Does removing the interior sheet metal pieces for weight reduction not affect the structural rigidity of the car? Does the roll cage make up for that loss?

I wonder if anyone has a way to control the SH-AWD's center diff to create a rear-biased AWD system by default. Honda's FWD cars do have very impressive handling, but not much will beat a solid AWD setup on the track.
