Joe no...Jon Stewart definitely doesn't like him. Spoken about it himself, apparently Hugh was an ar$e behind the scenes and upset some of his staff and Jon wouldn't ever have him back on the show.

@Kaitlyn Foster ... so the guy who's spent most of his overlong career in and out of rehab, only emerging to treat us all to some outrageous, less than entertaining stunts and spells of bad behaviour in between stints, then overcompensating as well as being overcompensated for it as an actor, doesn't like the other one who's also just self-involved enough to be a bit of a bastard, but just self-deprecating or just smart enough not to come across as as much of an annoying douchebag, or more bearable to be around than some daft yank? SHOCKER. What a lot of warmth, and BS.

Hugh Grant has a great sense of humor! Sad to say but no one I know personally can make me laugh like he can. His kind of sense of humor is my favorite.
Even he admits he can be an ah sometimes. I get the feeling his first impression is very hot and miss and sets the tone for how co-stars see him

Have often thought that I would really enjoy meeting Hugh Grant! Interesting that the "stars" that he feels he is ,quite different from, are the stars that I would feel quite different from also! However, if I were fortunate enough to meet him could not keep talking to him long as I think everything he says is quite funny and I might die from laughing!

I've noticed Downey seems to get a bit guarded around very British/English actors. I reckon he likes to think of himself as one so gets defensive when he meets a real one ha.

I shouldn't be too surprised to hear that Robert Downey Jr, according to Hugh, hated him! Although I always liked RDJ, and even had a crush on him after first seeing him in Less Than Zero years ago, he does seem very 'Hollywood' to me and he comes across as being quite egotistical, so maybe being around an actor like Hugh who has had much more enduring success than he has made him feel 'threatened'. Also, he's fairly short so maybe is insecure about that and has a bit of the 'Little Hitler' syndrome, and he's apparently an Aries and they can be very egotistical, selfish, rude and intolerant! This is apparently a quote of his about how he felt about Hugh Grant when they did Restoration together: "I just thought [Hugh Grant] was a dick, that's all. And I still do. You know, and that could be something that has to do with me, or it could just be that not everyone in this industry is someone I'd care to hang out with." As for Hugh being asked how he got on with Drew Barrymore, how funny that he had to ask the interviewer what the name of the film was that he did with her because he couldn't remember!
RDJ may have mellowed/matured since then, film was shot in 1994.
