- Some new combos are coming for 8s powered vehicles. The Max 6 G2 with built in Bluetooth, data logging, Smart Fan and high powered BEC is going to be paired with some new motors in the EZRun G2 line up. 2 sizes, 4990 (1650KV), and 5690 (1250KV) will be easily fit into todays 8s builds.

I notice you said this new system is fully sensored my question is is the max 10g2 esc combo fully sensored as well or only on the lower end
Still a plastic mounting base… would like to see at least metal anchors. I ripped too many esc’s out of my rigs and hate the look of zip ties holding in my esc.

5690 1250kv going in my xmaxx! Ive seen a few you tubers running it with very good temps. I like that the max6 system will be lighter then the max5 with a 56118 can. LOVE IT!!!

Nice, I might get some HW combos for my a couple of my cars and trucks the 4990 combo for my XO-1 and the 5690 combo for my X-Maxx and a Max 5 G2\56118 800KV for my Outcast 8s exb and a Max 4\70125 560KV for my future 30dnt.
Liking my max6 g2 with the 5690 motor in my xrt. My only complaint is the bluetooth. It is nice to have built in but when it doesn't work with the current version of android a backup method would be nice.

They already beat the price easily, but the Mamba Monster 8S is 4+ year old technology...

Can the temp and co be shown on the Flysky Noble? (like the Axe Foc R2 with the newest update)
IBUS.2 is something we hope to add to more products but do not have an official time frame for all that to happen yet.
Will hobbywing release a 4092 motor, or something larger than a 4078 but with the same diameter? Some of us can't fit the wider motors into our rigs, so a smaller diameter, but longer can would be great for cooler temps and more torque when space isn't available!
If you can't figure out a way to fit it, you probably shouldn't...

How’s the low speed control? Ex: for crawling in an Axial scx6?
Would love to throw one of these in it for bashing/crawling!!
They have crawling mode, and while it's fine, it's not as "good" as a dedicated crawling combo so to speak.
Just installed max 6 in xmaxx went with the 5690 and now power, it will not wheelie or go fast top end... put stock motor back in and same issues. Tried app and setting . What could I be doing wrong? Traxxas controller?
Does the esc work with the 56113 800kV Motor too?
With the motor sensor wire on this esc, will it fit in the Xmaxx like the previous gen?

Does the max6 g2 have thermal protection? I cant find where to change from low to high or anything about it. I’m running it sensored and forgot to turn my motor fans on and after running through a battery pack I checked the Bluetooth app temp reading and the motor was at 120c. The car never shut off it was still running fine I just stopped the run to check on it. I was shocked and disappointed that a censored system would go over 105c potentially ruining my brand new set up.
Is a heatsink and fans required? Running in an XRT.

I’ve had a max 6 combo(4985) and 4292 in short wheelbase Arrmas, they both fit nicely with some ingenuity on mounting the ESC.
Kindly I purchased a Hobbywing Max6 g2 combo with 4990 1650kv sensor motor. I have some difficulties and questions about it and I sent four emails about a week ago but didn't receive any response.
Do you know how much the motor should turn?
Does the esc has a thermal cut off for the esc and motor?
I also have the Max6 g1 and the thermal cut off can be adjusted and I am surprised how in the Max6 g2 it can not!
What does the punch level and the initial throttle force do, do they also change the motor timing?
Because I am finding difficult to keep the car straight when I use the turbo timing and the delay!
Kindly could you make a video on the Max6 g2 combo maybe we could understand the principles and what we should do not to damage the esc, motor or the car?

Punch is the response of the ESC to the Throttle input. Lower Punch slows down the response. Higher Punch, makes it more linear to throttle inputs.
Initial force, is how the ESC starts the motor. Lower is smoother, higher is more aggressive.

Hola llevo Max 6 G2 y 4990 , lo he programado sin protección, y 180 km h se me corta y se cae voltaje. Sabes por qué puede pasar??? Llevo 2 baterías de 4s zeee 120c y la app marca mínimo voltaje 23v . No sé por qué corta si lo he programado sin protección. Ayúdame por favor
I just recently installed the max6/5690 combo in an xmaxx and the truck is running very slow. The data log says max. Motor rpm is 16,591. If my math is correct it should be closer to 37,500 rpm on 8s. Im running 29t pinion and 46t spur. Is my gearing just way off or am I having another issue? Any thoughts? Thanks.
