About the current bank situation, I'm really concerned. I am worried about a lot more if a bank the size of SVB may fail. I have a friend who manages a fast-growing startup and was severely impacted by the bank run. I have taken more than $840k out of my bank. Since the FDIC only provides coverage up to $250K, an implosion could have negative consequences. presently want to invest in the stock market. Does anyone have any ideas on how I might proceed?
We fail to realize that banks are commercial enterprises that are driven by greed as well. The over-leveraging of assets by banks starting in 2020 was one of the factors that led to SVB's collapse. I've never felt secure keeping a large sum of money in a bank. In other words, I invest through my financial advisor, reap the benefits, and then spend the money.
We were traveling in the same direction, my wife and I. I withdrew my money over the past two years and invested with her wealth manager. I won't be able to match her earnings over time, but at least I make more. Haha.

Well, there are a few out there who know what they are doing. I tried a few in the past years, but I’ve been with Melissa Terri Swayne for the last five years or so, and her returns have been pretty much amazing.

Richard did you hear about the fee increase on bank accounts that don’t go paperless on their accounts. One of my bank accounts just send me a notification that starting in July if I didn’t go paperless they would charge me a $2 fee each month. $2 times 1 million customers not going paperless is 2 million dollars. Talk about free money for the banks! 😮
Horizon charges $2 per month for mail in charges. I like mail better. But! I might go paperless to save $2

How do u get the shares I opened my account
Moomoo requires you have a minimum balance in cash and/ or securities for 60 days before they unlock the free stock. They don’t want people signing up and get the free stock sell it and close their account.
You can check your free stocks in the moomoo app via "Accounts" > "Stock Rewards". After you claim your free stocks, you will find them in your brokerage account corresponding to the market of these stocks.

After the '08 financial crisis, I've learned not to trust corporations. Yes b of a had people direct deposit on hold and I had to wait while they troubleshoot the problem. Then when I was on unemployment the unemployment cards had no money on them 😮once I had to wait so now the unemployment office is no longer dealing with them for people unemployment cards😮
