Three to get out of the house and holding up a little more disciplined to get out of here by myself, and the police were called. The cops initially, but it looks like the third time to get out of work today. So much fun with friends for sure. For real though he's a little bit more reasonable about that one year.
Got it, pretty simple. Now all I need is to have Phil step in and take the stroke for me. Btw, I wish he would talk about what kind of bounce he has on that club.
I was a poor golfer in my earlier years. All I had in the bag was a sixty degree for 10 yrs probably. I can’t play bump and run very well. I learned too hit flop’s on nearly everything, because I had too lol.
All you need to be able to do is execute this shot perfectly and your golden! on the off chance you don’t - you just sent the edge of your wedge into to the back of the ball at 80mph so get ready to yell FORE
You’re a HOF player actually thinking a 20+ player can hit a flattened 60 in the centimeter of space to create backspin. You’re a great player but a real comedian too!
You know, Jeff - that's a great point. Two years ago, I was researching the Callaway Sure-Out wedge, and watching a TON of videos on how to hit it properly. Something dawned on me, and I contacted Callaway directly. To paraphrase, I basically said "if you are marketing a club called the Sure-Out, your target audience is probably the casual golfer... like myself. The videos you showed all were shot on immaculate PGA-type courses, with bent-grass fairways and immaculately trimmed rough areas. You might want to consider shooting a couple at mom-and-pop courses, where the intermediate roughs are 3" deep, and regular grass... including some dandelions and crab-grass patches." Callaway actually responded to me with something other than "thank you for your input". Whomever wrote the response actually said "that's a really good point - we'll take it into consideration." I bought the club, by the way, and have been mildly pleased with how it works.
But Phil did say take the grip AFTER Setting Face and then Stance. If you did that, and then set your Stance back to Square, you would see your Grip is "Weak" and the Face is "Open". *(Just for the Visual confirmation, not intended for playing the Shot.)* 😉

i didn't watch this so i could learn how to do it. i just wanted to watch phil do it. He's amazing.
Just tried this. It’s the furthest I’ve ever hit a sand wedge: 179 yards.
blade master
LMAO
HILARIOUS !!!!..
This comment had my dyiinngg 🤣🤣🤣
I laughed out loud.
Around 15 years ago I read an article by Phil, I think in golf digest about chipping and pitch shots, it was game changer for me.
My favorite golfer to watch just outside the green. Dude has short game engineered to a science and has an arsenal of different shots he's mastered.
Guys a genius... Best short game player ever to grace the sport and my fave golfer of all time... 👌
I would send that last ball flying over the green, in to the trees.
Yup. 160 yard sand wedge
Lmaoooo same here!!
Guess you don't need 6 iron anymore
Phil is.a genius.around the green for sure and his technique and explanation is first rate!!
My favorite of all time! Congrats with that win!
Masterclass
Great master teacher and communicator. Many thanks.
I named you Mr no - nonsense ! You are ,One of the best professional golfer! A Legend !
Philly Mick is a great teacher.
The greatest chipper ever making it look easy. Let’s see if I can do the same. I can’t see anything going wrong.
Don’t do it near a car park🤷♂️
Might stick with the bump and run, less chance of killing someone.
Correct! No need to get this risky unless your earning a living playing! A good chip will be more consistent! Cheers
Chipper or putter is a way to save lives.
great editing. just the important stuff
Good tips. Thanks Phil
He should have said to mark sure that no one is standing on the other side of the green when practising this....
Wise advice if I’m trying to practise that shot as I’m guaranteed to “blade” that shot..lol
🤣🤣 just pure blade when he opens the face of his 64° wedge.
Thanks Phil I’ll stick to my 9i for that B&R
The guy is a wizard!
8 iron with putting stroke works for me.
Who knew as an amateur I am master of the 'indirect' shot!
super cool
Make sure you practice the last shot towards the parking lot with lots of expensive cars in it.

Pretty sure it's low bounce to hit lob on tight lies
Very cool. I will try this later. Fore!
As a lefty myself I seem to "get it " with a left hand instructor

Amazing
Does anyone know how to get it to stop quickly when you are on a downslope?
I broke my wrists going back, and broke a window coming through.
Takes some nuts to make that last shot in a tournament
But what if I’m right handed?
Phil will go on to win fifty champions tour tournaments to add to his outstanding career. I cant wait to see him win another Masters.
This didn’t age well 😂
This comment aged poorly
Don't hold your breath waiting for either of those things to happen...
Easy for you to say, Phil.
When I do this my chip shots usual go farther than my tee shots

I hinge, hold and skull 😂
And finally, make sure you don’t blade the ball and kill somebody. K?
He didn’t mention the leading hand needs to have a very weak grip….
But Phil did say take the grip AFTER Setting Face and then Stance.
If you did that, and then set your Stance back to Square, you would see your Grip is "Weak" and the Face is "Open".

If I entered the ground that far behind the ball, you could bury me in the divot.
I just hit it in the water. Stops immediately.
Tried method 3, broke window. Sorry mom
I mean...if Phil can do it...
If Phil can do it, anyone can with 50 years of tireless, nonstop practice.
So, hitting it fat ain't all that bad afterall.
This guy is like an old wine…you spent fortune, drink it and then realise…was it really worth it or a gimmick….
Phil obviously has no perception of the amateur skill level.
Wdym? Anyone can learn this with practice
@@KillBill2497 exactly lol. People in this comment section are wildly unconfident about their ability to improve lol
I mean if you know how to hit a bunker shot its pretty easy since it’s the same thing
They expect it to work first time, every time with zero practise.
