  • Did you know that your chronotype can tell you the best time of day to be intimate with your partner? We often think that the evening -- or right before bed -- is the best time for sex. But as sleep expert Dr. Michael Breus explains, the evening is when our hormones are at their LOWEST. And as a result, our capacity for connection and performance is its lowest, too.
In this video, Dr. Breus explains what hormones are necessary for intimacy, why morning sex is best, and why both women AND men report better sexual satisfaction when they can start their day with sex.

Great information! For us, our preference to have sex is at night time after our children are asleep. We are just more comfortable in the dark, but as a man having that morning wood I wouldn't mind it doing it early in the morning. While a discussion of preference is helpful in any relationship, ultimately, it comes down to what works best for everyone involved. Thanks for the very helpful video Dr. Michael!❤👍

Curious what you recommend if one person is a bear and the other is a wolf? Morning time fun isn't easy for a wolf, they are groggy, need coffee, and time to wake up :-/ any suggestions?

If you are referring to intimacy then there is an entire chapter in The Power of When looking at best times for people with different chronotypes. The data shows that not just early morning, but also an early evening ( 6-8 pm) might also be a good time! -MJB

“Born as a biological male” - no need to listen any further, if this is the rubbish you are coming out with

He simply stated a fact, males have their highest testosterone levels in the morning (hence morning the wood reference). If you were not born male with functioning testicles then this would not apply to you

      @@hojo70Oh shut up.
Actually - the reason he explicitly mentions the words "biological male" is not offend trans people or the trans agenda, no other reason. Since when does someone use the words "biological male?' What other type of male is there? Its the same nonsense as "pregnant people", there are only pregnant women, NOT pregnant people.
The same reason why women are referred to as "chest feeders" or "womb owners".
      Do actually you dispute this?
