Thanks a bunch for posting this. Building a New XRT Slider. First Electric RC. Had Nitro & Gas since the 70's. Ive been trying to decide between the 5690 & 56118 (1100kv) to pair with the MAX5. Any info on how the 56118 would differ from the 5690 performance wise ? I'll be running the M2C Motor Mount, 1:5 Scale wheels & tires.
The 56118 will be more powerful but it'll also be heavier and more prone to flexing the motor mount while bashing. I've been running the 5687 in my very heavy X-Max for quite some time now and have never felt the need for more power. Personally unless you're wanting to do speed runs the 5690 should be all the power you need.

@ImAcoastpedder The larger the motor the more power it has so the less likely it'll be to overheat. The sacrifice you make is more weight and more chance of it flexing the mound or possibly breaking something. If you're going to go 1250 KV I would recommend starting at maybe 22. I run 21 on my 1100 KV and it feels pretty good for general bashing. 25 might be a bit aggressive.
