OH my gosh - your comment on wanting to melt your face off resonates SOO much!!! I am an artist and work by myself all day, so being "on" smiling and chatting for 8+ hrs at a market is super draining! It sometimes gives me a headache, and I want to pull my cheeks down like you did in this video ;) Too funny! It gets better over time, but it's the opposite of a typical day so it's always a little overwhelming ;)
I tend to wait and see if someone is looking at my work for more than a few seconds before saying hello and maybe mentioning something about my work being hand-painted! I am more passive for sure. Great job, I'm sure you made everyone feel comfortable as your personality and work reflect that!

I agree with you. I also don't want to talk to vendors unless I'm interested. However when I sell at a craft fair, I like to tell people quickly that my pillow fabric is handwoven and to let me know if they have any questions. Then I just like to give them space to look and make their own decisions. I think the product also determines how much interaction is needed.
