I had one fitted to my E53 Coupe when i bought it in June.. SmarTrack S5. Very similar to yours with the app etc. Mine runs off my phone app so I dont need a separate fob. Insurance wouldn't give me a discount though as not all companies offer one apparently. At least i have peace of mind though. Keep up the good work, you should have more subscribers! 😊

Quick one everyone - I hear that stealing Merc Emblem badge in front of the grille is a thing. That is soooooooo annoying! Is there a way to ensure that one’s badge isn’t nicked? It really infruriates me
Mercedes me is good but I’ve found it to be a bit unreliable as a tracker. Especially if you’ve not been in the car with your phone at its last location. A good benefit with the scorpion is the notification/call you get if the car moves without the fob. Gives you a chance to get the car back as quick as possible.
Just as a side note, the intelligent thief might know how to disable the Mercedes tracker. They can get past the factory immobiliser correct, so why not the tracker? So it's way better to get an aftermarket device fitted.
@@Happytruth Hey Happytruth, I still recommend Ghost and am confident it’s going to keep my car safe but the tracker is a good addition for two reasons in my mind. First is if I was held up at knifepoint and forced to start the car, then I know it can easily be recovered. Second was really because I wanted to test the tracker and share the video. It’s nice to have both.
Sensible decision Adam. I use global telemetrics, and they even called to tell me my battery was low!, making sure everything was ok!. When getting new insurance quotes, when it asks if you have a tracker, up comes a drop down menu with all manufacturers, enter yours and this then applies any discount!👍

Air tags are great but not a viable car theft tracker. Apple developed an app that detects any AirTag in close proximity and will beep so they can just find the AirTag in seconds. This app was designed to protect people from having air tags planted on them and followed so it works really well.
i have a similar system they also kill switch the car from a distance so even i as a owner cannot start my vehicle if a activate the start kill switch. its good too have
My car recently got stolen even tho it’s not a sports car it’s was a Lexus however I’m defiantly putting this scorpion tracker on my next car to make sure it doesn’t get stolen
My CLA35 was fitted with Tag (regional tracking service in Canada) before it left the dealership. They place several GPS trackers at random places so people won't be able to easily find and remove them. They also etch the drivers side window to let would-be thieves know the car is protected. It all cost under $300 CAD and saves me at least 50% on my auto insurance. If for no other reason, this is why it makes sense to get it :p
Nice! That sounds like a brilliant system and incredible value for money. The fact it saves you 50% too makes it a nobrainer! Wish it was that good in the UK. This is the best deal we can get here.

I wanted to test guard360 but I just can't seem to get the app to work on my car anymore. The whole Mercedes me app stopped working last year and we've not been able to get it to work since. Have had Mercedes helping me and they are puzzled.

Ignore the GT63, just get a C63S before it's too late. Still plenty of lightly used V8's on the market. Don't wait! The hybrid 4cyl c63's will make the V8 C63's worth a lot more.@@ABAUTOAMG

Agreed! Its intended purpose is more to find your car after you’ve parked etc rather than a theft tracker.
Does that mean you have less confidence in the immobiliser you had fitted.

Great video, I also take security very seriously too. I had the pandora elite v2 fitted along with a meta tracker on my face lift A45s

@@ABAUTOAMGhey AB, you can actually take out the speaker to the AirTag which makes it a viable option. I use mine on my CLA45
They can take out the AirTag once they find it, as it’ll ping their iPhone that AirTag with them.
The next thing you need to start looking into now is Film making.. you will excel in it
