Stop giving WB money, that's the only way to fix it. Money is the only language corporations understand. If WB isnt giving NRS the support to fix the game, then stop buying dragon crystals, uninstall the game and when the next NRS game drops, dont preorder or buy until you know the game is complete.
I completely disagree, I've been in this field for 15 years. If everyone stopped buying MK1 which they haven't and is still selling very well, it will absolutely lose all support and funding, WB would stop the franchise and not risk their money in the next MK or Injustice games. WB is on limited money, their stock is under the floor, they have been Audited the entire making of this game and they lost the ability to get free money from the federal government thanks to COVID and the Federal Reserve new policies. back in the day with MKX and MK11 when the game started losing it's Fanbase WB had free money to throw out at the problem in the hopes money would fix it. They don't have that luxury today. And if there's no support and everyone talking bad about the current game they would have to cut the game and focus on their many other huge money makers they don't have to throw money into

NRS has set the bar so fking low for MK, the next company could look like massive geniuses who saved MK for simply making an average game.

I'm moving on from NRS and MK in general. Mortal Kombat has basically become the Madden of fighting games. New game every 4 years. No communication. Nothing. Why even bother with it at this point when other fighters offer more. Tekken 8 looks to be the polar opposite. They engage with the community and show love for what they do. NRS and Warner are just trying to milk your wallet.

The problem with MK and archetypes is that they refuse to let characters keep tools and playstyle from game to game. For example Zangief in sf will always be a grappler. In each new game, players want to know what new tools he will get to help his grapple game. In mk you may love a characters tools and archetype in 1 game, then its completely different in the next, and completely different again in the next. Skarlet was so different between 9 and 11 that they shouldn't really have been the same character. And c'mon dude, I'm not going to defend mk11 here but calling it the worst fighting game ever made is just hyperbole.

NRS peaked at MKX and instead of building upon the success of the mechanics, they lost touch with what the community loved and try to reinvent the wheel each game. MK1 is stale bc the Kameos feel like a cheap tool and make 1v1s feel annoying. I don’t believe this game can be saved…

I disagree, I was around through all of it long before MK9 and the community destroyed MKX, they bitched about literally everything about every game from MKX mix, fast pace till they made MK11 as a response. Then people complained about MK11 (rightfully) because that was stale and watered down with no execution barriers. Then they release MK1 with solid gameplay the best of MK9 and MKX, and people still complained about tools like Stryker Grenades which are very counterable or Lao HTB's which again are counterable easily
I would 100000000% rather have a 1v1. Make kameos a seperate mode and flesh out the roster more. I dont even care if they took the game offline for a bit to do it either at this point

People don’t want to play that other stuff they like Mortal Kombat games even if the developers are terrible. I also don’t think NRS necessarily is the problem it’s more WB teaming up with them was a bad idea. Just look at large corporations in general more often than not our products are made by people we don’t really like much. Diablo is doing the same thing their players are pissed but people will still play because they just want a Diablo game. People just want their game and all they can do is hope the developers don’t ruin it.
Dude I think that customers have the power to change those developers if they really could. Blizzard is probably much worse because it's current titles are OW2 and Diablo 4, two of the greediest games of the decade, but NRS doesn't deserve to just be given a pass because "muh nostalgia". The whole reason CoD Vanguard and Battlefield 2042 fell to Battlebit remasted, or why Pokémon BDSP is losing traction while Palworld is blowing up, is because nostalgia is a cheap trick that is failing. If they fall in love with gameplay, they will get a small whiff of tekken 8 or street fighter 6 and won't ever want to go back to mk1. Because why would they? Want a great artstyle? There's guilty gear strive. Want to get your anime friends into fighting games? Versus rising is right there. It's so boring. If they truly fell in love with the MK cast, for story reasons, they don't even need to play MK1! They can emulate the earlier games to check on the story, draw fanart write fanfiction, maybe get into modding things into the game like giving Liu Kang his old outfit or making Shao Kahn's helmet ridiculously cool. They don't need to put up with NRS' crap attitude!

Kasual player here, but big fan of MK since MK II. To me, MK lost its appeal when it tried so hard to become a competitive Fighting game. It seems they don’t really know what to do with the characters I mean yeah, the idea of a ‘good’ scorpion is great, but the excuse of a ‘new universe’ is just lame, kind of what MCU did whenever they tried to reintroduce their protagonists.
won't be fun until the complete edition is out, all fighters and story expansion etc. total drip feed content, pay wall content, grind wall kontent. Deliberately making kombat league a stressful chore so it's hard to unlock everything so they can sell it to you for premium currency later.
I remember the first month of the game, I was having a blast playing kasuals and ranked. I was even Number 6 on the xbox leaderboards for awhile. After awhile, people started to just get salty, playing first to 1's, sending hate messages, ducking people or playing people worse them only. I don't play nor WANT TO play kasual/kombat league anymore. The community is just really toxic for some reason when playing Mortal Kombat. I remember this feeling all too well in MK11, having the urge to play and then instantly regretting it 4 games in due to this kind of behavior. Does anyone feel the same way? Lmk.

Absolutely yes, I have been waiting for someone to say something about the community. At the start everyone was just learning and playing normally but then everyone would just start being salty and leaving after 1 win or tbagging for no reason. I stopped playing for this reason before all of the recent issues everyone else is complaining about. I have been playing guilty gear and the difference in community has been night and day. The Mk community has unironically been one of the worst I’ve played with so far.
The way the community manager had a mini rant about being frustrated that ppl are mad that they don’t communicate and then having to take it down is what makes me so mad WB controls NRS. He literally said if he could communicate more he would but those decisions basically have yo be ok’d by WB smh
I knew the instant I saw the Kameo system that it was a mess. I’m not interested in playing a game with unfinished characters propped up by weird slot in movesets anyone can use. HOW DO YOU BALANCE THIS!? You can’t, there’s way too many variables. This game was rushed out the door, imho it’s a reskinned Injustice 3 masquerading as a mortal kombat game. They pushed the blood and gore to the point where it’s just gross now. And the lore/characters are so different I feel alienated.

Convert Invasion into an arcade/3D era Universe experience. Unlock the mobility to let the user go wherever they want, add a map to know where the user is, add exclusive stages only accessible on invasion, add stage fatalities, add traps, add secrets, add arcade/3D era characters on invasion, make invasion playable offline and sync with the server when the user connect to the internet. Make invasion to unlock classic stages and classic skins for the characters. NRS can fix invasion with that but they don't want to do it.
It's up to NRS to fix the game. Ppl have made plenty of tweets and videos voicing not only issues in the game but ways to fix them. If they fix the mess they caused, it could save the game
One thing we, as Mortal Kombat players, are going to have to start facing is the very real possibility that this game may never be fixed no matter what they do. I remember years ago Ed Boon explaining why Kronika wasn't playable in MK11, he said something that has always stayed with me: he said that they made her too overpowered. And no matter what they tried to do with her coding to make her less OP, the changes only made her worse. That's how poorly she was designed. Now, that's just an example of one character. Imagine an ENTIRE GAME with the issue of being designed so poorly that no matter what it is you fix, you just makes things worse. Unfortunately there have been and will be games that are like this. I'm not saying with 100% certainty that this is one of those games, but I am saying that it's a hard reality that we may have to start preparing ourselves for. I'm gonna hang in there until Crossplay. But if Crossplay turns out to be even worse than what's currently going on now, I'll have to give the peace sign and say "it's been real NRS but I'm out of here."

When you do a video saying the game is fixed then I will return because I love MK but until then I'm going back to SF6 and I'm getting Tekken 8 this week. I couldn't possibly imagine a fighting game more different from Mortal Kombat than Tekken. Normies that play Mortal Kombat don't play Tekken and vice-versa.
My issue with the game is you see the same string everytime you're touched otherwise the damgae drop off is dumb. This was not the case with MKX for example i had endless combos for characters in that game in this sadly thats not the case. We all know the scorpion and sub string for example because weve done/seen it a million times.
I find myself still playing mk11 it’s been installed since day 1! I preordered mk1 was super stoked played hard for a month and was over it! Reinstalled it twice in the last three months and played for maybe 20 minutes each time! Nrs needs to let it go at this point, stop releasing palettes and this paid content that is garbage, do away with kameo system or give the option to not use it. Maybe listen to the community that’s been supportive for years about what they want instead of rushing the next thing out and having it crash and burn within 6 months!

Some good will happen some bad will happen in the future, but in the end I'm expecting this game to end like how MK11 did. i dont know about yall but as long as they fix the desynch, even just a SLIGHT meta shakeup, and buffing the rest of the roster to match kenshi/johnny, this would keep me playing mk1 until the next game from nrs. im having sm fun with the game so far, but its a bit bland playing johnny and lao kameo every 2 sets.
It’s unfortunate that because MK is so mainstream, it has deviated from its more dark aesthetic. I mean God, MK11 and MK1 look like fucking Marvel movies. I wish we went back to Deception style MK, back when I was kinda scared to play MK. I’d take MKX aesthetic over this.
Ive always been a tekken guy have been since 1, but mk is my 2nd and the moment i seen that some kameos wont actually be playable i was sad. Also i was a kano main on mkx and sonya in mk11. Maybe one day they will be but im not holding my breath, cant wait for the 26th.
I believe they announced the desynch issue about a week after quan chi but they only did it on facebook and they said mid january for a fix. which obviously didn't work. though I have had far less desynchs than i did before.
Look, the reason why no one plays mk 1 is although to the pro players it's a better game than MK11, to the casuals its just not as appealing. There's nothing in the game that gives you a high. In MK11, it was very satisfying to catch someone a crushing blow uppercut as a casual. There's nothing in this game that looks exciting to see and give that it factor in between matches. This game is designed for the pro players, not the casuals
The only way to "fix" the game is for us players to stop buying the next MK game. WB has made over 3 million copies with MK1, that's more Street Fighter or Tekken can ever achieve. Once WB earns that much, why would they care for NRS to release a working game on launch.
Tekken is lucky enough not to be under WB … not that NRS is perfect or fully absolved but I think not only is it a better and more complete game but the communication is better in general im sure without WB. But as long as WB is attached MK1 will always be in trouble
I never fully enjoyed this game..Game has zero match making in casual.They literally just give whoever..If they 5 levels above you dont matter..So when you filter your own matches..The people gets mad calls you garbage..Taunts you because you declined a match that shouldn't even been presented to you in the first place..A bronze player will never get match up with a master player in sf6 casual matches..A guy who generally only plays online is playing boring invasions mode more than online..Thats a problem going online is torture.Bunch of A holes mad you beat them..Or talking trash if you lose..And beating them just to see them run to a top tier character😂..This community has no brain of there own..They just copy and paste what sonic and ninja do..I beat a Johnny the next Johnny player doing exactly what the last one did..No versatility whatsoever
Honestly, we can’t buy Kombat packs that are insanely priced for a game that isn’t fully fleshed out… I haven’t bought anything extra for this game since launch and implore others to do the same. You reward WB with money for forcing NRS to release a half-baked game and they’ll do it again but worse next time simply because you showed them that they could get away with it. Don’t spend any more money on the game until they reach a standard that is acceptable to you.

I understand what you mean, but alot of people tend to blame NRS too much and here is why I think we need to stop focusing on NRS and start going for WB. I work in Game Design, and NRS is a Game Design Studio. In the world of game design, those studios don't control when the game comes out and only control a portion of what goes in the game. WB is the Producer, meaning they are the ones who say whwn the game is released, what goes in it, how it get produced, and how it gets monitization. WB is the one to blame for rushing NRS, not NRS for making the game.
They need to add gear/skin loadouts and the ability to save up to 3-5 of them again. It would be awesome if they updated the gear system and added at least one more type of gear piece for each character. I highly doubt they'll make invasions mode much better than it is but it would be so nice if they revamped it and added quests, NPCs, and free roaming instead of going along a track; something closer to Deception's Konquest. Again, I really doubt that will happen but one can dream.... Of course they need to fix a lot of the problems with online, ranked, etc....

I think one big thing about all these issues is that this wasn’t even supposed to be a MK game, which I think is why it seemed so rushed despite not hearing a word from nether realm for a while about their next game after MK11. This was gonna be Injustice 3 with sidekicks that were gonna be the kameos in that game. The fact that the characters clash before the fight is a giveaway and even the beginning of the fatal blows resemble Injustice’s super moves.

MK11 brought me back into the franchise. I still have no idea why people think that was the worst fighting game ever made. I'm totally baffled by that. What was so bad about it? I really liked it. It felt more realistic to me because you didn't have to worry about being hit with an infinite combo that killed you if you made one mistake in a match. I liked being able to get my turn back. Is that what people didn't like? That you couldn't steam roll your opponent? Could someone please explain why MK11 was so bad?
Get this, the desyncs for a start were fixed on PC during this whole month and half that ps5/xbox players suffered (nrs could have just done the same for consoles no?)so they removed the intros and boom problem was fixed (we dont need them in ranked anyhow)but now with the khameleon drop on PC they reinstated the intros into ranked online and boom the desyncs are now back 😠 so i dunno how they couldn't fix it on consoles but its now back on PC so whoever they are employing are either truley incompetant at this point or simply dont care. its only a videogame but seriously this is thier bread and butter with over 13 years they been doing this, what is going on????

Khameleon looks cool but all of the Kams need to be as versatile. It needs a rework and I just don't have faith that it will happen. I hope it does but come on man, how much does a paying customer have to take.

I honestly think the desync issue is due to the fact that they are desperately trying to get this game ready for krossplay and it’s not looking good. I hope that’s not the case. Plus, look at how WB games are ruining studios, forcing Rocksteady to develop a dead on arrival live service suicide squad game because they think that’s where the money’s at. Kasuals on pc almost never desync for me that’s why I want to say maybe this is krossplay related but have no clue really.
Another reason why desync isn’t fixed (according to datamines) as it seems due to NRS want to add not only crossplay at February update via lobbies with workable crossplay (like in 11) and online practise
They don't know what to do with this series anymore. They change everything all the time and nothing works. What is mortal kombat? Besides the fatalities? The gameplay change all the time, the caracters change all the time, there are no focus or direction.
Small details are annoying too. Like why watching a replay you can only rewatch or go back to the main menu.. then I have to go thru all the screens again to watch the next replay.
@@grogwire I think that's because either you or the opponent left the game. I've had that issue to and noticed it's when you or your opponent leaves the match like at the end.

I never felt this game had enough variety with archetypes and just felt super rushdown heavy which is fun to watch but not very fun to play or grind in my case at least. Sucks cus there’s so many characters I’m happy to see return but just not having fun or feel incentivized to grind. At this point I don’t even wanna see Hsu-hao or kotal because I have no faith that we’re ever gonna get a fun grappler this game.

While I'm probably just wasting my time here because these chodes don't listen to anyone other than their fart sniffing investors, just off the top of my head here are a few things I can think of: Add a "non-kameo mode" where people can play normal 1v1 without the kameo system. Bring in someone else to design some actually good looking costumes for the characters. Seperate the rotating towers from Invasions Mode and make the rotating towers its own separate mode, and make it more like the Towers of Time from MK11. Get rid of the ridiculous fight modifiers. Its not fun and nobody likes them. It's very frustrating when all you want to do is play the game but then you are costantly bombarded by absolutely ridiculous fight modifiers. Allow everything in the game to be obtained throug just playing the game. Don't lock content behind a paywall. The single player content needs work. For a NRS game there is a suprising lack of single player content, and what there currently is is just boring. Online needs a lot of work. If the players need to explain to the devs what is wrong with this game's online then they should not be making video games. The online is barebones and lacking a ton of features and functionality. Ease up on the grind mechanics. In its current state the game does not respect the players time at all. There is too much of a grind for too little reward. Add some actual alternate skins for the characters. Enough with the 100 different colors for the same skin nonsense. Add a challenge tower like MK9 had, with over 300 different challenges for the player to do, but have the challenges change on a monthly basis. Add some way for the player to consitently earn Dragon Crystals. Stop with the woke pandering already. Give us some good looking characters and costumes. There is already an abundance of stuff in the game to keep the woke nutjobs happy. Give us normal non-crazy folk some content to look forward to. I can probably think of more, but that's all off the top of my head.

I completely disagree, I've been in this field for 15 years. If everyone stopped buying MK1 which they haven't and is still selling very well, it will absolutely lose all support and funding, WB would stop the franchise and not risk their money in the next MK or Injustice games. WB is on limited money, their stock is under the floor, they have been Audited the entire making of this game and they lost the ability to get free money from the federal government thanks to COVID and the Federal Reserve new policies.
back in the day with MKX and MK11 when the game started losing it's Fanbase WB had free money to throw out at the problem in the hopes money would fix it. They don't have that luxury today. And if there's no support and everyone talking bad about the current game they would have to cut the game and focus on their many other huge money makers they don't have to throw money into

I'm moving on from NRS and MK in general. Mortal Kombat has basically become the Madden of fighting games. New game every 4 years. No communication. Nothing. Why even bother with it at this point when other fighters offer more. Tekken 8 looks to be the polar opposite. They engage with the community and show love for what they do. NRS and Warner are just trying to milk your wallet.

The problem with MK and archetypes is that they refuse to let characters keep tools and playstyle from game to game. For example Zangief in sf will always be a grappler. In each new game, players want to know what new tools he will get to help his grapple game. In mk you may love a characters tools and archetype in 1 game, then its completely different in the next, and completely different again in the next. Skarlet was so different between 9 and 11 that they shouldn't really have been the same character.

I disagree, I was around through all of it long before MK9 and the community destroyed MKX, they bitched about literally everything about every game from MKX mix, fast pace till they made MK11 as a response. Then people complained about MK11 (rightfully) because that was stale and watered down with no execution barriers. Then they release MK1 with solid gameplay the best of MK9 and MKX, and people still complained about tools like Stryker Grenades which are very counterable or Lao HTB's which again are counterable easily

People don’t want to play that other stuff they like Mortal Kombat games even if the developers are terrible. I also don’t think NRS necessarily is the problem it’s more WB teaming up with them was a bad idea. Just look at large corporations in general more often than not our products are made by people we don’t really like much. Diablo is doing the same thing their players are pissed but people will still play because they just want a Diablo game. People just want their game and all they can do is hope the developers don’t ruin it.

Blizzard is probably much worse because it's current titles are OW2 and Diablo 4, two of the greediest games of the decade, but NRS doesn't deserve to just be given a pass because "muh nostalgia". The whole reason CoD Vanguard and Battlefield 2042 fell to Battlebit remasted, or why Pokémon BDSP is losing traction while Palworld is blowing up, is because nostalgia is a cheap trick that is failing.
If they fall in love with gameplay, they will get a small whiff of tekken 8 or street fighter 6 and won't ever want to go back to mk1. Because why would they? Want a great artstyle? There's guilty gear strive. Want to get your anime friends into fighting games? Versus rising is right there. It's so boring.
If they truly fell in love with the MK cast, for story reasons, they don't even need to play MK1! They can emulate the earlier games to check on the story, draw fanart write fanfiction, maybe get into modding things into the game like giving Liu Kang his old outfit or making Shao Kahn's helmet ridiculously cool. They don't need to put up with NRS' crap attitude!

To me, MK lost its appeal when it tried so hard to become a competitive Fighting game. It seems they don’t really know what to do with the characters I mean yeah, the idea of a ‘good’ scorpion is great, but the excuse of a ‘new universe’ is just lame, kind of what MCU did whenever they tried to reintroduce their protagonists.

I remember the first month of the game, I was having a blast playing kasuals and ranked. I was even Number 6 on the xbox leaderboards for awhile. After awhile, people started to just get salty, playing first to 1's, sending hate messages, ducking people or playing people worse them only. I don't play nor WANT TO play kasual/kombat league anymore. The community is just really toxic for some reason when playing Mortal Kombat. I remember this feeling all too well in MK11, having the urge to play and then instantly regretting it 4 games in due to this kind of behavior. Does anyone feel the same way? Lmk.

Absolutely yes, I have been waiting for someone to say something about the community. At the start everyone was just learning and playing normally but then everyone would just start being salty and leaving after 1 win or tbagging for no reason. I stopped playing for this reason before all of the recent issues everyone else is complaining about. I have been playing guilty gear and the difference in community has been night and day. The Mk community has unironically been one of the worst I’ve played with so far.
The way the community manager had a mini rant about being frustrated that ppl are mad that they don’t communicate and then having to take it down is what makes me so mad WB controls NRS. He literally said if he could communicate more he would but those decisions basically have yo be ok’d by WB smh

Convert Invasion into an arcade/3D era Universe experience. Unlock the mobility to let the user go wherever they want, add a map to know where the user is, add exclusive stages only accessible on invasion, add stage fatalities, add traps, add secrets, add arcade/3D era characters on invasion, make invasion playable offline and sync with the server when the user connect to the internet. Make invasion to unlock classic stages and classic skins for the characters.
NRS can fix invasion with that but they don't want to do it.
It's up to NRS to fix the game. Ppl have made plenty of tweets and videos voicing not only issues in the game but ways to fix them. If they fix the mess they caused, it could save the game

One thing we, as Mortal Kombat players, are going to have to start facing is the very real possibility that this game may never be fixed no matter what they do. I remember years ago Ed Boon explaining why Kronika wasn't playable in MK11, he said something that has always stayed with me: he said that they made her too overpowered. And no matter what they tried to do with her coding to make her less OP, the changes only made her worse. That's how poorly she was designed. Now, that's just an example of one character. Imagine an ENTIRE GAME with the issue of being designed so poorly that no matter what it is you fix, you just makes things worse. Unfortunately there have been and will be games that are like this. I'm not saying with 100% certainty that this is one of those games, but I am saying that it's a hard reality that we may have to start preparing ourselves for. I'm gonna hang in there until Crossplay. But if Crossplay turns out to be even worse than what's currently going on now, I'll have to give the peace sign and say "it's been real NRS but I'm out of here."

I tried to hold on but I'm just waisting my time. When you do a video saying the game is fixed then I will return because I love MK but until then I'm going back to SF6 and I'm getting Tekken 8 this week. I couldn't possibly imagine a fighting game more different from Mortal Kombat than Tekken. Normies that play Mortal Kombat don't play Tekken and vice-versa.
My issue with the game is you see the same string everytime you're touched otherwise the damgae drop off is dumb. This was not the case with MKX for example i had endless combos for characters in that game in this sadly thats not the case. We all know the scorpion and sub string for example because weve done/seen it a million times.

I find myself still playing mk11 it’s been installed since day 1! I preordered mk1 was super stoked played hard for a month and was over it! Reinstalled it twice in the last three months and played for maybe 20 minutes each time! Nrs needs to let it go at this point, stop releasing palettes and this paid content that is garbage, do away with kameo system or give the option to not use it. Maybe listen to the community that’s been supportive for years about what they want instead of rushing the next thing out and having it crash and burn within 6 months!

Look, the reason why no one plays mk 1 is although to the pro players it's a better game than MK11, to the casuals its just not as appealing. There's nothing in the game that gives you a high. In MK11, it was very satisfying to catch someone a crushing blow uppercut as a casual. There's nothing in this game that looks exciting to see and give that it factor in between matches.

The only way to "fix" the game is for us players to stop buying the next MK game. WB has made over 3 million copies with MK1, that's more Street Fighter or Tekken can ever achieve. Once WB earns that much, why would they care for NRS to release a working game on launch.
Tekken is lucky enough not to be under WB … not that NRS is perfect or fully absolved but I think not only is it a better and more complete game but the communication is better in general im sure without WB. But as long as WB is attached MK1 will always be in trouble
I never fully enjoyed this game..Game has zero match making in casual.They literally just give whoever..If they 5 levels above you dont matter..So when you filter your own matches..The people gets mad calls you garbage..Taunts you because you declined a match that shouldn't even been presented to you in the first place..A bronze player will never get match up with a master player in sf6 casual matches..A guy who generally only plays online is playing boring invasions mode more than online..Thats a problem going online is torture.Bunch of A holes mad you beat them..Or talking trash if you lose..And beating them just to see them run to a top tier character😂..This community has no brain of there own..They just copy and paste what sonic and ninja do..I beat a Johnny the next Johnny player doing exactly what the last one did..No versatility whatsoever

1: general shao hasnt been the all powerful kahn since Deception and MK9, not counting armageddon no one does, he is now sindel's lacky and needs to be deleted
2: Shang Tsung, if he isnt the movie guy no one really cares as he is used the least because of that he isnt Tagawa and fans could care less and is tired of him
3: Kuai Liang as scorpion, another one that is not used because he isnt Hanzo Hasashi and could care less, scorpion mains of mk1 are just Kuai Liang fans

I understand what you mean, but alot of people tend to blame NRS too much and here is why I think we need to stop focusing on NRS and start going for WB.
I work in Game Design, and NRS is a Game Design Studio.
In the world of game design, those studios don't control when the game comes out and only control a portion of what goes in the game.
WB is the Producer, meaning they are the ones who say whwn the game is released, what goes in it, how it get produced, and how it gets monitization.
WB is the one to blame for rushing NRS, not NRS for making the game.
NRS needs a hard reset.
They need to add gear/skin loadouts and the ability to save up to 3-5 of them again. It would be awesome if they updated the gear system and added at least one more type of gear piece for each character.
I highly doubt they'll make invasions mode much better than it is but it would be so nice if they revamped it and added quests, NPCs, and free roaming instead of going along a track; something closer to Deception's Konquest. Again, I really doubt that will happen but one can dream....
Of course they need to fix a lot of the problems with online, ranked, etc....

I think one big thing about all these issues is that this wasn’t even supposed to be a MK game, which I think is why it seemed so rushed despite not hearing a word from nether realm for a while about their next game after MK11.
This was gonna be Injustice 3 with sidekicks that were gonna be the kameos in that game. The fact that the characters clash before the fight is a giveaway and even the beginning of the fatal blows resemble Injustice’s super moves.

It’s crazy to think that mkx came out in 2015 but the game life cycle lasted almost a decade because not only was it a great game but it was super fun mk1 definitely has the potential to be good if not better than mkx really hope nrs and wb dont ruin 2 titles in a row
I hate the kameo system. I haven’t played in over a month and have no desire to at this point.
Also, the issue with MK games is that they suffer seriously from an identity crisis. Theres no reason why we need ebery mk game to play different and keep relearning it so nkw with MK1 they was trying to make it different from the past 3 and now we have this weird cameo mk game. The problem this whole cameo just seems like it should be a extra them we have regular 1v1
MK11 brought me back into the franchise. I still have no idea why people think that was the worst fighting game ever made. I'm totally baffled by that. What was so bad about it? I really liked it. It felt more realistic to me because you didn't have to worry about being hit with an infinite combo that killed you if you made one mistake in a match. I liked being able to get my turn back. Is that what people didn't like? That you couldn't steam roll your opponent? Could someone please explain why MK11 was so bad?

Get this, the desyncs for a start were fixed on PC during this whole month and half that ps5/xbox players suffered (nrs could have just done the same for consoles no?)so they removed the intros and boom problem was fixed (we dont need them in ranked anyhow)but now with the khameleon drop on PC they reinstated the intros into ranked online and boom the desyncs are now back 😠 so i dunno how they couldn't fix it on consoles but its now back on PC so whoever they are employing are either truley incompetant at this point or simply dont care.
its only a videogame but seriously this is thier bread and butter with over 13 years they been doing this, what is going on????
I was just watching mk9 tournament it was so much fun the watch you cd jr reo pig detroitballin tyrant djt mannn if this game can get even close to those days I’ll be happy but first nrs need to address the issue netcode rooms crossplay like they are really slacking on content
Khameleon looks cool but all of the Kams need to be as versatile. It needs a rework and I just don't have faith that it will happen. I hope it does but come on man, how much does a paying customer have to take.
I'll tell you what it is the casual mk1 gamer is basically being dissed by all the pros so therefore the community is devided, and that's bad. No one can see eye to eye on nothing if a pro gamer puts something forward the casual gamer isn't listening and vice versa not only that, but the micro transactions, buying fatalities, we already bought the game what more do you want from us, the only reason this game is still selling is because of the mk name. Theres no fixing the community its like dbd trying to fix itself once you take the genie out of the bottle you can never put it back in.
It's not the worst but I checked out not even 3 days after release. It's a shame I was looking forward to the game and now it's uninstalled.

I honestly think the desync issue is due to the fact that they are desperately trying to get this game ready for krossplay and it’s not looking good. I hope that’s not the case. Plus, look at how WB games are ruining studios, forcing Rocksteady to develop a dead on arrival live service suicide squad game because they think that’s where the money’s at. Kasuals on pc almost never desync for me that’s why I want to say maybe this is krossplay related but have no clue really.
Another reason why desync isn’t fixed (according to datamines) as it seems due to NRS want to add not only crossplay at February update via lobbies with workable crossplay (like in 11) and online practise
No, not really, Rocksteady started to work on Suicide Squad around 5, 6 years ago, that was their choice, not WB pushing.

Even the numbers of viewers on Twitch is low lately. Won't lie I dont even watch the game anymore or play. Game just got boring for me.
They don't know what to do with this series anymore. They change everything all the time and nothing works. What is mortal kombat? Besides the fatalities? The gameplay change all the time, the caracters change all the time, there are no focus or direction.
Small details are annoying too. Like why watching a replay you can only rewatch or go back to the main menu.. then I have to go thru all the screens again to watch the next replay.

@@grogwire I think that's because either you or the opponent left the game. I've had that issue to and noticed it's when you or your opponent leaves the match like at the end.

I never felt this game had enough variety with archetypes and just felt super rushdown heavy which is fun to watch but not very fun to play or grind in my case at least. Sucks cus there’s so many characters I’m happy to see return but just not having fun or feel incentivized to grind. At this point I don’t even wanna see Hsu-hao or kotal because I have no faith that we’re ever gonna get a fun grappler this game.

While I'm probably just wasting my time here because these chodes don't listen to anyone other than their fart sniffing investors, just off the top of my head here are a few things I can think of:
Add a "non-kameo mode" where people can play normal 1v1 without the kameo system.
Bring in someone else to design some actually good looking costumes for the characters.
Seperate the rotating towers from Invasions Mode and make the rotating towers its own separate mode, and make it more like the Towers of Time from MK11.
Get rid of the ridiculous fight modifiers. Its not fun and nobody likes them. It's very frustrating when all you want to do is play the game but then you are costantly bombarded by absolutely ridiculous fight modifiers.
Allow everything in the game to be obtained throug just playing the game. Don't lock content behind a paywall.
The single player content needs work. For a NRS game there is a suprising lack of single player content, and what there currently is is just boring.
Online needs a lot of work. If the players need to explain to the devs what is wrong with this game's online then they should not be making video games. The online is barebones and lacking a ton of features and functionality.
Ease up on the grind mechanics. In its current state the game does not respect the players time at all. There is too much of a grind for too little reward.
Add some actual alternate skins for the characters. Enough with the 100 different colors for the same skin nonsense.
Add a challenge tower like MK9 had, with over 300 different challenges for the player to do, but have the challenges change on a monthly basis.
Add some way for the player to consitently earn Dragon Crystals.
Stop with the woke pandering already. Give us some good looking characters and costumes. There is already an abundance of stuff in the game to keep the woke nutjobs happy. Give us normal non-crazy folk some content to look forward to.
I can probably think of more, but that's all off the top of my head.

what needs to happen is NRS needs to overhall the game as almost no one really cares for the cameo system and they were lazy putting roster characters as cameo
which should only be for those who havent been seen in a long time, NRS needs to fix some of the character powers like smokes disapearing BS isnt fair, fans want
MKX 3 fighting styles as that game is still being played because MKX is the best MK game we need some of that back some of thse character powers needs to go
