My father loved to sing Fats Domino songs. At the time I thought he was too old to sing rock and roll; but I sang along with him. He was a great man, and I often voted for him for president (Write in ) instead of those running on the ballot. He's gone now and I miss him greatly; no one could have had a better father.
This was such a great time 50's music and I still remember Fats always being on the charts with so many great songs, love the saxophone and the piano in his music
If it makes anyone feel better, whenever someone tells me bad news about something or other, I almost ALWAYS start singing this. It happens more often than you'd think. I've known this my whole life, and will live forever I'm also only 32
One of those Classic Rock and Roll tunes I used to hear as a teenager. The lyrics are good and the rythm is catchy. A very nice tune to hear and enjoy and to remember of those times. I was nine when it was released.

Well I am 58 years old and when I was a kid my moma had a old kraco 8track tape player and she listened to fats domino Elvis Carl Perkins Jerry Lee Lewis and I fell in love with the pioneers of rock&roll and late 60,s country music so I had a awesome musical upbringing when music was music thanks to my mother and a 8track tape player and an ol werlitzer jukebox that sit in the little tweets diner that sit on top of the little blue ridge mtn town of Newland nc .I am privileged
FAT'S Dominos, music IS NEVER ending story of greatness, it's SOME OF the greatest ever, New Orleans, GAVE us a fantastic MAN OF music.....PS sip IN the AFTERLIFE......
Nice song that was played so frequently when I was a teenager. It was not that new then but since it was a good song I used to hear it frequently. I liked the lyrics which were simple but direct and the voice of the singer backed by talented musicians.
If you ask me Fats doesn't get the credit he deserves in the creation of rock and roll.My list includes Fats, little Richard, Elvis and Chuck Berry. All these men are the architects of rock and roll...
Sister Rosetta Tharpe was the true architect. She came before all of those men. Do a search of her on youtube. Elvis was more an architect in Rockabilly for my money.
George Bailey A large portion of Elvis' hits were straight up stolen from black artists. Hate to ruin his image for you but if you do a little research you'll see that this wasn't as rare as we'd like to think. Elvis' climb was on the backs of quite a few black artists.
Elvis didn’t steal anything. Big Mama Thornton recorded “Hound Dog” in 1953, then in 1956 Elvis done his version. Guess who wrote that song and made money based on every record sold? Two Jews called Jerry Leiber and Mike Stoller. Jailhouse rock? Wrote by the same guys. Elvis copied a style of music, music that no one would have bought if a white guy wasn’t singing it. Many radio stations would not play black musicians and many concert venues would not book black musicians. Blacks should be glad that Elvis introduced black music to white people. Record sales for black artists skyrocketed after Elvis.
What is a shame, is that modern music is awful, I can only imagine being a teenager and listening to this on the radio. proper tunes, under 3 minutes no filler - perfect!
as my great grandma was dying and having dementia, we used to play fats domino for her as she lied in her bed during the day. still remembering all of the words RIP Mamie ❤️

Sprite Cranberry I’m listening. Takes me back to my teenage years. Best thing about good old days is I wasn’t good and I wasn’t old.
Did Fats Domino ever get to the R and R Hall of Fame?
Maureen de Vries: I do not know really but he sure deserved it as he was such a great R and R singer. Regards.
How old are you now sir?
Jorge Mario Rodas hi sorry lol
@@purplegarfield1357 Well I am 74 now. regards and have a good night.
What a great human being. The world would be a heaven with a dozen Dominos.
How the fuck Elvis Presley get credit before fats and Elvis copy from alot of black artists how hell u think he learn how to dance stop it dude
nycholasmommy white people can dance too. Elvis didn't copy anything. Get over it.
These were the good old days........ Age 11 Shining shoes at FT. Bliss TX. This was on all the airwaves..... Good stuff. Thanks Fats
What is a shame, is that modern music is awful, I can only imagine being a teenager and listening to this on the radio. proper tunes, under 3 minutes no filler - perfect!
I feel the same
@Samuel Rent Same here
