The Rev. Dr. John S. Spong wrote a wonderful book, in fact he has written numerous books. His first, and maybe the most important book was "Why Christianity Must Change or Die." It was a work that lifted so much guilt off so many shoulders. Perhaps someone should write a book entitled, "Why the UMC Must Change or Die." The UMC will be long gone in 2040 if so many insist upon "their own way," and do not adopt the One Church Plan. This plan allows conferences and local churches to decide whether or not to fully include our LBGTQAI sisters and brothers. No one is forced to do anything that is against their beliefs or conscience. However, those churches that will fully include our LBGTQAI sisters and brothers are now able to do so, without reprisal.

Romans 12:2 King James Version (KJV)
2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
