Kids rides gone from cartoon network, mooseburger lodge closed, and buccaneer battle… certainly anlot of land opening up and if you connect them all, and overake the go karts track, you’re looking at a tonnn of land for a major attraction
I imagine they removed the DC shop outside of the metropolis ride because it was comedically easy to steal from. It was small, the register was as far as possible from the exit and it got absolutely swamped with people every 30 seconds or so which provided easy cover to just grab something and take the one step to go outside. (Never personally did this but as someone who works asset protection in retail, that store stresses me out every time I walked through) 😂
Honestly at first I wanted to rip Selim’s head off as CEO. But now seeing all the improvements firsthand I’m actually quite impressed. Also worth noting is the new low sensory building in the Mardi Gras area by the balloon ride which is a definite improvement over just the bench area they had before.
Something I’ll add, I’m a local and I have a friend that works here, as far as he knows we are only running demon when certain attractions are closed, we are short staffed and corporate had to make cost cuts, sadly demon got the chopping block, we are still running it, just not as often
I just can't get over how deep their coaster lineup is its honestly deeper then cedar point or magic Mountain (although I feel like they could use an elite tier coaster)
Your wish has been granted! I think this might be preparation for a DC Universe expansion though, and I'm not quite sure how I would feel about that...
Most cosmetic improvements are prioritized and implemented by park management and corporate just gives them the money for it so I wouldn't necessary credit Selim on that. Capital projects like most new food offerings and the outsourcing of games department come from corporate though.
So maybe there working on a new ride or rides to take over the places. Cosmetic stuff is needed for old parks and up charge rides they see they dont make money so there probably looking at it.
@@TheBrainSquared not sure how they plan on making money if the don’t have anything open. They only had a select few open all last season. The first year in a decade where we didn’t play a single game or buy a picture. Everything was closed or broken.

Sad to see buccaneer battle go as I rode it a lot when I was younger when it first opened
The gaming center is basically like a gaming cafe but in the park. They will also hold competitions in there kinda like e sports.

I would love to see camp cartoon rethemed to represent Looney Toons! It hasn't felt the same since it was stripped of its Cartoon Network theming.
