Very happy with the light bar, and this video is greatly appreciated. I would like to share a few comments regarding the installation. First, why provide 20 feet of cabling when the distance from the light bar to the battery is less than six feet? It just makes it difficult to stow all that extra cable. Second, what is the point of the IP68 connector? Why not just use one straight cable from the light bar to the battery? Third, it's much easier if you remove the cover above the radiator. That allows you to reach down and grab the cable, and it also allows you to route it so it's more hidden. Last- my kit did not come with the "t-tap" connecting module shown in the video. The connector supplied in my kit was useless as it was not large enough to fit on the Ford upfitter wire. I made it work with something I had on hand, but I just wanted to let you know. Keep up the great work!
Hey there Rob! Thanks so much for the kind words, support & great feedback! We provide extra length on our harness to give flexibility to those installing their Paladin in differing locations. There are several reasons for the harness not being hardwired to the bar itself, one being that most installations etc are easier without having a full harness connected at all times. Great tip on the top cover and we apologize about missing connector, let us know if we can get you one asap! Thanks again for the support, we look foward to serving you again soon!
Hey there! The tab is no longer needed and breaking it away makes it easier for routing the bolt back through the bumper for the bars mounting hardware. Thank you for your support and for being a part of the F150LEDs family! We look foward to serving you again soon!
Hey Street! Zero rusting issues what so ever. You can add some corrosion prohibitor spray etc around the drill points for further piece of mind if you live in a highly corrosive environment. We hope that helps, thank you for your support, we look foward to serving you soon!
