- A pilot who has been on an $11 million expedition to find out what happened to Amelia Earhart believes he may have found her plane at the bottom of the Pacific. Tony Romeo took sonar images of what seems to be an airplane-shaped object resting on the floor of the Pacific Ocean near Howland Island, which is located roughly halfway between Hawaii and Australia.

If this ends up being the Earhart plane then fund this guy to find MH 370
It's very possible that is her Electra. Definitely in the flight path. I can't wait to find out more.
It's great if it is. But that could be any plane. I'm sure that many small aircraft have flown over that region in the past 87 years.
No the guy who found it says there hasn't been any other plane crashes in that area especially planes of that era
@@deshon1499 that we know of. How many planes from both sides went down in the war that just went missing. He doesn't know, he's just guessing.
@@blair91234 he can tell by model and how it looks .. but we shall find out
As an added bonus, that white blob left of the plane is - you guessed it - Jimmy Hoffa! 1:10
😂😂😂
They should have gotten more information before reporting this story. There have been too many mistaken stories.
He had more info but they cut him off.
The reporter at the end stated that she was a " really good " pilot ! Actually she was an okay pilot that came along at the right time. Her husband exploited her and turned her into a money making machine with the book deals, endorsements, ect. and pushed her too hard . He liked the glamor and she liked his money that afforded her to fly. She was in over her head with this flight as well in over head with the complex plane she was flying. Her years risk taking in aviation finally caught up with her. Her accident is what is called a " doctor - lawyer accident " where one has the money to own a complex airplane but not the skills to fly it safely. This should of never happened .
Exactly . I researched a lot about her and came to the same conclusion. Too much marketing 👍👍👍👍👍👍
Until we get a remote operated vehicle down to photograph the wreckage there’s no guarantee that could be the Lockheed Electra 10E flown by Earhart A closer look at the wreckage will be needed.
If only I had a plane every time someone claimed this.
My money is on it not being a plane at all, let alone hers. I don't think it'll ever be found, sadly.
Unlikely that an aircraft crashing into the ocean wouldn't break up on impact. That "image" looks like an intact plane. I suppose she could have done a "Sully" type landing, but I wouldn't
bet the farm on that being Earhart's plane.
If she ran out of fuel which is likely she would have tried to land the plane over water
I still strongly suspect she was taking pictures of the Japanese military🤔
Japan was already subverted by the U.S intelligence at that point.
I hate to say it. but the image looks like an airliner with the nose broken off. Tapered wings on the fuselage. The Electra has straight wings.
cuda been the impact with the seas.makin the wings misshapened.
Depending on the impact, or angle of hitting the water, the pressure may even take one, or both wings off. The engine nacelles would act as brakes, putting tons of pressure on the wings. We'll have wait and see what they find.
I'd expect them to send down a sub next to video it and confirm what it is before they start making any plans to raise it - if indeed raising it after all these years is even feasible - especially from more than three miles down! A tad premature to start discussing it.
Why is this a news report?? All I heard in this video was”could be”, “what if”, “might be” and “possibly” they should’ve waited till they brought it up 1st before even making this stupid announcement
Because "might be" is enough for most people to be excited and make it newsworthy.
This guy's company needs funding for the project.
He will have to refute a LOT of information that suggest that Earhart and Noonan made it to the Marshall Islands and were detained by the Japanese on Saipan. Recovering her plane is about the only way to dispel all previous speculations.
It appears to me that it is a plane with sweptback wings. I don't think it is Amelias Lockheed Electra. I hope it is
If we could maneuver our trained thought on the inner deep and not space we would learn a lot more our World is special. 🐊
I hope they'll show the plane
*SHE WAS EATEN BY COCONUT CRABS* they found her powder compact and some other things on an island infested with giant coconut crabs...
She wore makeup?
@@markprange2430 She carried makeup - I cant say if she wore it or not.
Looking forward to seeing it in our museums!
FFS, leave it in place. It’s a grave.
lol it’s 4,000 feet deeper than Titanic. It’s not going anywhere.
Finally, if it is her plane.
I adore Stephanie Hanes. She's great at her job. NN should use her more. And where did Adrienne go?
That plane will be destroyed if they try to take it out of the water
The sonar looks promising. We'll know for sure when they send an ROV down there to take pictures. Kind of wondering why that hasn't been done yet. Nice to see TV reporters that look and sound intelligent.
The coconut crabs said she was delicious
This is precisely what the Japanese would have us believe so the story about Earhart and Noonan being murdered by the Japanese army will lose credibility. Many planes crashed and sank in that area between 1937 and 1945.
It would be very nice if possible to bring whatever is there of her...home. Finally Home,
If it is her plane..that is wonderful..fund him to locate mh370..for the families
First, If it's so deep how is it's wings and tail still in tacked? two Amelia was not a great pilot.
Could it be a WWI plane? Just asking.
I have to wonder if that’s why the fish smells like ocean ??
Dang , when are they gonna get down there to rescue her
If it really is her aircraft and her body isn't inside id start looking around for nearby islands
I remember the day when she went missing
And here I was thinking the Aliens abducted them.

@@piccalillipit9211jesus Christ!! 😮
@piccalillipit9211 Very interesting, I have not known this.
@@BrooklynBaby100 yeah they did an experiment with a dead pig and they tore it apart and took the bone underground into their burrows. these things are MASSIVE
She was a terrible pilot. If she were flying today, she would be permanently grounded. She crashed every thing she flew. She never was solo, she had a navigator onboard the plane. She was just a media magnet. She couldn’t hold a candle to Poncho Barnes and her aviation exploits. Poncho just wasn’t a media hound.
11 million dollars spent and all they have to go on is a grainy photo that is equivalent to 1970's photography? That was money well spent. I mean obviously the proof is in the pudding. Glub glub.😅
Someone needs to do their research! Amelia Earhart was not "a really good pilot", she was barely a good pilot. There were other women pilots at the same time that were really good pilots, some were great pilots, but Amelia Earhart was not one of them.
a whole world war worth of planes that could have downed and 80+ years if it's really her plane this is like equivalent to finding aliens maybe even harder than that lol
If it is her plane photograph it document it and leave it be. It’s a grave site like the titanic.
Watch unsolved mysteries season 3 they talked about Amelia earhart
World War II sent hundreds of planes down all over the Pacific.
When you see NR16020 on the tail or wing, you found her.
If she was a really good pilot, she would have not crashed…
LOL I bet they found Jimmy Hoffa and Bikini Bottom.
No way they can bring it up it will fall apart. Look at it with a rov to identify its a grave site
Find the ''mis'sing' Malaysian Airline
It should be left where it lies. It is a grave
Could be - but the first drone to capture proof that is is her plane is what I'm waiting for
She hit the unpenetrable firmament
Just another distraction.
My poopie smells bad.
well first they have to get physical eyes on it don't they, they aren't even sure
Time to make a deal with James Cameron for a recovery
Or Stockton Rush
Don't get your hopes up because it's probably not the plane until it's confirmed I'm not gonna believe it people saying it is the plane is hilarious 🤣. I doubt it until it's proven confirmed I won't believe it
NO
Leave the plane alone.
Crap !!! There goes my theory on aliens !!!!!!
You still have killer man eating crabs
@@vuho2075 That’s also true 🤣
Swed Wtf ?
To anyone who brings up Oceangate in their comments, you’re immature and need to grow up.
Her plane is on Saipan,sorry.
