'It's not like Djokovic has been playing terribly; he just hasn't earned enough points'. This is hilarious. Djokovic hardly played, and when he did, it wasn't good enough...

Lol yeah people being like “he’s not playing” have selective memory. He’s only skipped one tournament he ever intended to play, and it wasn’t for any legit reason like injury or vaccine. Just felt like focusing on clay instead of losing again.

@@harrdeeharr but he did not intend to play many tournaments to begin with. If he played like in previous years, it would have been enough to be no 1, but that wasn’t the case this year.

Collins beat Badosa, Jabeur, Stephens, Mertens, Sakkari and Kasatkina to win this title. Easily the toughest route ever to win the Charleston event. Every single player has either made a Slam SF or been top 3 in the world.

Thiem will probably retire from tennis if he falls out of the top 100. If Sinner wins Monte Carlo does that mean he will only be 15 points from the number 1 ranking?

The closest he can get to Djokovic is 295 points away (If he wins and Djokovic loses in the second round).
Sinner made the semifinals in Monte Carlo last year, so he doesn’t have the chance to gain as many points this time around.
