you need it for your project.
Hi can anyone help me im trying to breed barless pigeons
I talk about patterns in video 2. Only way to do it is get a barless bird, than it is a simple autosomal recessive gene.
What is the name of specie of this pigeon ?
+jamal Pasha The one on the screenshot is an Iraqi Basrawi. Also had Tipplers and New York Flights in the video.

Those flights are not grizzle Corbin those were mottled
