I had a bread machine for years that I just loved. Sadly, it broke down. Since then, I've learned to do bread by hand, thanks to my father-in-law's recipe and teaching. I do a big batch and bake three loaves for sandwich bread all at once. I freeze two until needed and we have the third on hand. When my son was still home I had to bake almost every week, now it's more like every three weeks. I always try to get wrapping paper on sale after Christmas too, but for some reason this year the stores just whisked it all away and didn't have a post-holiday sale! The only things we could find were the perishable gift baskets.
That’s a great idea to make your bread in quantity, I do that when I’m making dinners that freeze well😊It’s sad stores didn’t have clearance you could take advantage of, I hope this is not a new normal. Thank you for watching my video, I really appreciate it!😊❤️
Hello Pam I buy Christmas wrapping paper after Christmas too. Hobby Lobby has their Christmas items marked way down after Christmas! Thank you for all the tips! Bath & Body has great candles.
I don't have a bread machine, but I do have a strong son living with me who has big warm hands. The dough responds to his kneading very well. I have found that Bob's Red Mill bread flour works well. I've tried other brands of bread flour & it wasn't any different than regular flour. Lately when I buy yeast from the grocery store, it's dead. I've tried Fleshmans & Red Star & it's hit & miss if it's alive. When I order Bob's Red Mill Yeast in bulk size bags it's always fresh. I store it in the freezer, so it doesn't go bad. Thanks for your tips!
I will try Redmill flour, it’s funny, because I did buy bread flour, and like I said in the video, I never noticed much difference, so I will definitely get Redmill. Great tip with the yeast, because I noticed that at times and then when I have a jar of not great yeast, I usually Put extra in the bread and it seems to work but I shouldn’t have to do that. Thank you so much for watching and thank you for the wonderful tip!😊❤️
