Hats off to this guy. I've always wanted to manual swap one of these and he took it to the next level. This is the tsx wagon Acura should have built! Millions of Subaru outbacks are on the road; Acura just missed the mark when they released this.
You got to love people's visions and what they want to do with a particular car and this shows his vision completed and you got to give it up for something that's a one-of-a-kind
I know the official 2010 Acura TSX V6 is one of the rarest Acuras known. But I really didn’t understand why the company didn’t release an official V6 version of the wagon.
The things i would do for this car! I have a 06 sedan v6 6mt accord and i hate that honda got rid of the accord wagon. I always loved the styling of the tsx wagon but such a shame it didnt even get the v6 auto let alone the manual
Man, that grille looks dope. I was thinking of doing the exact same thing on mine (I live in Europe so these are the stock grills). But I didn't know how it would look if I painted the edge in the color of the car instead of the cheap looking gray. Think i'ma do it.
sadly in my country you cannot swap engine that was not originally sold in that car (guess having the v6 in tsx would not approve for european accord as "stock")
Mikkel Andersen not really a lot of you have a donor car. If you mechanically incline should be fairly easy for you. On a difficulty scale I say 7 with 10 being the hardest

This is what we wanted, this is what Honda should have made. I will never understand why Honda doesn't make more AWD standard sedans, and don't even make AWD standard hatchbacks and wagons.
Clean sick wagon!! Was the rear subframe a direct fit or did it need customization? Did you need the front subframe for the motor to fit also? I have a 13 TSX WAGON thinking of going awd.
Cool whip!! I have a 2012 base TSX wagon...stock. The K24Z3 motor is one of the best and most robust Honda 4 bangers and works just great with the 5 speed and the paddle shifters in sport mode. I've always driven manual Hondas, but my Wagon is a daily driver that only has 67k on the clock. Good luck with the upgrades.
So RL driveline, TL diff, axles. Did you swap the rear trailing arm or hubs to accommodate TL or use TL trailing arms? Sorry for asking a question that might have been answered in the video. Figured I'd ask.
Ahhh bredda. Guidance & Inspiration. I have a CL6 type S sitting because i want to go awd, and i knew the 2010 tl wojld be the one because its the last 6mt. How about sensors and ecu? Did u have to change them as well? And were there clutch packs or like the acceleration device midway down the drive shaft originally on the TL?
Commons issues frequent were of break pads and Calipers go on them become good mates with your local car parts shop man 😂 the clutch kit is double the price of its rivals insignia and BMW’s old Accord and civics are cheaper but the 2008 to 2012 the 8th gen the clutch kit is very expensive most parts are od bolls not in stock need ordering in special which comes at a price and not cheap the accord burn oil For fun I only found out all this after purchasing one i was debating between Toyota avensis or Accord I just wanted something reliable for long motorway trips wish I got the Toyota now they are rated 5 star it’s like a money pitt wish I did my research before purchasing I just thought Japanese got to be good but only good thing I will say is the dash cabin and front seating area is very nice they do drive smooth and they look nice but the issues I mentioned and expensive parts is just it’s down fall I will be uploading videos of my car soon just currently wighting for a part 😂
I know this video is pretty old but hopefully the people in the video still check new comments. I would first like to say I am not trying to call BS on anyone. Secondly I am sorry about the long as post. I just have a few questions about the AWD set-up. Because the video states the TL AWD 6 speed manual transmission is used. As well as the whole TL AWD system including the rear differential. The 6 speed manual AWD TL uses the SH-AWD system. Which during the video the SH-AWD system is never mentioned. So I have spent the last 6 hours. Trying to understand and figure out how in the hell. The system is even operational and how is the AWD system even able to work. SH-AWD is not like the simple AWD systems used to make civics AWD. Where 90% of making a civic AWD is installing the mechanical parts to make it function. You can not just install the SH-AWD mechanical parts into a front wheel drive car. And instantly be able to jump in it. And start doing AWD launches from every red light in town. So my question is if you are using the TL AWD system. How are you able to get it to even transfer power to the rear wheels. And once you have got the power to the rear differential. How in the fuck are getting it to distribute power to the rear wheels. The SH-AWD system in order to even function. Requires constant input from a Powertrain Control Module, the Antilock Braking System, Vehicle Stability Assist System, Electronic Brake Force Distribution Module, Throttle Control System, Yaw Angle Sensor, Speed Sensors, Steering Angle Sensor, and Lateral G-Force Sensor. That is 9 different systems that are necessary and requires. In order to even allow the SH-AWD system to function properly. And the inputs from all those sensors feed into a SH-AWD module. This module acts as an independent ECU for just the AWD system. The module is continuously reading inputs from the entire system. And the second it notices any problem with part of the system. It automatically turns SH-AWD differential completely off. And the system defaults to front wheel drive only. And the system reduces available torque from the engine. Until the fault with the SH-AWD system has be corrected. So if you are some how managing to get the system to operate. And able to get it to run like a basic AWD system. I am very impressed it’s possible. And if this is the case I have to know how. If you don’t want to share on here you can email me. 😂
both the diff flange and the transfer case flanges on the RL and Tl are the same. the rl driveshaft is about 2.5" shorter than the tl. i had a custom spacer made to fill the gap
