- In this video we will go over 5 modifications you must have for any dodge challenger or charger! These modifications are done tastefully and really give your ride a more aggressive look! There's plenty of other mods that you can do as well but those will be left for another time.

I have to agree with you on all your list! Suspension is a must makes the car look way better. I ended up getting the eibach for suspension. I learned tires the hard way at the drag strip. Spinnin ain't winnin!

Great video man! You can fit a 10.5 wheel in the rear with 315s on the stock body. I recommend Nitto NT05r they hook really well and last longer than most DOT drag radials! All the best with the build 👊😎

My 2019 Charger R/T has the active exhaust, to be honest it sounds great and it’s quiet when cruising but when getting on it opens up and sounds very aggressive. Not sure what year yours it but 2017 and up have that.
I have the 2019 challenger R/T and the active exhaust is nice! You think a K&N air filter will do any good for it ?

Keep it stock it looks and rides better , With that mod out , TINT Windows !! And Tires mmmm I got the Goodyear's stock Supercar F1 , next I'm going to Nitto's Now that's a Tire LOL
I had some nittos in mine and let me tell you bro...they don't hook as well as expected and are horrible in the rain. Instead I went with bfg comp 2's. Check them out. These are the best tires I came across for my Challenger.
I put the variant 4 kw with 18/315 so stance is 1 1/2 out on rear. Gear pulley upper and lower. I put after market flares so now I can run a 17 bogart racing 3 pieceart 390 on rear. Bam.....
Now it hooks up crazy with m & h race masters. BAM.....

They make MDS delete kits with varying options for 5.7, 6.1, and 6.4. If you have 6 speed however, you won't need it (obviously doesn't have multiple displacement mode) however it does have the skip-shift but there's a kit to fix that as well. But yes, getting rid of MDS if you have it or preventing your car from entering it (slap shifting = sport mode) are a must have to extend the life of not only the lifters and cam, but the motor in general

The Chrome gas cap pays tribute to the iconic 68-70 Chargers. Personally I'd have to leave that. Otherwise Id say spot on.
I know that, but they make a black OEM cap and it just would of looked way better from factory with it being black! Chrome is for old school in my opinion. I can't stand it on modern cars.

Chrome works with chrome rims etc.

I have an sxt 2020, I love it 22 mpg in town but still commands respect. I did resonator delete on mine and from elbow back went to 21/2 inch pipe laf! Got black cap also. Mines charcoal I wish I could tint windows on side like that but illegal here. Mine honestly doesn't have much gap it's low. Looks tuff. Thanks for sharing info I hit all the buttons...

Beautiful mods! I have the Destroyer Grey as well; 2017 R/T Scat Pack 392. OMG I LOVE IT!!! Lol I want to do the same with my hood by changing it to mat black as well as my brake calipers, matching the yellow in my Super Bee emblem. Tires... yes I agree. Sticky-er tires are a must! I got a r/t plus with cat back 3" exhaust, flowmaster 10 series, love the sound, looking at the Corsa cold air intake which is dry filter. I see you have k&n which is what I've run on all other vehicles I've owned before.. any recommendations on other tires? Looking at nitto nt555 305/30/20 for rear and keeping the 245 nittos on front
I have wanted a Challenger since they re-introduced them. Now years later I have my chance. Sadly I can not afford anything above a SXT Plus. But it will be my baby and she will get as many mods as I can afford to spend on her over time.

Lower your car, get aftermarket struts , I dunno maybe a sway bar, and Louvers, and you'll definitely have a cute challenger, that's lowkey what I want to do to my V6 challenger

1000% agreed regarding the 245s that come with the 6.4l Scat. But! I would say First UpGrade would be A full K&N air intake, I had one on my 2016 Scat and you'll get that cool sounding slurp when having fun off the line as well as better throttle response. Now this is my first vid of Urs so I dont know what kind of Trans you have, But A must have for any manual trans is the COMPLETE Hurst Short Shifter with pistol grip. I would recommend when the center council is up & gutted, use hushmat where ever possible. Hurst uses polyurethane bushings that replace stock rubber bushing that keep vibration and engine sound down, but I promise to anyone who has 6.4l, those two upgrades change the dynamics of the car. I would also agree about the Corsa exhaust, I paid $1,399 for the Corsa 14993 W/GTX2 tips. Sound and looks is all I got, but hey that's me, if cash comes easy for those, than I would say YES get it, If cash is hard than NO! dont do it...

Found a ton of 2019 RT challengers for 26k at the auction. F yes! They have about 5000 to 7000 miles on them but i guess that's fine. Your car is on point! Love it.

I respect these are the right things for you, I may choose a different path if I go through with purchase.
I dont need a loud exhaust (loud =/= fast), but I want it to be as deep/low note as possible, so I agree to personalize your exhaust. Staggered exhaust is nice.
A must, if you are going to drive in any amount of snow (v6 has over 300 hp as well), a good set of winter tires so you dont wreck the sweet ride.
If I were to do a wheel and tire change, my personal taste is that old school race car look with meaty sidewalls, so I'd find super light weight wheels in the smaller size that fit the brakes, matching diameter, and as wide as possible without fender mods.
I think the ride height is fine for a daily driver, slammed cars arent practical outside a town with perfect streets and driveways. Dont want a trip to a store or restaurant to break your bumper.
Do the newer models still benefit from a catch can? I thought newer engine designs have both direct and port injection keeping that gunk from building up

I would love to modify the mufflers so it at least sounds like the hot rod that it is. My question to you is that a real hellcat or is it a car that you’re modifying into a hellcat. Octane Red 2018 Scat Pack here...with upgraded wheels, yeah thinking of upgrading to at least 265 for rear...if I go any bigger, prob have to get new rims based on what factory rims can hold? Yeah couldn't understand Dodge....car has dark accent trim pieces and you put a chrome gas cap on. Changed that pretty quickly. I do like the ride stance of my 2018..your's looks a bit higher in the ass than mine...wonder if they tweaked for 2018 models. If I did some coils to drop 1-2 inches...any idea if that affects factory warranty? And you made no mention of the stereo. Actually loved my Bowes stereo in my Mazda3 hatchback before I got the Chally....it came with the Alpine stereo...it's ok, but feeling it's missing some beef. Any suggestion on that...guy at work felt I just need a 12" sub in the trunk...how easy of an upgrade is that for an good audio shop? Back in the day with my Ford Ranger low rider truck in the 80s I did all my own stereo work...but these cars are so digital, don't want to fuck around.

My SXT, V6, all stock, its enough power and take off for me!!..which still hauls ass, shifts and ride are smooth as silk and faster then any other V6 I've driven...love my Challey!!

I'm old school (63) and have one of the first two 09 Challengers delivered to the DFW area. The other one was white. Mine is Deep Water Blue. I grew up dreaming of the 70 Challenger. I was 13. It had this Chrome Gas Cap like the R/T Chargers did too. The Batman theme black-out is fine but EVERYBODY has overdone it. Retro is what this car was designed for in the first place and they nailed it.

Obviously Dodge was paying homage to the classics but people can't seem to appreciate that. That's what makes these cars unique from modern mustangs and camaros.
The V6 is a Daily driver lmao. Got mine a week ago and only being 19 i cant complain. Has enough power to pass majority of the other dailies on the road. The only negative is its a larger gas tank compared to the civic i previously had so $30 for gas turned into $50

I have a 2022 Charger 392 Scatpack, and I’ll say they learned their lesson, the exhaust came out of the factory very loud, not straight pipe loud but it’s great

I just bought mine Friday the 26th of June 2020. Beacuse of the warranty dealership ststae as long as I use Mopar parts from them wouldn't void the warranty. Is the exhaust they sell worth it on hp and sound?

There's so many options to get! Just giving a few options for a stock challenger/charger.
Nah headers won't do much. Put a slightly more aggressive cam instead of wasting your money for little gain

Headers, long tube which need a tune to add fuel and eliminate CEL, will add easy 30whp and torque with mid pipes. On SC cars long tube headers will drop your blower psi 1-1.5psi and adds a big house improvement.
Even on NA motors make big power on long tube catless headers. Catless makes the power.

Well to start off with, I have a 2017 challenger that is louder than that, I have done nothing to it, I have a 6 spd manual. And it has active exhaust. You were right about that gas cap. Mine was chrome as well, but I paid 43.00 bucks for mine on amazon. I am a lot older than yourself. I will be going with a decal on the hood, like they did in the old days. I remember the commercials back in 1970 when this car came out. And I thought from that day to this, I would get one. Well the day finally came. Thanks a lot for your videos

My 2022 f8 green RT came in black emblem all around. Love love love it. I suggest get the pedal commander added while your at it... Your right about the muffler I'm so tempted to get a mid muffler delete lol... I love the car ass lifted like that though 😆 🤣. I'll put my oil catch can when my warranty is done. Because I'll take the car to the dealership for miss firing for new intake valve replacement and maybe I get lucky for new engine 😆 🤣 😂... I love my tremec 6 speed as well. I hate that the redline won't let me pass 6k though.

I got 255s front, 275s rear, resonator delete, tinted windows on my 2009 SRT8. Oh and the black fuel filler cap. Head turner. Destroyer gray looks nice too!

Agreed! 15% is a good pick. It's I believe 26% in Washington for legal tinting but like I said, I haven't been pulled over or messed with about it yet! *Crosses fingers and knocks on wood!*

What is your opinion on adding the front and back strut braces?
1) I'm going to E85 on my Cat, so I'll be deleting the cats instead. And, turning off the CEL via tune. I do like the offset quad tips.
2) You can run up to a 305 without modification. Some guys are running 315s. I run a 305/45/17 in back and a 28/6/18 up front.
3) Meh. My red calipers look great with my Pitch Black body color. But, I'd go black calipers with any other body color. Personal preference. Not a necessary mod.
4) No lowering a Challenger! And, no yellow splitter guards either!
5) Hellcat comes with black gas cap. The chrome is a throwback. Personal preference.
6) I have the UPR oil catch can on the passenger side and UPR breather on the driver side valve cover. But, the most important engine mod would be replacing the stock intake gaskets (junk) with the Forced Induction spacer plates on the blown 6.2L engine.

“Quiet” is not how I’d describe the stock exhaust on a Challenger. The rumble from inside with the windows up is satisfying, but when I’m in a built-up area I have to watch how much I use my right foot to avoid being a cop magnet.

I am glad I bought the v6 your engine has multiple problems. I can get just as many speeding tickets as you can but I will do it on less gas 😆 Ford lady showing love for my GT Charger. I think you forgot the cold air intake. I have different taste in tires too. Nice little car I prefer ease of access. I feel childish crawling threw a small space to get to the back seat. 4 doors for 4 seats classy. Big engines are best on a straight shot. I prefer a all around performance myself. Thank you for letting us know your experience with your car.
i traded in my 2010 charger sxt.... for a 2014 challenger rt shaker. i love it. its my fav car now. if you are on the fence, get one. (not the v6 though eek)
