I am really interested in ordering this light bar but have a question. I have a 2023 Gen 3 Raptor. I don’t see how the light bar would fit “over” those large bolts and hinge/bracket towards the passenger side of the tailgate. Could you please explain how?
Hi Arnold! Our Sentinel LED Tailgate bar will work perfectly on your 23 Raptor! The bar has enough flex designed in it so that you can go right over the bracket you are referring to, which is what we did in the video (or you can remove the bracket). When going over the bracket we recommend using our custom brackets vs the 3M tape. Please let us know how we cna help further, we look forward to serving you soon!
I would like to see closeups of bar going over tailgate bolts…would love to buy if the result looks smooth. Would a thicker 3M heavy duty exterior tape and or flatter bolt heads be the best solution?
@@tomcez Recommend you put some spacers behind the entire bar to make it fit over those bolts. I just encountered the same challenge. The flex they described requires you to have about 2' between the passenger sider clips (on the end) to allow for it to bend over the bolts - not a good plan if you ever hit bumps or use your vehicle like a truck...
I just removed the two bolts and that bracket as I didn't see any other way to cleanly install the light bar with 3M tape. The bracket doesn't appear to be critical, in any case. Will reinstall the bracket when I sell the truck (24 Raptor)
I just installed this. It's an AWESOME light bar. However, I stripped of the screw heads I was going to put on the far right-hand side. However, can I remove that bracket on the far right side, just behind the tailgate? Will that interfere with the tailgate if I remove it?
Hey there! Thank you so much, we are so glad you are impressed and loving your Sentinel Tailgate bar! You can remove the bracket and most people would never know any difference but you would want to be careful of not to exceed the listed weight limits for your particular truck on the tail gate and also use caution not to pull out on the tailgate as it opens. Thanks for your question and for being apart of the F150LEDs family! We look foward to serving you again soon!
Hi there, I recently installed this and I noticed that the startup sequence isn’t working, all the wires are connected to the taillight harness except the brown wire which I’m not sure which harness that connects to. Can you please help?
Hey Brandon, thank you for your support! You will need to connect the brown wire for the start up sequence. You can connect to the running light wire at your trailer harness 7 pin connector (our first suggestion) or the running light wire behind your tailights. If needed, please message our tech team and send them your truck model/year/etc and they can assist with wire color etc. We look forward to serving you further! www.f150leds.com/pages/contact-us
Hey Adam! You can certainly do that and it makes it even easier but some people are hesitant about removing the tailgate. That is why we show here how easy it is to do even with the tailgate still attached. Thanks for your comment and support! We look foward to serving you soon!
Hi there, no they are not. What you see burnt out are cheaply mass produced Ebay/Amazon variants. Our premium Sentinel LED Tailgate Bar will not burn out like that. We look foward to serving you soon!
Hey Jon! We recommend going through the taillight housing and securing all of the wires under the rear bumper, but you have several different paths/options you can choose! Thank you for your support, we look foward to serving you soon!
Hey Leon! The installation of the bar is the same across all truck models, the difference being the wiring colors as you mentioned. Our wire guide tells you which wires to use for your specific model and year. You can reach our support team directly using the link below as well, we look forward to serving you! Thank you for your support! www.f150leds.com/pages/contact-us
Just watched your video. Very informative. I am so new to the modern technology what is BLISS as it refers to the halogen? My last truck was a 2005 so that was not an issue.
Thank you Mike, we are glad you enjoyed it! BLIS is the reference term for "blind spot monitoring system" which is typically utilized as a warning light in your mirror indicating you have a vehicle in close proximity to your side/rear. Thanks for your comment and welcome to the F150LEDs family! We look foward to serving you soon!
Any issues with 2021 LED taillight's turning off? Putco Freedom blade has given me nothing but issues. Id be interested in trying this. Wondering if its their tech or my truck.
Hey Conni! That is common for bars that are mass produced to work for all makes/models of trucks. Ours is designed specifically for your F150 and we have no issues on the 21's that we have 😎. We look foward to serving you soon!

Question, I have a 19 F150, When i am reversing and press on the brakes the tailgate bar tunrs into amber is that correct? It only does this in reverse.
Hey Draco! Please send your trucks details to our support team and they can confirm with you. Generally that does not occur but it depends on how the BCM / bar is reading the signals. Thanks so much for your support, we look foward to serving you! www.f150leds.com/pages/contact-us

How even do the brackets need to be? Measure drill spots from what edge? This is for 22 Lightning XLT…any other caveats?

What year/model did you use for this install?
All wires are different in 2018 F250. So super duty is different. Do you have a video for super duty?
