You cooked the living heck out of that ground beef. Great recipe...but you wouldn't need the cornstarch water in the end to thicken it. Just dont dry out your ground beef..the fats from the tomato paste and it's own fat is good enough to keep the dish moist and the water from the beans. Otherwise...we cook similar dishes like this at home. I sometimes use bokchoy or other asian leafy greens or use red onions instead of yellow...they have a sweeter taste...you won't need to add sugar. Sometimes...I replace tomato paste and salt with some soy sauce and oyster sauce. I mince up some ginger and throw that in. Try it out! This dish is very flexible! 🤙🏼
