Dwayne Johnson, Emily Blunt Respond To Rebecca Ferguson's 'Idiot' Co-Star Claim

- After Rebecca Ferguson cryptically discusses an "idiot" of a former "Number 1 on the call sheet" co-star, Graeme O'Neil takes a look at how Dwayne Johnson and Emily Blunt removed themselves from the suspect list.
What's hilarious is how many actors hear the word "idiot" and assume it must be them.
Thats the only valid point here hahaha - very true :)
Exactly!!! 🤣🏆
😂😂😂
The person she’s referring to is likely thinking, “how dare that idiot call me an idiot!”
When the shoe fits!!! lol
It can't be Jake Gyllenhall because she said she walked off set, crying. 'Life' was filmed entirely in space so it can't be that.
Arguably it could have been Ryan Reynolds, some of his costars have called him out.
🤣
I choked on my soda. God bless, that was hilarious! 😂
Lmao. I hope you're joking.
😂😂😂
Never before, in the history of the entire world, has anyone more OBVIOUSLY been Hugh Grant. It's Hugh Grant.
Makes sense because have you seen that Graham Norton clip with him and Meryl Streep? Very telling...
If so, what movie would this have been? If it was Florence Foster Jenkins, Hugh Grant wouldn't have been no.1 on the call sheet

@@khronoskay2749 No, I haven't worked on any film sets, but I've worked on plenty of photo shoots and the number of the models doesn't change throughout the shoot. I assumed it would be similar with movies. But please, oh wise one, bestow your infinite knowledge and tell me how it was OBVIOUSLY Hugh Grant!
It was Hugh Grant. There's a long list of names of people who can't stand to work with him (Jon Stewart, Julianne Moore, Drew Barrymore, Rachel Weisz), and he even had a repeat of the same incident on another film in 2021 where, by his own admission, he "lost his temper" with a woman in his eyeline and exploded at her without realizing she was just a child actor's chaperone. He's quick to apologize when he's called out, yet keeps doing it which makes the apologies worthless.
He's also thrown objects at journalists and stated that he hopes their children "get cancer", make of that what you will.
Agrega a esa lista a Sandra Bullock
I mean, he's not wrong, you think you hate journalists enough, but you don't
Hugh Grant is the Internet’s main suspect. He’s admitted himself women probably don’t like him and he’s a perfectionist on set.
If he was a perfectionist he’d display perfect on-set behaviour - leading by example of best practices - one of which is acknowledging film-making is a team sport. Hugh is flawed. If your reputation is one of petulant, self-centred, indulgent, flippant and ungrateful interactions with only female cast members - like he does, that’s just plain OLD sexism. Yelling at, ostracizing, and otherwise throwing a limp-dick shit fit isn’t ‘to of call sheet’ behaviour, it’s desperation. I hope whoever did this to her never gets the validation they are so desperate for - and continues to fade of into mediocrity. What a loser. She is such a talented actor - to think she had to parent this guy and a the director and the producers through this just speaks to how female creatives deserve WAY MORE MONEY!
a perfectionist... lol how many assholes have labelled THEMSELVES perfectionists...
Perfectionist maybe, good actor, no no no.
@@PeachesandCream225 Huh? I remember him saying it, he admitted he was an asshole at work, and said something along the lines of saying it wasn't an admirable trait and he only worked so hard because he wasn't that talented. He didn't label himself as anything positive. He's obviously annoying to work with, but people will do better to not go on a witch hunt and then just narrow in on someone that freely admits he's had issues. LeBouf and Franco were just fun loving normal guys until they turned out to be awful people.

My kids and I met The Rock and Dany Garcia at an XFL vendor event. We were all standing in the dugout of Choctaw Stadium (baseball stadium converted to football for the XFL, now UFL).
As Dany started to address the small crowd of about 50 people, my daughter and I were standing near the top of the dugout near her, and Dwayne walked up to us. I shook his hand and said, ‘Hello Mr. Johnson’. He shook my hand but largely ignored me and went right up to my daughter, who was 9 at the time and a massive Rock fan.
Dany started to speak, and The Rock spoke directly to my daughter in a hushed tone as to not speak over Dany, and said to my daughter, “I have three daughters.” He then listed all their ages and what they liked to do for fun and the sports they played. Then he said, “And they’re all beautiful just like you.”
It was a cool moment that my daughter won’t ever forget.

It's so true I worked on a film where the lead actress and actor were literal nightmares. It was so toxic and such a cancer that seeped into all the departments. The director allowed this to occur rather than calling it out.
**Rebecca herself was rude and imo snobbish towards a swedish journalist last year, when she questioned the reporter of her skills in english, because Rebecca refused to talk swedish. Rebecca apologized to the journalist afterwards. But its shows that she is not much better herself. Rebecca is born in Sweden and grew up there. Her mother is british, but Rebecca didnt move abroad until she was an adult. Its more or less a deathsin if you pretend that you dont remember your own language when you become famous if you are from Sweden. Everybody laughed at Dolph Lundgren when he as a 21 year old suddenly "forgot" his swedish. People made jokes about Rebecca too. Although the actor she refered to wasnt nice, i actually think she needs to learn how to be humble.. **

I'm surprised nobody in the crew on set have leaked it yet.

Oh this boy from her very first soap opera, Kim, he’s a true gentleman. I bumped into him once and he, despite not knowing me, tried to fend off birds eating my food when I turned away. He seemed extremely caring and gentlemanly. The kindest person.
She had done Swedish films in 2008 and 2010 before becoming recognized in a big studio film with all big name actors 2014 and later. She stated later in the same interview talking about the difference in that environment where the director had no control vs safer big studio environment which she has been running with since working with hollywood. I think it would be hard keeping a big name scandal like that a secret if the whole cast and crew witnessed it.
It's a terrible game to speculate, and definitely Hugh Grant (a name mentioned many times below) can be extremely crotchety by all accounts, but a film with MERYL STREEP and Hugh Grant would surely have Rebecca as THIRD on the call sheet, not second!
Apparently the call sheet is per scene. Meryl was not in the scene.
I still don't like her. Great actress but what she said about Dune was wrong, stupid, and just disgusting.

Bringing someone to tears is a little more than not getting along. Seems like it crossed the line into abuse. It is everybody’s duty to take note and ‘care about this’, otherwise nothing changes and the bully continues to hurt people.

Admittedly, ego wrangling is common in the acting profession. There are many situations like this in many professions, which is likely why managers are taught how to diffuse and handle those situations. Covid proved that tv/film actors are arguably the most non-essential workers of the non-essential workers. Gas station attendees, food service people, delivery people, mail men and garbage men proved their worth to society. Tv/film actors? They didn't win any points when the world stalled.
100% not even a question, it's Hugh Grant. The most obvious candidate of all time, fits the bill to a tee. They've done a movie together where they had enough scenes together for Rebecca to not just suck it up for a quick scene and actually significantly benefit mentally from putting her foot down and establishing how they're going to work together moving forward. Hugh Grant is a famous asshole with many even self-admitted instances of making fellow crew and castmates cry by exploding at them. And also he would absolutely be number 1 on that film's call sheet. AND they've only really acted together once.
And if you go down her filmography, no one else really fits the bill, either being not famous enough or just being obviously too nice to treat Rebecca like that.

I don't like Meryl Streep much as an actress, but that being said, literally no one would've gotten with talking to Meryl like that without being blackballed. The death of Rebecca's character in Dead Reckoning made me very sad.
It's either Hugh Grant in Florence Foster Jenkins or maybe Ewan McGregor from Doctor Sleep. Both have a reputation for being grumpy or rather cruel and probably have the insecurities about getting the scenes out. Of the two, I think Hugh Grant is more likely to openly chastise Rebecca, and he worked with her 3 years before Ewan on Doctor Sleep, where she was apparently in her 'boss girl' era. So I think she took her lessons from Hugh and applied them there-on-out.
It was Timothy.

I’m pretty sure Hugh Grant also has a history of making costars cry, but he wouldn’t have been number 1 on a call sheet and additionally, he’s been an actor for years and was working with Streep. Why did she bring this up? I'm just wondering what the interviewer asked to bring the conversation to this point.
The interviewer asked if there was a moment/thing she was truly proud of in her acting career. This was her answer; as opposed to some sort of on-screen fame, it was the moment she decided to stand up for herself 😊
There's a discussion right now about blacklisting Nic Pizzolato (creator of True Detective) from Hollywood entirely , because he criticized the women who took the fame and name of his show and used it to butcher the series entirely and make it a show about making men look incompetent (In the very first episode there not one but two occasions of sexual assault by women on men). Yet when this woman calls her co-star an idiot she is celebrated as a hero.
Sounds like the person was an idiot. Is she expected to pretend otherwise because they have a penis?

What I find disturbing and frankly unnecessary is going public with the incident. She took a big step in her personal growth and that should be applauded but to talk about it in an interview I find to be in very poor taste. She should take her victories but have enough self confidence to enjoy them quietly
I agree with you Graeme she should have revealed the person because now everyone is a culprit. Reminds of the Prince Harry and Meghan incident regarding their baby's skin colour. I think if you not going to reveal the person identity you shouldn't bother telling the story.

Awful people don't deserve to be protected but if you don't feel like you want to publicly out them and stand by your accusations then best not to voice it at all. I love Rebecca, I think she's awesome but it's not wise to half tell a story... either do it 100% or don't.
Not fair at all for those 5-7 actors who can be blamed by the media, but are actually innocent. Either name the abusive person who is responsible, or just not say anything at all. In my experience with dealing with bad people, they won’t change unless you call them out directly. By putting them in a group of people who are not responsible, you are only maligning innocent people and nothing is accomplished
