I respectfully disagree. The government now doesn't tax gold sales. All the governments would have to do is tax gold like any other good. That would immediately shut down a huge amount of retail gold purchases. And a huge part of the public would just shrug and be utterly indifferent.
The younger generation is not buying Gold, unless you are talking about Asians. This is still the battle of the East vs the West. The question is who will win.
