    Hi, thanks for the video! I recently bought one of these second hand from a seller that barely used it (16", RTX 4070, i9 13900H, 32GB DDR5 4800Mhz).
    It is still under warranty for another ~4 months (though idk if this is void now as he decided to insert another NVME SSD into the spare slot @ 4TB, he said it shouldn't be void though as the seals haven't broken) - I tested one game so far, GTA V at 1080p and it appears the GPU temps reached around 75C, whereas the CPU was within the 95C - 100C mark... it was on performance mode to boost the fan speeds and such. The game was ultra smooth with no issues. I'll most likely buy a laptop stand for better air flow volume and that.
    Are these CPU temps normal? Is it worth submitting this laptop in for a warranty check in case the CPU thermal paste has issues? (I want to promote the longevity of this laptop as much as possible, it's fantastic overall and relatively light for what it is!)
    Keen to know your thoughts :)

      Yea you have to turn off cpu boost to get better frames but yea cpu could get pretty hot

      @@BlendlogicTech In my BIOS, it doesn't give me the options to modify power/ CPU settings :( I'm on the latest BIOS version and everything. After a quick skim online it appears the BIOS could be limited for whatever reason, so I feel stuck on that front to throttle the CPU. In better news though, I got myself a laptop stand to increase inlet air volume and after trying GTA again on Balanced mode, it's dropped down to 60degC to 70degC! Need to try out more intensive games later, but this is a solid start so far.
      Do you recommend any laptop cooling pads? Or nah

    • @BlendlogicTech
      @BlendlogicTech  3 месяца назад +1

      @@Neep95 amzn.to/3WFb2Pc -- any laptop stand from amazon under that search term should be fine.
      The setting to turn off power is in power options > Edit Power Plan > Change Advanced Power Settings> Then I believe its called processor power management - and you should se a cpu boost option that you can disable. Other options are agressive, agressive at garaunteed, enabled etc. If it has those options you know you are on the right spot.
      Just do Disabled from there

    • @Neep95
      @Neep95 3 месяца назад +1

      @@BlendlogicTech Thanks a ton :) That option wasn't there on my laptop originally (idk why) in advanced power settings.
      However, I could make the option visible by performing the following (provided here if it helps anyone else in the future!) in quotes:
      "Run cmd as administrator and paste/enter the below command to view the 'Processor Power Management' option in advanced power settings:
      powercfg -attributes sub_processor perfboostmode -attrib_hide
      Note: If you want to hide this option (for whatever reason) just do the following command on cmd as Admin:
      powercfg -attributes sub_processor perfboostmode +attrib_hide"
      Appreciate your support again! Idling now < 50 degC :) I'd recommend the above for all power settings.
      For reference prior to you and anyone that reads this:
      (I) With a basic stand only with CPU boost enabled, the CPU became 60-70degC on idle and during games (albeit haven't tried any crazy games on the rig yet).
      (ii) Before that when I got the laptop without a stand/ flat on the table, it was 75degC on idle when I purchased the laptop (with up to 100degC on GTA V).
      Very happy with this outcome! I hope this helps others.

    I have this same exact laptop and I get about 80fps on battery on high settings in most games and even charging I get almost 200fps but it manages to stutter in most games. How do I fix this? I have 1 gig internet would wiring stop it from stuttering? It happens in gta story mode to.

    • @BlendlogicTech
      @BlendlogicTech  9 месяцев назад +3

      See what happens if you turn off CPU Turbo Boost -- Advanced power settings then disable it there.
      On battery 80 FPS - I mean.. you off battery - all windows gaming laptops are known to reduce power output - the chips rely on the AC Power to run full power so thats expected.
      On Charging - the stuttering issues - Yea try turning off CPU Boost - Try Underclocking (Wasn't included in this video but you enable it in BIOS - then turn settings down)
      Would try Performance mode - but fans will kick up but thast the max you can get your performance.
      Sounds like a CPU issue - check HW Monitor and lemme know temps - perhaps its throttling?

      I mean I used to mine on my previous zephyrus - think laptops are fine for heavy use - noting really you can do - maybe go silent mode but you lose performance?
      Only thing I can think that will typically break is the fans since they move -- maybe over time may need to repaste - but settings wise its like use it less or underclock? Silent mode easiest way to do that.
      You can also turn on underclock settings in bios and try to underclock on legion vantage.
      Last thing is turn off CPU boost in power settings
