My family is not Muslim and I took my shahadah in prison, I’m also a black man in America so we know how that goes!! But I’m often not received in the best way. But my IMAN is strong and I felt a yearning to have this type of love and companionship from my brothers because I love the Muslims for the sake of Allah. I have named my elder son after this sahabah without knowing all details of his life, now that i learned Alhamdulillah what a great name i chose.. JazakAllah for this lecture. Other thing that came to my mind through this beautiful lecture and while we are witnessing the genocide in Gaza.. what a great job Muadh Ibn Jabal did in Yemen. May Allah protect Palestine and Yemen.. Ameen Ya Raab.
Just left Madinah today, and I re listened to this incredible episode. After I completed my farewell to our Beloved, I absolutely bawled my eyes like never before. “O Muadh the people that are closest to me are the people of Taqwa, whoever they are, wherever they are”. Ya Allah 1:01:00

I find it really beautiful how shaykh omar offers these links, relationships and similarities between the companions in this series. Like with Muadh and Mus’ab in this episode. It really helps transform the image we have of the companions in our minds. May Allah be pleased with them and with our teacher shaykh Omar for connecting us to them
Muad Ibn Jabal was a great companion of our beloved prophet Muhammad (sal). My heart always have a great love towards Muad (RAL). Whenever I’m so weak in my religion, I remember this great man and his last conversation with our beloved prophet, before leaving Madinah. May Allah bless us those who love the companions and try to be like them in our life. This history class by Sheih Omar is so touching. Thank you Sheih for your wonderful history class.
All of my brother names came from the sahaba. Including mine : 1. Zubair (me) 2. Mu’ad my other brother 3. Hudaife / my lil brother 4. Sa’ad - my bug brother / first companion to fire the arrow and my brother name sa’ad told me this back home in Ethiopia when I was 5 and still remember it till this day. Missed my childhood and Islam stories 😢❤

Everything about this sirah is amazing until the minutes of 1:03:00. There will be no Muslim with iman in their heart able to hold back their tears, it felt like Rasulullah S.A.W did not just gave farewell to Muadh, but to all of US. It is like the feeling that I felt when I lost my father but this much more hurt, deep and sorrow, as if like we were there as muadh. 😭

Those poor innocents murdered in their homeland. I reminded him of this and asked him : What would you do if u were and your family were in Palestine? He said he would nuke it. Sea of Glass. Laa ilaaha illallaahu wahdahu laa sha’ree kalah; Lahul-mulku wa lahul-hamd; Wa’huwa aa’laa kulli shay’in qadeer. Narrated Abu Huraira r.a the Prophet ﷺ said: “Whoever says this Dua, 100 times will get the same reward as given for manumitting ten slaves; and one hundred good deeds will be written in his accounts, and one hundred sins will be deducted from his accounts, and will be a shield for him from Saytaan that day till night, and nobody will be able to do a better deed except the one who does more than he”. I have named my elder son after this sahabah without knowing all details of his life, now that i learned Alhamdulillah what a great name i chose.. JazakAllah for this lecture.
Other thing that came to my mind through this beautiful lecture and while we are witnessing the genocide in Gaza.. what a great job Muadh Ibn Jabal did in Yemen. May Allah protect Palestine and Yemen.. Ameen Ya Raab.

I find it really beautiful how shaykh omar offers these links, relationships and similarities between the companions in this series. Like with Muadh and Mus’ab in this episode. It really helps transform the image we have of the companions in our minds. May Allah be pleased with them and with our teacher shaykh Omar for connecting us to them

Muad Ibn Jabal was a great companion of our beloved prophet Muhammad (sal). My heart always have a great love towards Muad (RAL). Whenever I’m so weak in my religion, I remember this great man and his last conversation with our beloved prophet, before leaving Madinah. May Allah bless us those who love the companions and try to be like them in our life. This history class by Sheih Omar is so touching. Thank you Sheih for your wonderful history class.
All of my brother names came from the sahaba. Including mine :

2. Mu’ad my other brother
3. Hudaife / my lil brother
4. Sa’ad - my bug brother / first companion to fire the arrow and my brother name sa’ad told me this back home in Ethiopia when I was 5 and still remember it till this day. Missed my childhood and Islam stories 😢❤

Everything about this sirah is amazing until the minutes of 1:03:00. There will be no Muslim with iman in their heart able to hold back their tears, it felt like Rasulullah S.A.W did not just gave farewell to Muadh, but to all of US. It is like the feeling that I felt when I lost my father but this much more hurt, deep and sorrow, as if like we were there as muadh. 😭
May Allah grant peace, protection, and justice to our brothers and sisters in Palestine. May He ease their suffering, strengthen their hearts, and bring an end to their oppression. Ameen.

Peace be upon you, My best friend Hassan from Morocco, now living in my community in Windsor UK has it seems to given up on God, He is such a decent very hard working man with a decent wife who is modest and mother to 3 really great kids who I have looked after for 6 years, I am worried that he does not care for our fellow world citizens in Palestine. Those poor innocents murdered in their homeland. I reminded him of this and asked him : What would you do if u were and your family were in Palestine? He said he would nuke it. Sea of Glass. I need to get him back to Allah, God. He is my brother. How do I do it? He is very jaded., but still very decent. I will just keep being his brother as always.
