Now i'd probably go for a V8, but it all depends on your financial situation. I don't think so, maybe a used one? The twin turbo is stronger, but probably not as reliable. You'll have to check with ripp for smog and carb. I dont' have to worry about the smog check for another 3 to 4 years depending on if they extend the smog check again. By then, i'll be in a new car. I usually don't have the same car for more than 5 years. I'm currently on my 4th year with this car and still loving in though.
Shawn John Thanks for answering my questions. I would like to know you mention you have 3 to 4 years more before smog check. Which means your challenger is 2016 you get not to do smog check for 7 to 8 years when buying a new car here in Cali? You also mention only keep cars for 5 years which car are you thinking getting next also will any dealer accept a modified Supercharger Challenger as a trade in? I’m just curious that’s all.
Anthony Gaona I bought mine at the end of 2016. The typical smog check is 5 years, but there was a recent change to extend the check to 7 years for newer cars. That’s why I’m not so worried. I do not believe a dealer would accept a heavily modified car as mine. I might sell it on my own, or keep it as my second car.
Shawn John Thanks for that info, I’m just curious now that I know your car is Supercharge. My question is do you come across allot of people to race you at the stop light or anywhere knowing your car is supercharge. I’m talking about mainly V8 cars like the Mustang, Camaro, Challenger and if you decided to race them how well did you end up doing.
Where did you get the supercharger work done at? Im looking for performance shops that tune it correctly so my check engine light doesn't come on. I'm in VA but would rather send to guys who do this often. Thanks in advance
I just got a 2018 sxt challenger and i was wondering if I could supercharge it ? Is anyone willing to help with questions I have about what I should add too my car
you should check with ripp for more feedback from the link I gave you. As for myself, i've had the unit for 50k miles already and it's been very good. As long as you stay on top of your car, like a regular car guy you should be good LOL
Nice ride ! My only concern is how well will the engine hold up with the supercharger. I could have bought a hemi six speed challenger for another $5k but opted for a loaded GT AWD and love it. I’m however more into the style than the power but I will say it needs a better exhaust. I just got it today in Green Go and am hooked. Wanted one since 2008.
I went with magnaflow and it gave it a really nice sound. As for the supercharger it’s been with me for 55k thousand miles now. Now sure how much longer, but I’m glad to have it in these crazy gas price times

@@SIDVENOM actually that has never happened before. Most of the car community is very respectful of each other.
Really hope you got the proper tune for the ripp sc. impressive v6 build.
Dokiboki 94 thanks man 👍
What did you change on the motor pistons stuff like that to put on supercharger or u just put it on
Inferno Flamehotnspicey I’m not sure, my mechanic did everything for me.
@@shawnsms29 yeah dang it would be nice to know a lil pinch of info nice car tho
Can you please give more detail about exhaust
Check out my exhaust video. I put the model of the exhaust in the title.
Where did you get the supercharger work done at? Im looking for performance shops that tune it correctly so my check engine light doesn't come on. I'm in VA but would rather send to guys who do this often. Thanks in advance
That’s quite far, I did it in Placentia California. At superior automotive engineering
Nice video, can you drop the link for the Luxe Auto tail light tint??
Jahdal Policard thanks, here you go: www.luxeautoconcepts.net/collections/universal-tint-kits/products/luxe-lightwrap-universal-tint-kit-dark-smoke
@@shawnsms29 Thanks
I just got a 2018 sxt challenger and i was wondering if I could supercharge it ? Is anyone willing to help with questions I have about what I should add too my car
you should check with ripp for more feedback from the link I gave you. As for myself, i've had the unit for 50k miles already and it's been very good. As long as you stay on top of your car, like a regular car guy you should be good LOL
Whats that color called man?? Looks real nice on there
ali sahrai thanks, it’s called pitch black
@@izzy0164 it doesn’t increase MPG, especially if you love to drive it hard lol RIPP claims that but that’s only if you’re riding in cruise all day lol and yes it voids your warranty unfortunately.
@@izzy0164 i averaged 19-24mpg depending on how much I drove on the freeway that week. Of course if you’re in sport mode all the time or gassing it as soon as the light turns green then that will be different.
Where did you get the black lug nuts? I have the same car.
yasir Shan nice, I got them on amazon. Look for black lug nuts for the challenger
Oh Koo thanks shawn... Did you get the oem Black lug nuts from Amazon or just any black lug nuts that are compatible with the Challenger and also how much did they cost?
yasir Shan I got the oem ones for $78. They’re more expensive, but they don’t fade as fast or as much
Ok thanks my bro I appreciate the info it helped a lot 👍🏽👊🏾!!!... your whip is fire 🔥🔥 🔥🔥 🔥it's hella dope!!!
yasir Shan no problem, and thanks brother. Appreciate it
Nice 👍🏽
Outta no where bro goes and that’s the supercharger I was like hold up
I have a 2012 header orange Challenger, I would like to add that supercharger, which one is it? It is 🔥
Bugattiboi1 I got a RIPP supercharger kit
The_Crow1994 oh ok thanks 🤝
I’m about to get my challenger next week what’s the 1st mod Mid muffler delete ?
Challenger_Gman nice! Yeah, if you want that sound and your state laws don’t care go for it 👍
State law 👀 how can I check it out sub up man bouta grow my channel.
What type of rims are these and where did you get the super charger and how muxh
Standup Guy they came with my blacktop package from the dealer. I got the supercharger from rippmods.com for 5,500
I’m like undecided about what car I want. Camaro Lt or SS or Challenger Sxt/Rt or Q50 hybrid or the sport version or the charger sxt or rt.
Anyways, what’s your HP with the supercharger?
I get 426bwhp, which is roughly 507hp at the crank
Is it carb legal?
Hey brotha your car looks bad ass!! I have a 2019 sxt base and looking to increase horses. Do you recommend anything that will not kill my warranty??
Thanks Man! for small gains probably a performance exhaust or an air intake. The intake can be taken on an off easily if you have to go in to the dealer for anything. Just make sure you keep the old one.
I own a 2019 scat pack 1320 and this video makes me want to go out and buy a v6 model! Lol...is it all wheel drive? Or is all wheel drive, GT ONLY? How much torque to the rear wheel?
Thanks Man, that's a huge compliment coming from a 1320 owner. Unfortunately, only the GT comes with all wheel drive. On the bright side they do have a Ripp supercharger system for the GT. Man, i get really jealous of the GT owners. I wish i could take my car into the snow and just have fun without risking my car running off the cliff LOL
@@shawnsms29 when they started making the all wheel drive challenger I was thinking about trading in my 2017 subaru WRX. Reason is.....CHEAPER in all aspects. Modifying cheaper, cheaper parts. Insurance is cheaper. When you said you had a supercharger on it and the HP number, that was what I was looking for in a daily driver.
PS...I will never sell my 1320, they only made 26 of them in triple nickel this year. Lol......dont worry about the haters, those pricks are probably driving mopeds! Another thing, I'm 48yrs old. I've had time(more years alive) to save money for what I want. In time as you grow older you will get top of the line automobile that you've always wanted
I just got a v6 challenger what exhaust system should I put on it?
joey chapin I got magnaflow 19217
Shawn John ok thanks
Man, I like your wheel that looks so Nice. And I bought the same one, but I'm not make sure whether it fit for my 15sxt. Your brembos is original factory? Thank you.
Thanks, I hope they do. Yes, my brakes were factory.
Shawn John Man Do u notice The engine ticking noise?
shuhang chen no, I don’t have that.
Love it
Franky Doyle thanks man
What kind off supercharger did you put on it and what year is your car???
It’s a ripp supercharger, and my car is 2016.
What size are the tires? If they are 20s would your reccomend 22s?
My rims are 20” and I have 255s on all 4 wheels
@@shawnsms29 I'm wheel ignorant. Does that 255s mean it's a lower profile tire?
@@shawnsms29 can you tell me the difference between 245/45R20 103w vs 255/45R20 105w
@@MHSenju3000 I can, there seems to be more grip. It could also be the quality of the tires too though.
I would highly recommend 275/40r20 tires. Best fit on gt sxt and rt models
who installed your ripp SS?????
daily driven H2 I got it done at superior automotive engineering in placentia
@@shawnsms29 thanks for the reply
