I'm 73 and have been rebounding for 8 yrs. It's the fountain of youth. I have the Bellicon, made in Switzerland. A great rebounding YT channel is 'Earth & Owl'.
Thank you for the channel recommendation! I’ve already subscribed and have watched several of their videos. I just have to wait for Amazon to deliver my rebounder!!!😊
For many years, Barbara O'Neal, an Australian Health Practitioner, has been promoting rebounding based on the NaSA findings. She is a great lady to follow on health related matters!
I started rebounding about a year ago at age 59. Sorry if this is too much information, but I've always had very dense breast tissue which made mammograms difficult to read and self exams more difficult. After about six months of rebounding I noticed I no longer have dense breasts. I'm assuming that condition must have been related to my lymphatic system and proper drainage fixed it. Just one of the many benefits to rebounding!
Interesting...I have dense breasts too, I am 58. I have to get an ultrasound with my mammogram. Do you have one with the bar or without? I am really considering doing this.
@@debbiedimascio3634 Actually, the one we have is a cheap one we bought years ago and it has no handle. Initially I kept it very close to other furniture so that I'd have something to grab on to if I lost my balance. I can tell you my balance has improved a lot.
I am 65 and I have been using a rebounder for 25 years wouldn't be without it !! Walk downstairs in my pajamas and I can start my workout !! There's no excuse 😊😊
That was really motivating to hear. I have the excuse that I have to go downstairs and outside. Now that I have read your routine, I am going to go downstairs and outside! In my pajamas!! ( I also have a second one that I can bring inside : ) )
I started in February with 5 minutes and honestly had to grit my teeth to get through it. I’ve done Pilates for years but resisted doing cardio bc I’m a former smoker (denial/lie I told myself!). I worked up to 15 minutes not really enjoying it. I learned about mindset more recently and started saying the opposite of my thoughts: “I love cardio. Pain means I’m working hard. I burn fat and build muscle. I’m a beast.” Etc. Now I’m up to 30 minutes and loving it! I listen to worship music and praise God! I realize the devil doesn’t want me doing zone 2/3 cardio bc it’s so amazing for mood, energy levels etc. The enemy will trick us any way he can to make us less effective for God’s Kingdom. If you hate it at first. Keep going, setting small goals (5 minutes, 10 minutes etc) and speak out loud the opposite and f any negative thoughts
This has strengthened the muscles around my knee cap. I had gotten into a car accident almost T-boned so everything on my left side was affected and my legs and back just were weakened and I would walk with a limp. This rebounder strengthened my muscles in calves and around kneecap area. I no longer walk with a limp, I just had to strengthen that area, and I do strength training 3 times a week and it didn't strengthen those muscles in calves and kneecap area. I no longer have to wear a knee support brace. I was so blown away. This was a God send. Thank you. Also, anyone having difficulty moving their bowels, this does it.
Rebounding totally TORCHES the ab muscles too, ladies. Your core will flatten like nobody's business, without doing a single plank or sit up. Even if you're not focusing on sucking in your tummy while bouncing. It's my go-to cardio, since they're portable and will fit in even the smallest homes. Take it outside on the back porch in the morning when the weather's good. Follow a routine on youtube, or just blast whatever music you feel like and bounce to that. This is one of those rare"little effort-big reward' ways of exercising.
@@RachelGreenbaum YES, 1000 times YES!! You're contracting those muscles without even knowing it during rebounding. It's that whole G-force thing Shea was mentioning. And, if you were to CONSCIOUSLY focus on sucking in your stomach while bouncing, the results come even faster.*** ***IF your particular lower belly pooch is from pregnancy, then you might have 'ab separation' ---there's a medical Latin term for it which I can't pronounce...lol---if that's the case then what fixed it for me was doing simple 'corset' breathing technique. There are numerous examples of it here on youtube. :)
@@karenokeane6461The ab separation condition is Diastasis Recti. Thank you for the information. I placed my order for one a little while ago and am looking forward to getting started.
I’ve been rebounding for about 10 years, I’m 67 and LOVE my rebounders. I have several trampolines with springs and bungee cords. They each have their benefits ❤. Thank the good Lord I haven’t been sick for a very long time 😍 I hope to bounce into my 70’s and 80’s 😊
Rebounding is what helped me get my health back. I was very sluggish and had fatigue everyday (at 39 years old). Nothing would get rid of the fatigue and sluggishness. My gut was healing after I'd found out I had food intolerances, and I'd had surgery for Endometriosis earlier that year. I would walk each day until the fatigue neutralised (about 1.5 hrs to 2 hrs) because it was the only thing that got me feeling a little better. But it never energised me, just helped the fatigue neutralise. I started rebounding after I went to a Tony Robbins event and he swears by it. In the mornings I had strong brain fog and fatigue and I started doing the health bounce for lymphatic drainage in the mornings. After about 20 minutes the brain fog would lift and the fatigue would neutralise. I wouldn't get and extra energy but gee it felt so good to have that fatigue lift. I kept it up everyday because it was essential, I didn't need the 2 hour walks anymore, eventually just 10 minutes a day of the health bounce. I started exercising soon after, on top of the 10 mins rebounding (just the health bounce), and now, seven years later I'm much fitter and stronger than most people my age, I lift heavy weights at the gym and do HIIT sprints. Every day you will feel better and be healthier over time. The health bounce is also excellent when you're coming down with something. Do 10 mins bouncing, 3 times a day, you will feel so much better. You can feel it pumping your lymph system around your neck and it helps clear that horrible feeling when you're really sick. Also excellent when you have a headache or brain fog.
Wow! Amazing! I'm happy to hear that you found a solution for your exhaustion. I've suffered for may years with fatigue, In the last 9 years I've had to stop working etc, etc. This Summer so far my fatigue is so bad, I can barely leave my bed to go to the bathroom, or get a glass of water. I'd bought a trampoline many years ago, & have had it stored away for a long time. I'm going to get it out of storage & try to do some rebounding. You've given me some hope. Thanks!
Your video showed up randomly in my feed this morning. I am turning 65 in about three weeks. I have been using mine as a towel drying rack 😮. I've had a severe pain in my sciatica and right groin/ hip for nearly two months. Every move was tear inducing!!! In just one three minute session this morning l am 100 times improved. Not totally pain free but MUCH better. Feeling dumb for not doing this sooner. 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
I just turned 72 nine days ago. I have the Bcan with springs. I bought it a few months ago. I'm quite sedentary from PTSD from a horrible narcissistic relationship that I left over two years ago. Your video has inspired me to get on my rebounder and get my life back. Thank you so much. You have a new subscriber 💪🏾 🙏🏾❤️
I too realized being in the funk I was in. I was still letting this horrid relationship control me. Now every once in awhile I'll get triggered about something. But I rebuke it in the name of Jesus because God does not want us miserable on this Earth. He wants us to enjoy what he's created for us. You go girl, you can do it
My Oma (grandmother) rebounded every day until she passed and I totally believe it led to her long life. I remember her rebounding as early as the 1980's when she was in her 50's. She was German and I think it is fairly popular with older people in Europe.
Fun fact: I’ve been rebounding for years but my favorite RUclips video to rebound to are YOUR videos!! No joke. I watch all your amazon recommendations while rebounding! 😂😂 glad you discovered the wonderful world of rebounding!
I've been rebounding for 8 years and I love it! I started out with a cheap one from Amazon to try it out and then upgraded to a Bellicon - it's like night and day between a cheap metal spring rebounder and a high quality bungee rebounder. My favorite moves are jumping jacks, twists, high knees and the health bounce. 👍❤
I bought a cheap rebounder more than 20 years ago and used it every morning for years (until my heart crashed in 2018). I jumped for 1 song on my ipad and then ran for a song. After about 30 minutes, I'd stop. I began this because my knees were feeling badly after long runs. I'm just beginning to use it again after years of being fairly immobile and I'm looking forward to the fun! FYI, I'm 74.
I also have a Bcan, and love it!! I am 70 and it’s the best thing I have done for myself!! I made a JUMP playlist and it makes it so fun. It’s so easy to just hop on it in the morning. And here’s the best thing, if you have kids in your life, they love it!! My nephew comes to visit and he will literally bounce all day!! It’s good for bone density I believe yes it’s does boost your mood because it’s fun! I keep it right out in my living room and after I have my coffee and muffin I hop on to start my day! It gets everything flowing. Go slow and be careful getting on and off you will feel off balance until you get used to it. I like Earth and Owl too to learn different moves, her music could be better though. I find the music is everything, if it’s stimulating it will keep you going. Madonna and Michael Jackson are perfect beats for the rebounder!!! Barbara ONeill is the one who got me started on this, I think she’s amazing!!!
Oh Shea, I am so happy you did this video! i am 64 and bought a rebounder a couple of years ago. We moved, fixed up our house and all the other life happenings and forgot about my rebounder! ! love how you showed keeping your heels down, I totally forgot that! I am getting my rebounder and will start with the 2 minutes a day! Thank you Shea♥
Listen……….. what was the one thing we did as kids that mom hated??????!!!!!!!!!! Jumping on the bed!!!! The kids next door had a trampoline and we’re on it daily, we called them the jumping boys!!!! I’m a massage therapist and the number one request was lymphatic drainage massage. Let’s get healthy people. Thanks for the review, I’m ordering!!!!!!
haha. 😄 this reminds me of a scene from Roald Dahl's Matilda the Musical (2022), when Matilda [Alisha Weir] sings the Naughty song: ruclips.net/video/ozNTvNZFNnE/видео.html
@@peterleyshan5738 that’s hilarious. Me and my cousin opened the bean bag chair and she got in it beans went everywhere!!!!!! Mom and my aunt got suspicious when they heard the sweeper!!!!
I’ve been using my Cellerciser for years. Other exercises have come and gone but this and walking are my daily go to. 68 trips around the sun, and counting! Thank you for getting the word out.
You turned me on to caster oil & now it looks like I'm going to be a rebounder... in Iowa - during the cold months - I can see LOVING this! Thanks, Shea!
Going on 60 I rebound 1st thing in the morning 10-15 minutes, walk 1.5hrs a day and do weights 3x a week I feel great! Love my rebounder haven't been without it in years, so glad you are enjoying it Shea and yes, it is addicting and fun : )
@@Coffeeandtypos Hi, I wake up 4ish am do my gratitations (gratitude's and meditation) as I lay in bed prepare my mind for the day, get up do bathroom stuff start my water on boil for my pour over coffee and rebound till the kettle is done, do the pour over let it settle and finish the rebound that's somewhere between 10-15 minutes total jumping. Make my coffee turn on the radio get my agenda and write down 3-5 things I am thankful for and what I need to get done for the day, check emails and listen to Micheal Brown show for an hour. Finish my coffee, rinse out my cup go brush my teeth put on my walk clothes get my keys and phone and out the door I go to walk for 1.5 hours I have different routes I do every day. I talk over my issues with God and think about what he has replied to me with. I say good morning to all the people I pass, stop and pet any pups I meet along the way, get walked then get home shower and get dressed for the day. 3x a week I do an arm work out with weights before bed (RUclips videos) and always do squats brushing my teeth in the am and pm for 2 minutes as my timer on the toothbrush is a 2-minute brush cycle. I eat mostly meat, a few different veg and do have a few walnuts and chocolate chips daily. I also have 2 vodka fizzy drinks in the evening in the summer. I try to go to sleep as early as possible since menopause destroyed my sleep rhythm so at least 5-6 hours but seem to wake up several times a night to pee. I love rebounding it is such a release and, in the afternoon, sometimes I jump on for a few minutes if I'm sagging in energy to give myself a boost
1:37 Bungees only give a higher g force if the bungees are tight. Otherwise, spring will be best, and it’s hard to beat a Cellerciser, but I do love the quiet, soft bounce of my bungee rebounder! ❤
Been a rebounder user for 8 years now. Here in New Zealand we have a Lymphaciser. Uses metal springs. Rebounding and the connection to NASA is decades old. You don’t need to increase G forces to get all the benefits of rebounding - lymphatics are moved by movement of any kind. Even breathing moves the lymphatic system
In my opinion the Cellerciser is the top of the line in rebounder. The NASA study is based on the way it's built and the material of the center pad. I've had other rebounders and the only one that tries to come close to the Cellerciser is the Maximus XL. If you can afford it...Cellerciser; if you can't afford it....save up for it😅
@@moms5at I have a Cellerciser and a Bellicon and love both! I do think the Cellerciser gives the best g-force though, and that’s important! I use both throughout the day. Both were great investments! 😊
I just ordered it. I’m so thankful that you’ve proven yourself to be COMPLETELY trustworthy and so knowledgeable about the products you endorse! I’m to the point that if you recommend it, I don’t even make myself do my own research on it. I can’t say that about anyone else!
If you are a heavy girl who doesn't like to work out, you need this!!! Shea mentioned this a few months ago, and I saw Brittany Vasseur mention it too, and it looked like a ton of fun! I got a nice sturdy rebounder with a handle bar, that's rated for a lot of weight as I am quite heavy. I have been very sedentary and work from home, and this is the easiest thing I've found to do - I get on it almost every day! I feel so happy every time I'm on it and for a long time afterward! 😊 I feel so much more capable and willing to work out and do more because of it, it helps me get unstuck. Absolute blessing to have in my life, thank you so much for your recommendation!!! You changed my life!!! 😇 💖 🙌
On US Amazon the equivalent I got is the KOKSRY 50" with bar called "Rebounder Trampoline for Adults - 40/50" Foldable Mini Exercise Trampoline". Rated for 450 pounds. I have the space to keep it set up all the time, and wouldn't store it away every day, perhaps if you want it to be a little more easy to deal with go for something made with the rubber straps instead of springs, or the smaller size. The 50" is nice to do proper star jumps on though :)
Me too! I am 350 lbs and 50 yrs old. I have always worked out and hiked and walked a lot, but I wanted something I could do for a few minutes here and there throughout the day because I work from home in front of a computer for 8 hrs. Also, I broke my 5th metatarsal and could not walk or drive for 3 months. so I knew I would need to rehab gently as I returned to weight bearing. I bought a JumpSport that folds in half for easy transport and has a handlebar. In July, when I'd been walking again for about a month and could walk 2 miles, I started rebounding a few mins a day and was able to only do about 5 mins at a time before my legs tired. It is now mid-August and I can rebound for 45 mins. When I go outside for a walk, I can now walk 4-5 miles in one session. I really think the rebounding has helped me make so much progress with getting back in shape and able to get back to hours of walking after those months of no movement. I still don't fully jump with both feet off of the rebounder mat much because of the broken bone in my foot still in the healing phase, but I do the health bounce and high knees and other moves where one foot is on the mat.
I got my rebounder about a month ago. Mostly for lynphatic system. I do the health bounce, "walk" in place, and do twists. I'm up to 40 minutes a day. I watch tv shows. My feet never leave the mat. I struggled to find a heavy duty rebounder that could hold my weight. I love it so much
@@vickyb9918 I’m sorry, I’m just seeing this! I chose the Leaps and Rebounds rebounder. It’s very good. It’s a much better price point than many on the market, and they have a lifetime warranty on it (not the bungees though). I have never used the B-can one that Shea is using, but I would definitely try that actually. Reviews seem great, and the price point is even better than the Leaps and Rebounds!🙏
I bought this same rebounder during July's Amazon Prime days. I was going to return it. But now after watching your video & reading comments from other viewers I think ill keep it & give rebounding a try . Thank you !😀
I am 71 and have been doing the health bounce for 30 days. I started slowly, with two minutes in the am, and am now doing five minutes am and pm. Haven’t seen drastic changes yet, but hope to build up to fifteen minutes twice a day. At my age my body feels inflexible, but I can easily do fluid dance moves on the rebounder. I bounce to Apple’s 70’s dance music playlist and it is a blast! Good luck to you!
Love it! Have you been watching Barbara O'Neill? If not, I definitely recommend you check her out. Rebounding, Castor Oil packs and heaps of natural health tips etc. Thanks so much for the video! I love all the benefits you shared. I'll be looking at getting one of these. Edit: I just spent the last 2 hours looking for a rebounder and purchased one! I've been thinking of this for ages. Thanks for the encouragement I needed :) Second edit: 😂 it arrived today!! This thing is unreal. I can't believe how much fun it is. I've already done two workouts and it's only been set up for the last 40 minutes. Do yourself a favour and get one! So fun! Crazy to think there's all those health benefits too. Stoked I bought it. Thanks so much for the reminder to get one Shea.
@divakim206 I bought the Costway rebounder with arm bands and removable handle. It has great reviews, well priced and excellent features. Hopefully it'll arrive this week.
I am almost 64 and have been using on the these for more than a year. I used to be a runner, so this lets me still "run" without all the hip and knee issues. I did not know about the "health bounce" but will definitely incorporate this into the routine.
Shea, I’m 71 and my doctor keeps telling me to walk for exercise. I’m not a fan of the summer heat and I have asthma, so your RUclips together with all of the positive comments, have convinced me. I paused your video and went straight to Amazon and just in time. It was a flash deal, with a great price and a $10 coupon. I did order the one with the bar, I do think that is going to be safer for me. I’ll let you know if it works for me. Thanks so much for the recommendation 😊
Me staring at the page hoping the flash deal will manifest like I do when you want to eat something you don't have, and stare in the fridge like it's going to appear. :')
Used it the first year of Covid then put it in the closet after a while. It did make me feel better and more toned. Am getting it out again! Thanks for this video.
YAY!! I showed your video to my husband and he thought the Rebounder was a great idea. We are both dealing with injuries and feel the Rebounder could help both of us. It arrives tomorrow, I’ll let you know how it goes. What we really liked was that we could do it a few minutes several times a day and still see results. Building bone density is an important factor for me.
hi shea im 65 and and a fan of yours i purchased a rebounder 6 weeks ago because i retired 2years ago and found that i became opposite of when i was working i was very physical my legs began swelling and my lymphatic system was block i felt like i was dying , i saw a doctor on you tube who recomended this to turn your health around no matter your age or how bad a shape you are in and not mention be able to do this at home. and i have totaly turn my health around and really enjoy it .i was so happy to see you put this to the test. i follow many things you recomend , i value your honesty and expertise, thank you for all you do you are an insiration😍
My mom started rebounding in the ‘80’s & always told me about all the wonderful benefits from rebounding or jumping on a trampoline. We had one with springs & I inherited & used it even in the early 2000’s! It started to dry rot, so we threw it out. About a month ago I bought the same one you have. I jump on mine for 5-10 minutes prior to doing a rowing workout, then I jump again for about the same time after my workout, then I stretch. I’m glad to finally have a rebounder again.
@@neliajohnson9023 that sounds like a great workout. I really need to start stretching again. I used to be so limber and now all I do is lumber. Around. 😂
I got my rebounder a month ago and immediately got Covid so I was not able to start until a week ago. I love it. Thank you for all the information. I knew it was good for lymphatic drainage and easy on joints but so many more benefits. I was not able to get my heart rate up high enough for aerobic benefit with just walking, well now I am able to with rebounding. I just subscribed to your channel and hope you have some routines to follow but your suggestion of alternating the health bounce and jumping jacks for one minute each is so simple I believe that is all anyone would need. thanks again
Thank you for this video. It most likely saved my life! I have arthritis all over my body and am recovering from multiple strokes. I have been looking for a safe way to get some movement that isn’t basic physical therapy. Your focus on lymphatic drainage was what really made me want to try this. I have been looking up every possible way to clear my lymphatic system with teas, etc. Rebounding is what I needed Al along! I am looking forward to getting mine from Amazon and rebounding to regain my health! Thank you Shea, Thank you!
I have a lot of pain also from arthritis, Fibro, and neuropathy. My daughter told me to cut back on carbs and see if it affected my pain level. I tried it and it changed my pain level dramatically. I would try different high-crab foods to find out which made me hurt worse and that's grains. I just know I feel so much better.
There is a website: EarthClinic/borax where many have posted testimonials of reversing/improving their arthritis pain. Hope you check it out to see if this would work for you. Personally, I believe our bodies are incredibly made - and when we are deficient in something (vitamins/minerals) our bodies tell us (pain/disfunction).
I‘m 61 and I have been using a Bellicon rebounder (I live in Germany) during the last 5 years. My overall health and my bone density have improved tremendously! I‘m looking forward to excersing every single day (and I‘m not a sporty type gal 😅), so I cannot recommend this kind of training enough!
Hi, great to learn that this can help improve bone density. Could you please share how you knew it improved and by how much in how much time? Thank so much!
I love rebounding I bought a Bellicon (bungee cords) about 8 years ago for my health. I use to run but suffered with plantar fasciitis a lot. Using my Bellicon plus you can change the strength of the bungee cords I really see the difference in my body. As well as lymphatic drainage the rebounder helps improve joint mobility especially for people with arthritis, stress relief, the list is endless. The Bellicon is pricey but I love the idea of changing the bungee cords depending on what I fancy doing. I’ve never regretted buying a rebounder just wish I did it sooner❤❤❤
Shea, just a cautionary tale. I was told by my Pilates instructor about a woman well known in the Pilates world who was quite experienced with rebounding. She did not have a bar, took a fall, resulting in severe and permanent damage. A fall can happen to anyone... young or old, experienced or a novice. I have two rebounders, both with stability bars. So glad to see you enjoying rebounding!
Growing up with a pediatrician and internal medicine doctor, I would hear cautionary tales like this often for years, which made me worry and veer away from purchasing a rebounder, although I really want one. I got a vibrating plate instead due to limited space in my home. If I had a big yard, I would opt to get a giant trampoline (large enough that I’d land on something soft-on the trampoline itself just in case).
I keep a chair beside it, in case. Doing everything is a risk, like my mom used to say "if you're afraid of getting hurt you'd better stay in your rocking chair (which we never had), which could collapse".
@@hoboonwheels9289 Exactly!! I love your mom’s quote!! 😂 I will add though that I do have things to grab onto around my rebounders-it’s rare, but I’ve had to grab a few times over the years. 😬
I highly recommend listening to Barbara O'Neill's teaching on the rebounder. Just to add a bit more on the health benefits. I take mine out on the side deck and enjoy watching the sunrise and breathe deeply through your nose. Barbara teaches specifics. So thankful.
I've been rebounding for about 8 years now. It's actually when I watch RUclips videos! I started for the lymphatic drainage but have continued rebounding instead of walking when it's insanely hot outside (I live in Texas).
I used to use a rebounder back in the 80's when my children were babies during their naps. I wasn't able to leave to go running. I lost a lot of baby weight and felt great! Now I'm in my early 60' have had neck, back, foot and bilateral hip replacement surgeries. I like the lymphatic benefits you mentioned without jumping. I may need to give this a go! I'm glad Your video showed up in my RUclips feed! Thanks!😊
I did a video about the over 50+ benefits when using a rebounder, a few months ago...I have been using it for almost a year...and can't believe how effective it is!! And I am a fitness enthusiasts for over 20 years!! 🎉❤ So glad to see others talking about this topic!! 👏🥳
Now, I will start rebounding. Always wanted to but never knew which one to buy. The fact that you started with 2 mins and gradually add more minutes is something I can do too!!!! Thank you for recommending the one you used. I am ordering it today.
Thank you so much for sharing🎉 I am not a "jim bunny"... I enjoy 10 min moderate movement at least 5 days a week ... I had a bungee and spring, but sold my bungee because I just feel better on my spring. I l❤ve to watch "I jump instead" and "Earth and Owl". I am 50 and get great muscle tone, Rebounding helped me to shed the last 5kgs I struggled to lose along with fasting. My Rebounder is up to 120kg's so my whole family can use it. 🇿🇦
Thank you Shea! I literally have a new rebounder in a box in my garage that I haven't had the drive to actually bring it in the house and set up.... Guess I'm going to do that tonight and start this journey🩷
@@PeaceIsYeshua thank you!❤️That was a really nice comment! My rebounder is set up and I've used it a few times already😊I need to get an actual schedule going, but any progress is good progress
As a certified lymphedema therapist (CLT) the lymphatic system does indeed have a pump (multiple, actually). The muscles of the calves, buttocks, forearms are the greater pumps, and your diaphragm is yet another when using deep breathing techniques. The bouncing definitely uses your calves and buttocks so, yes, the bouncing (rebounding) helps.
You have NO IDEA how much I appreciate your doing this video. I began on Mounjaro about a year ago and I have lost 65lbs and my Doctor advised that I would now need to start doing some kind of exercise to maintain muscle or I would start losing muscle. Well, I have been really stressing out about what to do! I HATE exercising and I live in Texas so it’s miserably hot here so going for a walk wasn’t possible, and I didn’t want to go to a gym because I knew I’d dread it and I’d give up and then it would be a waste of money. I had seen these on Amazon and I really considered getting one just to get me up and moving. I work a desk job so I’m so pathetically sedentary and I have just felt hopeless about what I could do that I could do in my own home and would actually be a little bit fun. My ideal class would be those bungee cord aerobics classes! But, I live in a tiny town where they don’t do them. I’m ordering one of these TONIGHT! Thank you, thank you, thank you for this! I’m actually really excited now!
@@SheaWhitney i’ve recently put on a massive amount of weight and I just started walking, I’m 43 years old. I haven’t really had too much trouble losing weight when I’ve put on some in the past, but in the last two very stressful years I’ve put on about 60 pounds. I am so excited about trying this! I know I’m gonna, enjoy it as much as you’re describing!
I’ve had a rebounder for several months noticed a weight loss pretty quick. But I wasn’t really doing it correctly and I hurt my knee. I started to watch beginning videos which helped me a lot. I’m 57 I use to rebound in my 20’s I had no idea the health benefits you get from exercising so little. Incredible. Thank you Shea for sharing all of the benefits of rebounding and your results as well.❤
THANK YOU, Shea!!! This is just the video I needed. Was feeling sluggish and like I needed to do something new, and I have a rebounder in my closet. On my way!!! You rock!!!
I am 56 years old and about 6 years ago I broke both my knees and crushed the bones in my big toe. I took to walking about 2 years after surgery bc I needed to get stronger. I haven't walked in a few years bc I lost too much weight. I had foot surgery last year but with all the pins in my knees, it's hard to even ride a bike on the beach. I end up with bruises all over my legs but just general everyday things I do bruises up my knees. Doctor has said the pins need to come out but I just can't think of a double knee surgery again.....not at this moment. This sounds like something I could do since I've been a hot mess the last few years. Thanks for bringing this to my attention. I'm going to give it a try.
You have osteoporosis and seriously bought one based on an influencer’s 10 minute blab. She has no athletic ability whatsoever and certainly isn’t a medical doctor.
I started rebounding many years ago. Sadly I cannot do hard core cardio on it anymore. I have lower back issues & it really does aggravate it. But I do still use it for lymphatic benefits. I love it so much. The key to working out is to find what you love. I love weight lifting & Pilates but only form of cardio I have ever loved is rebounding.
You had me at bladder control issues ..LOL ...since the birth of my son and getting worse through the years .. I AM GWTTING THIS!!! I walk/run most days out on trails but I would love to try this!!!
I love this video Shea !Very accurate and will help many. I started rebounding to recover from breast cancer...for lymphatic drainage. It is phenomenal!!! Best regards xx
I bought that same rebounder just about a month ago!! I love it, easy to assemble. I found a good RUclips channel to follow. I also bought a vibration plate at the same time.
@@janetjaken1389I like it. My Dr suggested I get one. I bought mine on Amazon, mid priced. It has 5 programs or you can set your own level and time. It came with two resistance bands the attach to it for exercises. I was actually sore the first time I used it. Not sure if that’s normal but I’ve been fine since.
I started rebounding about a month ago and agree with you! I can't believe how fun, easy, and all the benefits....so so good! I saw more muscle tone in 8 days! I use the Cellerciser and follow the free live youtube of I Jump Instead.
I have a rebounder I got a few years ago (and then had a breast cancer diagnosis). You have motivated me to get it out and put it into use!! Also, I just heard on the news this AM that aerobic exercise helps with brain fog from chemo (which I still have some a year later). So I came to look for rebounder videos to use mine for aerobic activity and your video really gave me a great approach to start with....and keep it simple. As a teen, I enjoyed my mom's mini-tramp and that is why I got one. I already walk 30 min a day, but it isn't aerobic. Thanks so much!!!.
I just got a rebounder for Christmas and have done two workouts and I feel really good! I loved your video. It’s very informative. I will send it to all my friends who I think would benefit in rebounding! Thank you
I’m my late 30’s I used to do this jump routine to upbeat music to warm up before my workout. I would just jump on the floor not knowing how much it was benefiting me since I never heard of rebounding back then. It quickly helped me tone and get so much out of my workout. I lost the weight I wanted and looked forward to my workouts. Now that I’m 49, I’m in such a rut with energy and wanting to work out. Ordering one today. Thanks.
Cellerciser has a patented spring design by Dave Hall. Please note that it is superior for your lymphatic system contrary to what was stated on this video. He is the expert in rebounding for years. She is right on most everything except for that statement. I love my Cellerciser which is one of the best medical grade rebounders on the market.
2 months ago I entered into rebounding. Throughout researching, it was suggested to look on FB market. I found a tri-fold Cellerciser barely used for half price. I’ve watched tons of exercise videos on YT, now I do my own routine for 25-30 minutes everyday. I pop in my headphones & watch YT or TV. I also set my Apple Watch to “Dance” to record my exercise/caleries & heart beat. It’s unbelievable to see my HR up to 148bpm and I can still talk & I’m not sweating. ❤
Your enthusiasm is inspiring and contagious! I have had one rebounder for more than 20 years BUT haven’t used it as much as I should. Starting again tomorrow and you can take the credit for that 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼🤗🙏🏼
I've wanted to purchase one of these for a few years. You've given me the push I need. It sounds like what I need to break the plateau I'm on. Thanks for the thorough and positive review.
I have a BCAN 38inch Rebounder and it isn't noisy at all. I enjoy and feel safer using a spring style Rebounder and I agree with creator of this video that everyone should have a Rebounder.
I love rebounding and have been doing it for years! I know lots of people are kind of "down" on the metal spring bouncers but the issue is the length of the springs. The longer the springs, the softer the bounce. Look for at least 4" springs. They're hard to find on rebounders these days but make a huge difference. I had a rebounder with longer springs for years and wore out the mat to the point where it was unsafe. I LOVE that rebounder and have been so bummed that I can't find a decent mat replacement. Whatever kind you get, look for a soft bounce. A soft bounce is a deeper bounce with more health benefits and it's also easier on your joints. Keep bouncing!
I found a Spring Free Trampoline. It's 4 x 5 and it's so awesome! I don't think they make them anymore but I am not afraid of falling. I watch Michelle Briehler's rebounding videos on RUclips. Rebounding is the best form of exercise.
My son has a big trampoline in his yard and so I would go on it with my grandkids. Since I heard all the health benefits about the rebounder I did my search on them and I actually have the same one you mentioned. I have been using it for a month now I love it. ❤️
You’ve inspired me to give this a try and I ordered one right away. I’m like you who hates everything to do with exercising, so hope this will make it fun and inspire me to move more.
Thank you! I’ve been hearing great things about rebounding since reading Fit for Life in the early 90’s. You are the one who finally made me go for it. It arrives Sunday and I very much look forward to it!
I bought a bouncer because of the book Fit for Life! I used it for probably 3 days. I just ran out to my garage and tried it out. Still in good shape. I am totally going to try this again!
I seriously have a rebounder sitting in my basement that I haven't used since I bought it a year ago! 😂 Shea, you inspired and motivated me to start rebounding!
I’m 53 years old and I’ve been rebounding for 25 years. There is something to be said for it keeping you young. Your lymphatic system is your sewer system and if you don’t keep it cleaned out, you’ll get it all stagnated and welcome disease. You should also follow Ashley Black. She has tools to help with fascia stagnation. These two modalities will keep you young.
Can’t wait to try this. Ordered! I dropped from 164 pds in Jan to 146 pds now simply with diet modification (significantly decreased my sugar and refined carb intake) looking for new fun ways to workout and this seems awesome along with the lymphatic benefits. Thanks !
Just ordered one! Thanks for this video! I was always thin until menopause and now I feel like my body is out of control!! I’m excited to try this. I appreciate you and the videos you post. I especially love your honesty.
I bought one a few months ago and need to put it together. I'm in it for the bone density and hopefully to burn off some menopausal weight. I opted for the bar just for balance and peace of mind....crossing my fingers I will enjoy it as much as you did. Need to get into a groove and start feeling a little better. For those of you youngins, menopause isn't the most fun part of life. Enjoy your youth and do your best to ease into meno with as much grace as you can. Surround yourself with positive and happy people.
Aww love your energy and thorough review! 🙌 So glad you’re enjoying the BCAN rebounder-thanks for the shoutout! Sounds like you're making some serious gains with it. Keep bouncing and flushing out that lymphatic system!
I just ordered this rebounder. I'm so excited to try this. I'm in menopause and this is going to be a good tool to help me fight the unfortunate things that happen to us in this stage of life. Thank you for making this video.
@Kerry, you have probably also heard all of the experts talking about how us older women need to be doing heavy lifting in order to build and maintain muscle. Well, I was working my way up to that and ended up injuring myself! I have recently discovered “overcoming isometrics,” which also stimulates the nervous system like heavy lifting does in order to build muscle! But, it’s much much safer! Just thought I’d share! 😊
@@kerrystewart8594 You’re welcome!! I’m just getting into it myself. I got so discouraged when I injured myself with light weights as I was working my way up. OI seems like it may be a better option for us older ladies! It’s weird to think of myself as “older.” 🤪 Time flies! Haha! Best of luck to you! 💕
Few years back my son bought me a rebounder and I just love it but i used it onky jn the winters when I couldn't go out for my walks. Now I'll try doing it everyday. Thanks. I'll be 71 soon.

I had the same experience!
Oh wow! So good to know! Just started rebounding and am so curious to see if my next mammogram shows a difference in breast density!
I've only ever had one mammogram, if I wanted a less risky test I'd get a thermogram (sic?) Thermography?
I swear by this. I have been cancer free for over a year now and this has been a non negotiable. So, so good!

I started in February with 5 minutes and honestly had to grit my teeth to get through it. I’ve done Pilates for years but resisted doing cardio bc I’m a former smoker (denial/lie I told myself!). I worked up to 15 minutes not really enjoying it. I learned about mindset more recently and started saying the opposite of my thoughts:
“I love cardio.
Tha'ts amazing!!!!!
Thank you for this awesome advice.

Thank you so so much

So it will flatten my belly pooch ?!?

Which benefits did you notice? I’m impressed by how many years you’ve done it!

You haven't been sick for a long time. Is it due to rebounding
Can you rebound with osteoporosis and a bit of knee arthritis..?
What are the benefits of the different ones pls ? 😊
Really appreciate this comment as was interested to try this with chronic fatigue 🙏
Wow! Thanks!
@@bluehibiscus502you can even receive a benefit by sitting on the side of the trampoline while someone bounces for you! Good luck!

I was having trouble deciding which RUclips routine to use consistently, so I picked 5 songs and just move to those.
why did you had heart issues when you were rebounding for so many years!

@@KiwiBee21
I don’t disagree with that, but I do think a higher G force increases benefits. Thank you for sharing. :)
Oh good I have the metal one
In my opinion the Cellerciser is the top of the line in rebounder. The NASA study is based on the way it's built and the material of the center pad. I've had other rebounders and the only one that tries to come close to the Cellerciser is the Maximus XL. If you can afford it...Cellerciser; if you can't afford it....save up for it😅

Which one did you get?
You’ve inspired me !!
❤
On US Amazon the equivalent I got is the KOKSRY 50" with bar called "Rebounder Trampoline for Adults - 40/50" Foldable Mini Exercise Trampoline". Rated for 450 pounds. I have the space to keep it set up all the time, and wouldn't store it away every day, perhaps if you want it to be a little more easy to deal with go for something made with the rubber straps instead of springs, or the smaller size. The 50" is nice to do proper star jumps on though :)
Thank you for your recommendation. We are similar in situation and you’ve convinced me to give it a try. ❤

@@amyt9375 Thanks for the tip!
Thanks for the encouragement I needed :)
Second edit: 😂 it arrived today!!
2 hrs? Omg, I've spent that amount of time on researching products before. Trying not to go there. Lol Which one did you get?
@divakim206 I bought the Costway rebounder with arm bands and removable handle. It has great reviews, well priced and excellent features. Hopefully it'll arrive this week.
@@graftedingrace6594 thank you for replying. I'm going to look into that one.😊
Yep, Barbara has inspired me to order one too.... It should arrive this week. The health benefits sound incredible for such a simple activity.

@Denise, you will LOVE it!!! Start with the health bounce and work your way up. I bounce instead is a great channel with beginner videos.

Soooo, what's the update? Are you both enjoying the rebounder? I am 69 and have been using mine for about five years!! I love it! 🎉
Happy to see a video on the rebounder. I bought one about 20 years ago. Would never be without it… you know what is the most fun? Dancing! Love it!

Around. 😂
Excellent explanation! I got my 2 months ago and I can really see the difference in my legs with less cellulite 👍🏼
Awesome!!!
Yes! AWESOME!
Yay
Did you have cellulite on the front of your legs too?
How long and how often do you use it?

@@indianmonsoon1 I took about a year and was controlled by DEXAScan. The improvement was 75 %!
BELLICON.. so much easier on knees
Did it help fix your plantar fasciitis?
Thankyou❤
I keep a chair beside it, in case. Doing everything is a risk, like my mom used to say "if you're afraid of getting hurt you'd better stay in your rocking chair (which we never had), which could collapse".
@@hoboonwheels9289 I'm not sure what point you're trying to make.

Exactly!! I love your mom’s quote!! 😂 I will add though that I do have things to grab onto around my rebounders-it’s rare, but I’ve had to grab a few times over the years. 😬
Life changing. Just over a year from getting mine and I still enjoy using it every single day.
Life changing..? How is that..?
Thanks!😊
I have one of these sitting in my livingroom, haven't been good about using it lately but this has inspired me to get back to bouncing! 🙂

I have the Cellerciser and absolutely love it!! I recommend it to everyone. David Hall has excellent videos for anyone interested.
I’ve had mine for decades! It still works great.
I have a cellerciser too, used a leaps and rebounds for years and the difference is night and day in the results I am getting!
Better to get one and upgrade when you can.

Hello! Michelle Briehler has SO many great rebounding videos! I love my rebounder also! Thanks for the video and sharing your routine.
I just started about a month ago and already I’ve noticed my balanced has improved so much! I’m looking forward to many other benefits.
