Bingo! It appears everyone is in agreement on this, and now most companies are making these as an option. I think it will be a win-win, especially since no one is giving up inks any time soon. It's fun to have both! TSMFW!
Hi Suzy, I found that doing so would also mean possibly leaving sticky residue on the plate, and I preferred to add it to the clear plate, but I'm sure there's no wrong way to it, so long as the image isn't damaged. It would be fun to play with some washi and come up with some techniques! 🤔All fun ideas 🫶🏼🩷🤗, tsmfw!
TFS your initial trial. I just recently got both the betterpress and glimmer machines so this was very timely for me! It was great to see all the ink results - I have CP, Oxides and archival inks so it was very helpful. I noticed with the glimmer it looked like you used a platinum plate when running it thru your die cutting machine instead of the plate and thin shim that came with the glimmer. Is there a reason you did that? Thanks again!
You are most welcome! It was purely my error in keeping track of which plates go with what. I own several machines and keep the plates in a basket, so I reached for whatever looked good, so please do follow the correct plate recommendation, as I didn't even realise I did this! Thank you for pointing out however. I will be sure to separate the plates now. 😂🫶🏼
I think you may want to stick with the designated plates so as to protect the dies in case there is too much pressure caused by the original one. I would hate to give the wrong advice and have you accidentally crack a plate in the process.
I think the better press plates are better because you use for either better press or glimmer 😊

Hi sweet Raquel thank you for comparing them and reviewing ❤
You're very welcome! I'm so glad you enjoyed it! 💖
Hello from Illinois. Most ppl place the tape behind the cardstock. Love them all.

This was a great review. I just got a BetterPress and this helps regarding my question about using inks, particularly the distress oxides. Veronica
Thank you so much Veronica! There are so many possibilities!! I look forward to sharing more projects with you. Big Hugs!

@ Clearly it didn’t matter, so that’s useful info too! Personally, I would prefer just using one plate so this was nice to see! Thanks!!
