Hugh Grant is so adorable. I love his sweet and humorous sense of humor. One of my favs.
"humorous sense of humor"
Hugh Grant is still a cheeky, posh gentleman!
Love listening to him talk!!!
Hugh is a nice guy. He seems at ease here bantering with the host. Nice to see that instead of tense and ugly questions. This was relaxed and refreshing.
I rate Hugh's performance in English Scandal as one of his very best alongside Music and Lyrics and Cloud Atlas in which he was truly superb. He lives next door to a mate of mine and when I go to my mate's place I was always hoping to bump into Hugh to have a little chat. It hasn't happened so far.
is ur friend a millionaire or somethin??
Yes.@@reviewmaplin6387
+borjastick im not however my father is
In case you will see him please tell him I am an avid fan!
Honestly - Paddington 2 is one of his best ever performances. Impeccable comic timing
I love it that his friends since 1982 still get together for a "bundle" to watch the big game.
"Show business for the ugly" and all the other things he says, he is charming
“Politics is show-biz for the uglies”! :-D
Starting in the 70's no truer axiom has been said. We have reached the apex today.
Mr Grant could change that!! There's a vacancy as leader of Conservative Party, aka PM of the UK, in 2019, would be a pleasant change of scenery for the Brits....
not original
Sip!! Thats why all the Jefferson s and Lincoln are all extra gorgeous but they found they do it better at keeping it real!! Je
And LOL we don’t have any problems with our msm “news”
90% of US media owned by 6 tax-dodging corporations.
I always think Seth looks a little like Ben Stiller
Root yes, they could play brothers, too. Or at least cousins.
Haha 😂 yes
Seth looks like Ben Stiller and Hugh Grant yet Hugh Grant doesn’t look like Ben Stiller. Lol
I thought he was but I'm from the uk 🤣 🇬🇧
Decades of gorgeous, adorable, and hysterically charming...LOVE Hugh Grant..
4:46, he calls politicians "freaks, weirdos, show business for the ugly" and this Guinness I'm sipping almost comes out my nose.
Sir Hugh out here making grown men spill malt beverages with his deadpan humor again.
But that is a quip that has been around for DECADES. Politics is show biz for the ugly.
That's like being given credit for the alphabet.
AND he really needs a shirt a size OR TWO bigger
"Sipping Guinness" 😮 As an Irish woman I can't imagine Guinness ever being sipped. You gotta split the G in the first sip! 😂👍☘️
He ages like a fine wine ..... and here is me ....aging like a mug of milk in the Sun ....
Yvonne NippsOnRibbs .. We all age differently😊✌.
Sahiry Gnobehi just not fair 😭 😉
Well said, Yvonne. I'm the mug of milk that was already off BEFORE it was put in the Sun, and has now become an alien. Mr. Grant, however, is most definitely a fine vintage, from a gene pool that just gets more dashing and handsome with time. One small note, however...what is the dealeeo with his shirt? It looks like he spilled something on his own shirt and had to borrow one from a staffer. Is it just me, or does that shirt not look like it doesn't fit properly? . Very un-Hugh like. Still...very easy on the eyes.
He's got staff :D
Yvonne NippsOnRibbs ...we’ll also age like fine wine😁😁
I didn't expect to be reminded about Germany in the world cup. I broke out in tears again
So did I, but they were tears of joy.
What ever country you are from. I'm gonna dance with joy when they are out
I was legitimately laughing when Germany lost, it was hilarious
Greetings from Argentina. We probably deserved to be out more than you but we played better in the last game. Until next World Cup, I guess.
Lukas Beck 🤣🤣Trigger warning.
I love Seth so much just because he calls football as "Football" and not Soccer .
Soccer sounds like really really negative curse word .
president camacho this is hilarious . Sport played with feet should be called handball , one played by hands "Football" .
Lost in translation Volleyball .
I hate this argument with every fiber of my being. It's old and tired and just plain idiotic. The US (and not even just the US) has a different word for a sport....a sport. A sport that will be played the exact same way no matter what you call it and whose difference in name has absolutely no bearing on anyone's life. Why can't people seem to live with that?? We also have different spelling and words for what we call flashlights, parking lots, elevators, etc. Being a cliche, obnoxious snob who screams "it's football, not soccer!" just shows a complete lack of cultural awareness.
I agree and I’m British
He also aquiesced to calling 'Pig pile' a 'bundle' to accommodate his guest. Fine host there.
Blame the British. It’s their word. It’s short for association football.
The person Thorpe was supposedly involved with was called Scott. I remember the quiz of the day was "What has Thorpe and Captain Kirk got in common?" Answer: "They've both beamed up Scotty".
Hugh and Seth, they look like brothers. :)
camelshit Seth played him on SNL....
camelshit Seth looks like Hugh’s goody little brother.
And so is Ben Stiller a little look alike
its time my dear, for annual eye exam.
Alex Moffat from SNL could be their younger brother! Moffat does an amazing Hugh Grant impression.
HUGH GRANT is quite simply, one of THE MOST CHARMING, ADORABLE GUYS on the planet! He is IRRESISTIBLE!!
love his crazy honesty about himself and others ... we not all perfect ...
the "two phones" line was dope, the audience didn't get it thought lol
Hugh Grant legendary smile
This was a challenging role and Hugh Grant played it brilliantly.
Because he’s a very similar character
I thought A Very English Scandal was the best UK produced drama I had seen this year until I saw The Bodyguard with Richard Madden and Keeley Hawes. Excellent performances from Hugh Grant and Ben Whishaw though. It will be an interesting battle come awards time.
Tony Morris you're right, the bodyguard was soooooo good!
yes The Bodyguard was great, but the best is Line of Duty.
A Very English Scandal is more a dark comedy, while Bodyguard was more a thriller.
"He showed initiative, he brought the knife." Thank god Fulham is back in the EPL
Love Hugh, he's always value for money when being interviewed 👍😁
What an enjoyable interview. Well done!
This programme is fantastic, Hugh Grants best performance so far
It seems Mr Grant is so much more comfortable in his own skin these days and it's very sexy to hear him speaking about important issues. Perhaps he will be actual PM one day, not just pretend to be one in a movie :-)
PM...seriously, what planet do you live on!
Yeap!! But the movies i reqlly like of hid are the ones at his begginngs sweet romantic and extra funny!! We want more !! Mr. Grant s managers please
It´s called "getting older"....
I just LOVE Seth. I think he should get an Award from the American Psychiatric Assn. for helping to save the collective sanity of all rational, sane Citizens during the dark days of "alternative facts", ....AND ...you gotta have some serious kahoonas to pull out your bad hair photos, just to get a laugh. Seth is just such a sweetie - between the telling of baby #2's delivery in the Condo foyer ( bringing us all to tears) to his too-cute giggle, he is just the real deal.. Actually, the set is currently occupied by two of the hottest guys in the business. 👍😊
There was a comment 2 days ago on Colbert show that he/she wanted Hugh to visit Seth because they resembled each other. Hope you are happy now that your wish is granted. Lol
N Naim omg so glad i found this comment 😂 ive been catching up on colbert this past few days and i just saw hughs interview there today i think and i totally saw that comment and now i see this interview! Awesome haha! I too hope the OP is happy haha
”granted” (:
Listening to Hugh talk is the best way to start the NY ..... !
you know you’re good and funny when Hugh Grant laughs.
Until I saw A Very English Scandal I dismissed Hugh Grant as a one trick pony. In this film he shows what a good actor he is.
Watch him in Maurice. Its his first ever lead role. Beautiful film and brilliantly acted by Grant and James Wilby. You watch it once and it will never leave you.
He great in The Gentlemen too! Really interesting role 😄
@@rumblefish9 yes! I think that was the first film I saw him in.
Playing the baddie suits him! Like in Paddington
I agree 👍💯
I just love Hugh
His Beautiful English Accent is Adorable... ❤❤🇬🇧
He's a good actor and legend. Showing his true age.
How dry is that audience, that telephone joke went under appreciated😩
Yes, I thought I'd misheard it because nobody laughed but me. Perhaps it's a younger audience and they don't all know what old phones looked like:-D
A fantastic series, also because Hugh Grant is so great as Thorpe. Wow.
Two lovely, funny human beings.
"Politics is like show business for the ugly" Classic!
High Grant is a real hero exposing Murdoch by wiring himself up and went undercover all on his own.
Well said 👍
My respect for this man went up 1000% after that and his work with Hacked Off.
I wish Seth had talked more about A Very English Scandal
me too, such a great show
Hugh is awesome 👏🏻 ... a cheeky bugger . I like him 😂
This man always has been so adorable!!! And a very english scandal is freaking amazing. Love Hugh Grant so much 💜
OMG Seth with the Hugh Grant haircut is AMAZING
Hugh is better looking n sexier than twenty years ago
Bilinda Law-Morley 8)
It's unfair how some men improve with age.
No he's not, go and re-watch his earlier films to remind yourself of how very handsome he was, now he looks like he is, a middle-aged man. Elizabeth Hurley on the other hand has definitely improved with age.
Very handsome and positiv Hugh👍
I know! And ripped!
Great interview & Seth is so cute thinking he resembles Hugh ... lol
Unfortunately Hugh's description of politics & politicians is where we are now in 2020 !!
Hugh looks like an older Seth when looking at the camera.
Politicians.... "... not paid very much...". Hhm, well UK Members of Parliament start on around £85,000 + expenses. Add on a significant chunk to that if you're a Minister. Have to say..... £85,000 a year sounds quite good to me.
I love the way he tapped (was it the table or his lap) with enthusiasm :)
Seth M. is very good at interviewing. A pleasant surprise.
I don't understand what's going on but im just smiling here... oh hugh grant 🤣😅
It is a shame that English team was very close to making it this year. I supported them although I am not English. I honestly didn't expect them to win over France but making it to the finale would have been great enough.
Hugh is lovely
That hairstyle looks great on Hugh Grant's face, but that's Hugh Grant's face.
Love love Grant
Hugh is a blinky legend
hugh is just sooo..
i can't even..
❤❤❤
3:17 Seth tries to figure out what Grant said and malfunctions haha a rare slip up from a seasoned pro
Did he say "we look like two telephones"?
Those of us who remember rotary phones got it. Seth definitely falls in that age bracket. And it was a hilarious reference.
I think Hugh meant two telephone booths. Booths in England are/or were, red. There are referred to as red phone boxes. I think he said it , because Seth was wearing a red jacket. I just don't know why Hugh would say it about himself, since he was wearing a tux.
deedee green I think he did mean how their bangs in the pictures hang on the sides of their foreheads which make them look like (old school) telephones. ☎️
Haa I can't believe he didn't mention that he did an impression of him in his SNL audition!
Jeremy Thorpe. His finest hour.
This is such a British interviews lol
Audience members younger than 30 not getting the telephones joke at all.
Yes :( what does it mean?
Google old telephone images 😂
Yes tbh I was bewildered by that joke
We really did believe it was coming home. Man what a summer.
Hugh had a good last laugh when heard the American's don't have the phone hack scandal ,,,,,, hehehe
Politics : "Showbiz for the ugly" LOL
DILF alert😄😄
i dont know why, but i have always loved him. he is so charming to me
Katrine Troelsen .. With all he's been through. Yeah he is.
Both of them -- those side-by-side pics were drool-worthy. And Grant has been crush-worthy ever since I saw him in "Maurice." Too bad his character in that movie didn't get to go all the way with the James Willoughby character.
Nothing is less attractive than a man who cannot cherish Elizabeth Hurley imho
I love the hair... even ever since Four Weddings and a Funeral I have been a fan of his hair...
Gorgeous positively gorgeous.
I watched all three episodes today, it was so funny.
Jesus they do look like eachother.
showbiz for the ugly took me outtt 😂
the second I click the video, I start waiting for Seth to do his Hugh grant impression. If I didn't, I will be gently quietly mad at Seth.
Hugh ❤️
3:02 aww that's adorable lol
Poor Seth looks like Hugh Grant's stand in in those shots.
And Hugh Famous boom was first and he is british, but you know How Americans are...We are first and so the best...I guess they love Seth more cause he is well spoken and Grant cause an Actor
Still haven't won it I finally got around to watching A Very English Scandal, Hugh Grant gets better as he gets older. However, Hugh got one thing wrong, politicians are very well paid, especially MPs.
1:134 England could have taken full advantage of Germany's early exit, plus the Netherlands' and Italy's total absence and Spain, Portugal, Brazil and Argentina being knocked out to go on and win the trophy. Instead, they gave an absolutely pathetic performance losing the semi-final to Croatia (Croatia!). Then they even lost the 3rd place play-off. In the final, France showed everybody how easy it was to beat Croatia.
He always makes me laugh 😂
England lost that match but we have gone on to reach the semi-finals, we haven't been that far since 1990
Show business for the ugly; so is trial law. Trust me
I’m a lawyer.
Younger Hugh I didn't really care for... well except in Maurice and Bridget Jones's, But I much like this Hugh 😍 Hugh is brilliant in A Very English Scandal. Him and Ben Wishaw were both brilliant. Brilliant interview by Seth and he and his team did their research well.
i adamantly refuse to believe anyone who tells me that these two aren't distantly related
Still so charming! Love Seth but he’s no Hugh!
Dinkydo Dinky 😄😄 the shade of it all.
man, i wish i could age like this guy. truly handsome.
I love how weirdly interesting some U.K. television shows are. I was completely fascinated by this series and I normally don't find it easy to relate to or be interested these types of relationships. I felt so bad for Norman. I just wanted to hug him and get him his f***king NATIONAL INSURANCE CARD! That's all he wanted damn you!😂😂😂
He could have just applied for another one. In those days insurance cards only lasted about a year anyway. You filled them with stamps and sent them into the National Insurance Office to be put on your NI record. He would have lost a year's worth of stamps at most. Even if he didn't know his national insurance number, he could have requested it again if he sent in his personal details. He could even have paid voluntary contributions for that period or complained to a NI office who would have sent an NI inspector to his employer to investigate. It's like he was weirdly fixated over it, at the same time as being very impractical. Perhaps there was some other aspect that bothered him about it, but I've never seen an explanation.
@@heliotropezzz333 he was mentally ill, I think this was just a fixation
Do people in the US really call it a pig pile? We call it a doggy pile where I live
We call it as 'Hamburger' in S.Korea
So Clive is here
Seth Meyers looks more like Gareth Southgate.
Louise Lombard once thought I was a dead ringer for Hugh when she sat next to me in Beaton’s in Richmond.
@dellwright1407 a life of missed opportunities
It sounds almost like "I Love You To Death"
clearly he's more attractive off screen but a nice all round sort of person
Love all about a boy.My son Desmond loved it.
hugh is seth in the future
except hugh is probably the sexiest man alive and seth is average looking
Great video!
Hugh, always classy.
Always?
NEVER
Hugh Grant is funny as hell. If you don't get it you're thick.
Hugh looks like Seth’s older brother
Hugh is not quite correct in terming the Thorpe trial as the biggest British political scandal. That would be the Profumo affair which brought about the resignation of Profumo from the ministry, the subsequent resignation of the Prime Minister and the election defeat of the conservative government.
An Italian would have known how to carry out a hit.
Thorpe just asked a friend who got an acquaintance to do it. He'd never done one before and the gun jammed after he shot the dog.
thyere not paid poorly. those MPs are well paid. thats the reason theyre going for it. Anyway its mostly the upper classes....they have money ....they want prestige and power
Hugh is the more handsome version of Seth.
I'd love to be in a bundle next to this guy.
