MacG is a Goat Man.. I always thought he is lying when he says sometimes he declines these lucrative deals to protect his vision and authenticity or being captured. I respect him even more. Thanks Penuel fo this refreshing engagement
King David is doing these music legends and pop culture interviews...his interview with Soul Brother's Black Moses is one for the archives, so kudos to David
Happy Wednesday 🙏🏽❤️ Jon Savage is a true legend in SA, and is now helping us create amazing content at AMPD Studios... I'm truly honoured to have sat with him & hope many of you will learn a lot from this sitdown. Enjoy ❤️
Came running all the way from Ampd Networking Crew to watch the episode with immediate effect. I could relate to what Jon said. Most of us the aspiring content creators have no acces to information, no access to infrastructure or whatsoever. Imagine if theres someone out there sitting with a dope content but don't have all the necessary information and equipment..Their future is already doomed. Thanks Jon for the thought of creating such space, you really are a living legend. As for Penuel my bro, you do not dissapoint and thank you for always sharing your knowledge with the rest of the world. U more like DJ Sbu, u guys believe in social responsibility always plugging people in 😊❤
Who will properly document legends like Caiphus Semenya, Letta Mbuli, Vusi Mahlasela, Themba Mkhize, Yvonne Chaka Chaka, Abigail Kubheka, Miriam Makeba, Hugh Masekela, Ray Phiri & Stimela, Ladysmith Black Mambazo, etc. We have rich music history. It needs to be brought to life constantly.
I hope this has light even more fire on your belly Pen, its a curse and a blessing that Afrika its often overlooked but a massive opportunity for those building. Afrika will always be the last frontier and who is better to capitalise than those that know the terrain so shoutout to you and others in the forefront just a matter of time before you blast out 'No more hunger' by Khuli... A point that Jon said about us being the dopest is something I hope many Afrikans took to heart, we work the most for little with barely any resources which brings out the beast in us, so keep on building until you get that funding whether through investment, sponsorships or sales to go to the next level!
One I am actually noticing is that the podcast space is becoming too saturated and unfortunately it feels like the focus is on specific interests like entertainment, politics and "horror stories" like I didn't know he was a killer until I found a bloody knife in is back pocket type thumbnail conversations. I think we are still in the early stages of our content creation identity as a country...but I love what is happening eKZN, they are real to self and they have an interesting culture which could be massive in the next few years...but RUclips is a very interesting space, I love it!
RUclips keeps 45% and shares 55% with content creators. For shorts, they keep 55% and shares 45%. So if I'm making 4.5 cents per view, that means RUclips made 3.5 cents, and advertizers paid 8 cents per view.
Dame Dash and Patrick Bet-David also had this conversation on whether youtube is fair in what they pay...very interesting...I think its a decent split 55 to creator & 45 for them...plus other things they offer creators, shops, super thanks, memberships and and and
I know this is not an important question because I get a notification anyways but when is it KONVO and when is it Dope Conversations? What is the main difference?
