Since it came up, I feel like Oak would enjoy Hancock. Not saying he'd love it (I didn't), but it's a fittingly fun and somewhat heavy movie; Unrated goes a there a little more than Theatrical, but still not as much as would have had more of an impact. Still, great core cast, and a unique superhero movie. It's a good anyday film to watch directly or have on in the background and be satisfied either way with the choice. And a big ole hysterical YES to a Grandma's Boy reaction!
I met Linda Cardellini while she was filming Freaks and Geeks. She was in a weird as hell play with a friend of mine. First time I met her, I thought she worked for the Tony theater as she was taking out the trash. Technically, I worked with Jetemy Renner around the same time, but, though I was on set, I don't think we met. Thus show was inconsistent, but I love parts of it
So Quinn & Oak… I suggest HIGHLY that you guys watch Black Widow before you continue this show. You NEED to for context and a character that will show up. So I’d put a pause on this, react to Black Widow, and then resume and you’ll be caught up and not lost.

I agree. She also was in Bumblebee. Clint's wife was in the live action Scooby-Doo movies. She also a stint on ER when that was on. Memory Freeze on her real name, Linda Cardinelli or something like that.
In my opinion, Hawkeye is very underrated, Clint is my favorite Avenger and this is one of a few Marvel shows that I'm ready to rewatch hundreds of times
4:04 Kate failling to lock pick and the fact that with the intro we see Kate learning skills, first failling but with time getting better, is one of the aspects i love about her. She isn't perfect from the get go.
Hawkeye is easily the most underrated AVENGER. What I like about this show is that Barton needs a hearing aid because he cant heal the damage done to his ears as he cant heal like the Hulk , he doesn't have a metal suit like Toney nor is he a Norse God like Thor. Also the dog is comic book accurate. The dogs name in the comics is called lucky if I'm remembering correctly.
I can so see him as a mentor figure, more serious and wise, but still soft for young heroes and funny in downtime. Then during a battle scene he pops in to be badass and show he still has his stuff.
I'm glad you guys are watching this show. I think it deserves more love than what it got. The stakes weren't Loki level, but it still gave us a lot of good stuff. Hoping you'll enjoy it as much as I did.
Yasssss. I didn't have too big expectations coming in and fell in love with the series. Humor is my kind and there were emotional moments where I teared up. Clicked immediately on the video when I saw it.
They hired actual Broadway actors to play in that play. Red track suits guys are known as the Track Suit Mafia, directly out of the comics. They are also known for saying "Bro" quite a lot. The dog's name is Lucky the Pizza Dog. Straight out of the comics as well.
They actually made a Rogers: The Musical as a stage show at the California Adventure park XD But yeah, ever since Ultron, I've loved Hawkeye... or should I say Hawkdad? He really is the worn-out father of The Avengers as a whole... way more essential to the team than most people give him credit. As for the bell... yeah, that was a hazard that could have caused a lot of harm. As for whether the bell or the striker swings, historic bells would be operated by a rope, which would cause the bell's axle to rotate, and as the bell swung, it would impact the ringer. However, most automatically run bells are stationary, and have a small, motorized striker just along the rim.
There are many different classes for Archery competitions. Compound, Barebow, Olympic Recurve, traditional and longbow and so many more bow types. Some classes you shoot normal targets and some you hunt animals made out of rubber foam placed outside in forest and such. In the US compound and recurve are probably the biggest ones.
This show comes directly from the comics. The dog, Lucky, and the Russians, which are called the Tracksuit Mafia. The only real difference is Clint knows Kate and she's a little older. But it was very fun to watch the comic series come to life.
I loved how much Hawkeye felt like Hawkeye in this, especially the Matt Fraction run for the character. 😊 Plus, Hailee Steinfeld is great as Kate Bishop.
The ending is so perfect for an origin. We’re so enthralled by the OG cast that seeing somebody else and most importantly a YOUNG AVENGER is just *chef’s kiss*
I agree with The Oak regarding the bell tower collapse. If ringing it a bit made the whole tower collapse then that structure was a public danger to begin with - it was only a matter of time before a storm with a few wind gusts would cause similar forces. Totally not Kate Bishop’s fault.
They could have been renovating it or had that area blocked off. Maybe it was kept up purely for looks. Either way, it was her arrow that actually caused the destruction so she'd be liable.
@@edmunddantes7097 How do we know it was her arrow that cause the destruction? Maybe it just coincidentally collapsed at the same time. My point is that if the force of the arrow swinging around the string was enough to trigger it then there’s literally thousands of other possible causes that could have brought it down. Maybe a pigeon settled in the rafters the wrong way. Maybe it just rotted through. Maybe somebody slammed a door too hard nearby. The arrow hitting the bell in that way applied only a minimal amount of force - there’d be more force on the tower by a gentle breeze. If that’s all it takes to bring down the tower it was a public danger and would be impossible to blame on anyone if it collapsed.
@@AdamNisbett There's a lot of "maybes" in your comment. The law doesn't take "maybe" into consideration. The fact that her arrow DID hit the bell and at that moment the bell started to ring and then collapse is all that would matter. She was also caught by a security guard with the bow in her hands. Regardless of literally ANY other factors she would have been liable. To be honest though, none of that matters because it's a TV show and not that serious.
@@edmunddantes7097 I’m pretty sure the rule in the U.S. is innocent until proven guilty. Hence my argument is that you’d have to prove that the arrow caused an unreasonable force and not shoddy building and negligence on the part of the owners of the bell tower. Let’s say I throw a paper airplane and it hits the bell and the building collapses - would I be held liable in your mind?
@@AdamNisbett Not even close to the same thing. The bell fell as a result of her actions. She changed the type of arrow to grip the rope specifically to ring the bell. Her actions directly led to the bell falling. And like I said before, she was caught with the bow in her hand. Don't know why you're trying to paint her as an innocent victim when: 1)We as viewers saw her destroy the bell 2)She was held liable in the show 3)Her and her mother discussed her guilt

@@sirmoonslosthismind It's mostly because Clint was already pretty well-known as an Avenger. From everything in the first Avengers movie, leading up to Civil War, he was a known member of the team. Pardoning isn't the same as expunging. But...Clint's WIFE, on the other hand...probably has absolutely no trouble at all getting a loan like that.
We've watched this the last 2 Christmas seasons at our house. Next to Violent Night (you guys gotta watch that one, such a great surprise of a movie) its our new Christmas show viewing tradition. Keep being your awesome selves my dudes. And keep up that great editing Diamond Dave.
Hawkeye is one of the most underrated Marvel series. It’s kind of the story of what happens to a superhero when their time in the fight is over and how the things they’ve done can come back and haunt them. It’s also about the things a superhero does vs the PERCEPTION of what they do. There are some masterful surprise moments that could easily be overlooked so be careful. Finally, that comment, “Thanos was right.”….may seem funny in the moment. But it hits Clint differently. One because (Spoiler)……… . . . . . . . . his entire family vanished in the snap….and two because he lost Nat trying to reverse what Thanos did.
A Kate Bishop & Tom Holland Spider-Man team up would tip the banter off the rictascale.. MCU should've gone the "buddy cop" route after Endgame and put 2 supers in a movie together.
They're literally known as the tracksuit mafia!! It's sad Hawkeye show and And Black Widow didn't get as much attention as the rest even though they're just as good
Yes, I am happy you are reacting to Hawkeye too. Hawkeye's my favourite and I was glad he got some more screen time. I think they did an amazing job with mixing what was in the MCU and the comics.
This is Kate Bishop's introduction, she's a key member of the young avengers team. There is also another major character that gets their introduction in this series, but we haven't met them yet. Jack (Or Jacques) has a corollary in the comics too, but they don't really stick to it here. This series is mostly based on the Matt Fraction run of the Hawkeye series, which is so, so, so good, The Trak Suit Mafia is hilarious, and straight from that comic run, but this series isn't all light hearted. The comedy just makes the drama hit harder though, imo. It's a great balance. Glad that you're giving this series some love. The less Powered heroes are always the most interesting to me because they're so much more relatable and they have to try so much harder to keep up with the big guns.
I'm excited you guys are watching this! This was my least anticipated Marvel show - I wasn't even going to watch it (I still haven't forgiven Hawkeye for letting Natasha die). But, I watched, and I LOVED it. Now, I watch it while I'm wrapping Christmas gifts - the perfect soundtrack!
It's truly difficult to express how much I love the comic run that this show is largely based on - when the announcement for the series showed the same title design as Matt Fraction's series, I lost my mind. To make the show even better, they introduce a character on screen (new to the MCU) that I also love that isn't in the Fraction comic, so it was a nice surprise! But yeah, there are so many details in this first episode alone - seeing Lucky the Pizza Dog and the Tracksuit Mafia on screen with Clint Barton and Kate Bishop was BIG FOR ME ahaha. Also the return of the Ronin arc in some way, and Tony Dalton's character appearing (your reaction to seeing the actor after Better Call Saul was really funny).
I absolutely LOOOOOOOOOVED this series... it'll be kind of odd seeing it outside of the Christmas season, lol, but I can't wait to see how you enjoy it!
So, Rogers: The Musical ended up being developed into a full one-act show that you could go see at Disneyland for a short time. In the movie version however, you might recognize the voice of Adam Pascal as one of the back-up singers. He is the original Roger from RENT, which is just phenomenal and since ya'll are dipping your toes into the musicals now would be a great one on the list.
Hawkeye maybe isn't my favourite character of those who have their own series but I think his series did the best job with story pacing and giving all the characters enough time to have their moments! I think others felt a bit rushed towards the end. But i really enjoy this. Such a fun series!! I still need to watch Echo actually.
It's based on a comic book by Matt faction. You're reactions are great. Recomme d you watch the openings and closing carefully. Go back and rewatch the first it goes through Kate's childhood journey.
Can't say it's the best series I ever saw, but it's funny and entertaining. Your reactions will be funny! Love how Oak sees plot problems everywhere. 😁
You guys are going to really enjoy this show, It's a slow start but gets even better. There are some big surprises in the show, with more characters, but i think you guys will love Kate. She is so much fun.
Roger's the musical, from this series, was actually made into a proper 30 minute musical which was performed in the Hyperion theatre in Disneyland California and also it has been recorded and put on youtube. Please watch it as its as funny a a very potter musical in tone etc.
Why was Ant Man in the musical? It's an inside joke. In issue #1 (1962) of the Avengers the line up was Iron Man, Thor, the Hulk and Ant Man & the Wasp - Captain America didn't get defrosted until issue #4 (1963). Hawkeye, Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver joined in issue #16. Black Widow was a late comer - spending a lot of time as a Russian spy in the Iron Man comic and in her own comic before joining the Avengers. Obviously the MCU doesn't stick to the comic timeline. Jacques Duquesne (Jack Dew-cane) - also known as the Swordsman in the comics, one time mentor of Hawkeye and a man of questionable character - at least in the comics - not the same relationship here (this can play out any way they want). The bell tower. I'm assuming the building was discovered to have a structural instability, and was closed down and the bell had not been rung in years - of course they didn't inform the students. (There was a building with a brick stack on my college campus - I have no idea why it was there). Pizza dog - the dog is an actor, he has two eyes and is only acting as if he has one eye (or so I'm told by Trevor Slattery).
It didn't get a lot of attention but I thought Hawkeye was a joy to watch, street stakes for sure but not everything has to be big fate of the world stuff, Hailee Steinfeld is great as Kate Bishop too Lots of small references to the Hawkeye comics too; Clint's hearing aid, the Tracksuit Mafia (who have the Trust A Bro business) and the dog are all canon to the comics
Hawkeye and WandaVision are my favorite Disney+ series so far. I liked She-Hulk up until the very end. I like how she’s able to break the 4th wall like Deadpool but the final episode just feels a bit lazy to me.
They have different competitions or different categories in each competition for the different types of bows. Typically long bow, recurve, and compound. That also reminds me, I need to buy my son more arrows 😂.
Hawkeye time! Looking forward to this journey and what this will bring. What did we miss?

It’s kind of the story of what happens to a superhero when their time in the fight is over and how the things they’ve done can come back and haunt them. It’s also about the things a superhero does vs the PERCEPTION of what they do. There are some masterful surprise moments that could easily be overlooked so be careful. Finally, that comment, “Thanos was right.”….may seem funny in the moment. But it hits Clint differently. One because (Spoiler)………

A Kate Bishop & Tom Holland Spider-Man team up would tip the banter off the rictascale..
MCU should've gone the "buddy cop" route after Endgame and put 2 supers in a movie together.
I want watching that
I had no idea you guys were doing this series!! This show kicks ass I don’t care what anyone says
Oak w 32 questions in the 1st min..
Hailie was also in the leading role for Bumblebee.
Which is more fun than expected.
They're literally known as the tracksuit mafia!! It's sad Hawkeye show and And Black Widow didn't get as much attention as the rest even though they're just as good
I love this show. Glad you are finally reacting to it.
Hawkeye and Daredevil are the best marvel tv shows❤
I love all the series, except she hulk
Yes, I am happy you are reacting to Hawkeye too. Hawkeye's my favourite and I was glad he got some more screen time. I think they did an amazing job with mixing what was in the MCU and the comics.
This series is a lot of fun. The characters are the highlight here. 😊
OMG so glad you guys are doing this!!!!!!
I'm so happy y'all are going through these shows! This one is my top 5 of the Marvel shows personally. 💜
I love agents of shield exactly to see what else happened next to the movies.
The best MCU TV show! And you’re finally watching it! 😜❤️🙌🏻
9:57 Yep, that's Lalo Salamanca from bcs
Me: Oh, this seems like a nice show.
*LALO SALAMANCA APPEARS*
ME: *OH NO*
this and wandavision are my favorite marvel series
edit: wait and loki. i know thats like all of the shows but they are all really good i cant choose
Really looking forward to the reveal near the end of the series. Boy, are they gonna be eating crow.
10:48 She was also Velma in the live action Scooby Doo.
10:36 Fun fact if no one know can recognize her …. she played Valema in Scooby Doo movies.
I liked this one way more then I thought I would. Cool to see this being watched.
excited you guys are doing this!!!
I rewatched this for Christmas. Just a lot of fun
such an underrrated show, im hoping he gets more love in the mcu ^^
You guys are going to really enjoy this show, It's a slow start but gets even better. There are some big surprises in the show, with more characters, but i think you guys will love Kate. She is so much fun.
I am a huge fan of Rogers the Musical. Such a gift
Really solid series. It gets better by the episodes
The actress playing Kate was also the lead in, Bumble Bee
Yay! So glad you're doing this one
Oh this show is soooo good. You guys are gonna love it!
Roger's the musical, from this series, was actually made into a proper 30 minute musical which was performed in the Hyperion theatre in Disneyland California and also it has been recorded and put on youtube. Please watch it as its as funny a a very potter musical in tone etc.
I have been waiting for this!!!!!
Finally a market substitute for the show 😂❤❤
Why was Ant Man in the musical?
God bless 🥰 love this series
It didn't get a lot of attention but I thought Hawkeye was a joy to watch, street stakes for sure but not everything has to be big fate of the world stuff, Hailee Steinfeld is great as Kate Bishop too
Lots of small references to the Hawkeye comics too; Clint's hearing aid, the Tracksuit Mafia (who have the Trust A Bro business) and the dog are all canon to the comics
I loved this series, but I have always liked Hawkeye so glad you are watching it.
Hawkeye was fire🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Hawkeye’s wife was also the guilty Chutney from Legally Blonde
Hawkeye and WandaVision are my favorite Disney+ series so far. I liked She-Hulk up until the very end. I like how she’s able to break the 4th wall like Deadpool but the final episode just feels a bit lazy to me.
They have different competitions or different categories in each competition for the different types of bows. Typically long bow, recurve, and compound. That also reminds me, I need to buy my son more arrows 😂.
