Another great video! Put a thin piece of acetate or stamp wrapping plastic on the magnetic platform to prevent so much ink residue directly on the platform

It's exciting to experience the anticipation and release of this product. I'm an artist and printmaker first and crafter second, so this is especially fascinating to me as letterpress is a printmaking technique. I actually plan to pick up the ink pads for my traditional prints, what a great idea. Can't wait to see what us crafters come up with using this "new".tool. what a time to be alive 😂

I really didn’t think I needed to add this Betterpress tool to the line up in my craft room but when I found out I could use their plates for hot foiling, too, I caved and ordered my starter kit plus some extras yesterday. Now I know that ink blended backgrounds work with this letterpress process, as well! Thanks for the great examples.

I have been doing this for so long, I actually have a We R letterpress system. This looks a lot easier to use than that, as it had a hinge system.( I laughed when MISTI said they had invented that …) I have a bit of paper left and some ink so I may break down and try this! TFS.

Beautiful cards. I'm definitely going to try ink blending first. I use temp adhesive tape on the back of my paper when I'm using a full background, it works really well. X

Thank you Mindy! After watching you and Jennifer Maguire, I think I’m going to invest in this machine. I never got into the hot foil glimmer dies, so I don’t feel like I would be overlapping another craft. Beautiful cards!

Gorgeous cards! Thank you for all of your explanations and tips. It makes more sense to me now. The one panel you didn’t use with the saffron ink color really showed the impression that this process makes into the paper. Very elegant. And I always enjoy your videos…

I was on the fence about putting out the money for the Betterpress. I was still on the fence after I did order, receive and use the Betterpress. I thought it was really nice -- but a bit limiting (and was dissapointed that there weren't very many designs to choose from -- and most of them were flowers). So - I came across your video and now I'm in love with the thing! And, since I couldn't figure out which of your designs I liked the best to "copy" -- I screenshot them ALL -- and now I'm off! Thank you so much! P.S. The small included ink pad I received was on the dry side, so I tried my VersaFine Onyx Black ink and it worked perfectly -- sharp as a razor blade! Now to try the bunch of Distress Oxide inks I already have in my stash to color the backgrounds of my watercolor paper to give me even more options. Please, please, please -- more videos!!!!!

Beautiful cards. I saw someone else had an issue when the plate was larger than their card and it made marks in the platern. They recommended taking out a shim or two to be cautious

Waiting to see how all the crafters like this tool...really not liking that you have to use specialty paper, ink & plates. That makes for a heavy investment...again. Plus JM has showed so many videos on faux letterpress! What's a stamper to do?
You don’t HAVE to use their paper and inks. Others will work. They have just found these give the best results . I have not experimented much yet on that
@@MindyEggenDesign I understand..and that's why I'm staying on the sidelines until others do some comparisons with the ink & paper! Don't need the "best" results...just good results...after all, these are handmade cards....

something like this i would probably put in a small bubble mailer
