I m a bengali. In around 1965-70 naxalite movement, lot of bengali youngsters were claiming pride in saying they were naxalities. When Siddhartha Shankar Roy acted as CM, the baloon of bravado and jingoism bursted. Same thing, I witnessed in Assam where every youngster I met, was claiming he/she belongs to ULFA. Same thing repeated in Punjab. I find the OBSERVATION of LATE Yashwant V. Chavan best. He had said, till age of 30, all are naxalites but not after.
