Kitty helpers! Happens at my house, too. Love it. Thank you for your video. It was helpful. I am waiting for my Betterpress to arrive. Excited to try it.
I took a betterpress class recently and the instructor said soap and water worked best to clean the plates. I haven’t tried it yet. It’s also not very convenient to go to the sink after every use to clean your plates. A company called LDRS has an archival cleaner that works well and isn’t as stinky as the Ranger version. I don’t know about availability in Australia. I’m in the US. Love the visiting kitties, btw! 😻
Thank you for watching and taking the time to comment. I generally agree, but some of my plates are the same size as the cardstock, so taping doesn't work for me with those plates, so I had to come up with a solution that suited my needs. There is probably an easier way, but this worked for me.
Thank you for this very interesting video. I watched a few days ago a video from Studio Kato in which she was also playing with different papers. To add debossing effect, she added 1 sheet of household paper (the one you use in the kitchen for the little accidents). I think she folded it in two and placed it behind the paper. I haven’t tried it yet, but I think it’s also a very good idea.
Thank for your video. I agree on looking into our stash and see what works. I also like that you are using a sticky mat, I wouldn’t have thought of that. Great idea! I just subscribed to your channel and look forward to more videos.
Someone else, I forget who, found that they were able to get more debossing with non-cotton paper by spritzing the back with water, much like what you do for embossing folders to prevent cracking. The same principle is involved, loosening the fibers so they bend more easily. The BetterPress paper is quite expensive even in the states (in comparison to cardstock used for diecutting and ink blending). I found an American company that makes the same weight and color 100% cotton cardstock that sells it for ½ the cost of the BetterPress paper.
Ooh thank you, I will have to try spritzing with water! Well done for finding an alternate paper!! My search still goes on trying different brands and colours
I also would like to know the name of the company who makes that cardstock please, I'm new to making card crafts and can't afford spending too much money on paper for practice.
I love that your kitties came to say hello. Glad I'm not the only one who has inconveniently timed helpers 😂
They have impeccable timing, don’t they 😂
Watched this video after the other one about inks...thanks for all your efforts!!
You are very welcome, thank you for watching. We all need to help each other to stretch our supplies
The Sizzix sticky grid sheets are genius! They work great! Thank you for all of your testing!

Very helpful video,thanks for sharing
Thank you for a great video! It was interesting to see the different results for each card stock you used. Thank you fro sharing😀
Thank you so much for watching!
Try using a bit of paper towel behind your cardstock when you use thinner cardstock
That actually works very well!!
Thank you for your video. I find it’s easier to use the removable tape rather than take time to pry off the image from variations of sticky mats.

Is it possible for you to share the name of the company where you found the cardstock?
I also would like to know the name of the company who makes that cardstock please, I'm new to making card crafts and can't afford spending too much money on paper for practice.
Can you please provide the name of the company you mention carrying the same quality cotton paper? Thank you🌻❤️
I love your helpers. I usely have helpers also.
They do add another layer of difficulty sometimes, especially when swatching pastes!! But I wouldn't have it any other way
The cats are hilarious, mine like to investigate too 😂
Thank you!
I think it was studio kato that did tge video you mention.
thank you!
I hear you need a solvent cleaner off of Simon Hurley's video.
Ah interesting, I must go and watch his efforts! Thank you
Thank you!
