@lojofishing Man...to be real if they are budget cutting and down-sizing it could mean more people will be dropped. Gut feeling is saying that they might be looking to sell the company. Becca said they hired a person and that made her know it was coming. If I was to guess, the job that person was hired for is Turnaround, Consulting and Restructuring Manager. Basically an Interim Executive that will try to recover the business based on performance of others and they will maximize profit with minimum employees.
At this point it seems like some in Googan have agendas of their own anyway, its not a bad thing but it does mean goals/directions have changed. Not saying any one person is at blame either because that goes to the entire team running the company.
I am not in the company but I bet there will be a big meeting soon resulting in more cuts.
@@beccayaseen With everything going on I feel like even LOJO could be on the chopping block sadly. LOJO is my fav out of the Googans...I feel like once he catches that big break in momentum he will be up there with FLAIR. The thing is...I honestly feel like Googan is holding him back a bit.
Anyway, I know I am not involved or know the entire story but I do feel like your value to the company was probably not the reason this happened. It was probably because of a mixed bag. You have admitted to having a change in style of content...that is a factor. You live far away and probably have difficulties affording expenses that they probably don't want to cover.
Its ok to be upset but one of the hardest things to do is separate friends and business...I know how that works lol.
I hope things work out Becca. Maybe you could contact one of those companies you declined in the past?

It was really nice to see a female on the googan squad.. a female who actually wanted to be there to fish. Not a trophy girlfriend who just tagged along. I'd rather watch your content than any of theirs because your content is real. You're not afraid to show us that you're learning while you film. That's what real life is and that's what people like. I’ve been watching the a few of the googan guys for years now.. and when I ran across your channel maybe a year ago and heard you say you were apart of the googan squad, I always wondered why I never saw you in any of the bigger members’ videos… but this would explain it.. well, googan or not, you got a fan in me and I’m sure I speak for all of us when I say WE CAN’T WAIT to see the big things the future holds for you!

I don’t know much about Googan, but I know that your videos are getting better and better. The truck Camping community is growing in leaps and bounds… Grow with them Becca you have what it takes. Googan’s loss for sure.
Family and I are sad to hear this but. Think it’s probably for the best. I think they increasingly concentrating on “Bro Fishing” which is a mistake in my opinion. They appear to be regressive not and not progressive anymore. Hopefully they will weather the storm, but I doubt it. it’s a shame that they have lost Yak Pak, Ayo and Norm. It seems if you don't have the cash flow you're treated differently. John B sold you a lemon of a boat and didn't try to make it right a few years back. They treat Norm and AYO less than equal to some of them. I will say that I only watched LFG and Flair. The others get under my skin.

I'm assuming that Googan is in the future going to be sold to some gigantic Chinese company where the product is just gonna be part of some gigantic company. A lot of the reel companies went to that years ago.
Making a reel from scratch costs like 200 million dollars.. u need to sell a lot of those befor ur even.. so all these companies just buy the bulk of the parts.. maybe make a new shell.. only a few companies spend the money to produce it themself.

I have been watching ur channel for a while now. As well as the Googan guys. I can tell you that from a viewers point of view that I saw how they were treated you and I believe I even commented back in the day about it. I also love their products but they need to clean up their act in how they treat others in the industry! You were incredibly respectful in this video, kudos to you kid. Good 👍 on you for going for it. I'm 70+years old and bought my first Kayak three years ago. Boating, Fishing, Camping ... (all kinds) have been a lifelong love of mine too. Heading out later this week again, after the holiday crowds tame down. My husband doesn't fish. Sometimes he'll come along but it's mostly me when I do a "Van camp" fishing trip. I believe it feeds our souls being outdoors, especially when fishing. Always an adventure.
@@pamelaklemp5615 I love it. My husband does not fish or camp either but he likes that I do! He actually searched for and found me my Old Town Sportsman PDL peddle kayak so I could fish hands free! It weighs 100 pounds without the gear inside. I lift that thing up on the roof of my RAV4 by myself. Soon I will need to get a pickup or a utility trailer to haul it around! Keep fishing and staying active! It is a great way to stay healthy!

Husband and I are in Georgia, Alabama and Florida mostly. Transplants from the Northwest. If you're ever going to be in my neck,of the country SHOUT OUT, we'll go fishing, Kayaking, Van Camping and leave the Husbands to tell crazy stories 😀 about our past fishing trips 😄.
@@teresawoodside4051 My Kayak is an Old Town Sportsman, non PDL. They are a beast to load but that's the payoff for such a great fishing Kayak. I trailer mine, lifting it once was enough for husband and myself. Today's a rest and regroup kinda day in our Motorcoach. Refreshing my camping kitchen before heading out in the Van for some fishing later this week. For now it's poolside R&R ... 🍽🍹 OH, and good on your husband for his successful search for your Kayak. He did 👍. My Van was actually an Anniversary gift from husband several years back. I said I needed one for afternoon naps between Morning and Evening "Topwater" bites 🤣 . Sounds like we're both lucky ladies with great guys.

You should be happy you did work with them they got you up to almost a 100k subs if it wasn’t for googan u wouldn’t be where you are. The truth is you don’t bring in views like the rest of them. That’s called business. Fishing is a big business. Do your own thing and quit complaining
Don't feel bad. Yakpak also left. If people keep leaving the company. What does that tell you about the company and it's leadership? Just because the baits are decent and fair priced. Doesn't mean the people are genuine.

I think the only actual Googan Squad lure that I used was their version of a Rattle Trap. I got the Mystery Tackle Box for four years and finally stopped at the beginning of the year because I had more than enough plastic worms and craws to last the rest of my life
My neighbor started fishing mostly for northerns so I gave him a bunch of stuff.
I'm sorry to hear this. I hate that Googan is going backwards. Female representation is important for the sport. I find that I watch a lot of fishing youtubers and a lot of them forget that they have female viewers. Whenever they say ladies and gents or something like that I'm like, you've won my heart. A few years ago I started kayak bass fishing tournaments and quickly realized that breaking out Googans is the quickest way to get crap. It’s not necessarily the product but the people behind the company.
I have never purchased any Googan merchandise… and I never will! They aren’t in it for the purpose of honesty… they are all about money and nothing else. It’s Sad.. there were a few RUclips channels I used to watch, once they joined the elites… I lost all respect for them! Unsubscribed from them and moved on. Best of luck to you in the future!

Suddenly there (allegedly) was a Googan strategy of recruiting from within "The Boys" to bring someone into the Googans to (allegedly) start to Break-up 💔 the competition 🤔 😉. REMEMBER THAT 😉 🤔. At the end of the day you have done more than enough to support Googan and held up your end of your contract. unfortunately Googan hasn't taken care of you and the other youtubers that help grow that company. Yes Flair, Jon B., Lake fork Guy, Lunkers Tv are the OG squad but they gave control to money makers and lost touch with what their company was about. You know Becca.. Ever since I started watching your channel.. I thought it was kinda insane that they brought you on as a Googan and then they never talked about you again. I always thought it was kinda shitty how much you talked up about them and how much love you showed them and they never ever talked about you or showed you any love and I think thats a shame. Cos if anyone has paid attention they can clearly see they all let the money get to their heads, that is why they all had a falling out for a while. really kinda shitty to see.

This. I found Jon B back in his college days when I was recovering from surgery, and followed him and the other Googans as they did all their collabs, the house in TX, all that stuff, culminating in starting their bait company. Started following Becca somewhere along the way and I thought it was awesome when they brought her on. And then...nothing. They didn't bring her down to Texas, no collabs, not even a mention in their videos. It was the first thing that gave me a bad taste about the Googan Squad. I just feel like they didn't even try. Maybe they just were a group of good old boys and didn't know what to do with a female angler, but then LoJo, JigsandBigs and all the other guys that Becca regularly collabs with do just fine. It's strange and disappointing.

I bought stuff I could wear just in everyday life, and it was my way of supporting your channel. Anyway, it's their loss and just means that they need to be out of the way so something bigger and better can come along. No worries, just continue to have fun out there 🙂

I hate to say it, but the whole fishing industry is changing. Big companies selling to other companies doing away with their "influencers" and dropping a lot of their staff who have been with them for years. Keep pushing forward as one door closes and many doors open. Stay safe and FISH ON!

There is a lot of fishing tackle companies and camping companies that would love to have you as a spokes person using their gear. Zebco is the first to come to mind.
Never heard of them until your channel. This is what makes you stronger. There will be other sponsors. My guess is there was too much truck camper life and not enough fishing. They will never tell you why. It's their loss. Can't wait until you get to 100k subs!

I've never been a googan fan. In fact, I have never used any of their stuff and never will. I dont watch any of their videos either. The one thing i didnt like about your channel was your association with them, dont have to worry about that anymore.

ok out 454 stuff here I the guy with open fishing deal for a lady ps it on my daughter she refused it ( I was adopted its sealed ok there a 3 added person he drove a over the road truck to see my father at a boat factory & fix a old type ww2 deisel engine ok I thinking who owned it if i to fix it who the step father brother said Forest WOOD ok if you don't know he owned designed & made the company Ranger boat really it not a joke! ok the guy gave me a old military manual his name & military numbers made the VA doctors flip out they said i had what was 100% death rate cancer to who Him he first man to live threw it! this was threw DNA they froze his blood I have the illness to PS the US goverment made him sick & it tied to my mothers genes to me! ps there not lie the court said more related man was need it was him He really my relation! very one play scam games no one even showed up after paid it crap! everything setting waiting for a real person no joke! my so called relation messed me over & played me & it was really bad I am really sick & delayed testing (scope tests mouth belly & rear end) it might be real bad! they said get some one it doctors IE Goverment injured me & it rules & it wild! I just like to see if this plan i have would work!
Never worry about someone else, especially someone elses company. Worry with yourseslf and always take the better opportunity and move on. Especially when the first company basically ignores you and just throws small amounts of money or discounts your way while they roll in the cash.

I have recently ( maybe a month or two before you ) started watching ayo, fishing with norm, and flair. I didn't realize they were apart of this googan squad I hear about. I just like they're content. I don't buy anything from these guys I really don't go for fomo fishing lures! I really HATE any channel when they say "LETS GO" so cringe. So on that Note I already know how to fish and I live in Michigan seen it done it. Hopefully you get what you deserve stay humble.

You want them to keep trending upward but they are trending toward the bottom of the toilet. It’s pretty apparent they treated a lot of their creators like trash.
Saw this coming a year or two ago. (Not just Becca) Googan went fully corporate. They expanded too much too quickly on the acquisitions front. They were just concentrating on buying companies and becoming "big business". A good example is when they bought DUX/BUX from Flair. Soon after that Flair stopped pushing it on his channels so much and sort of back burnered it. He mentions it for a few seconds when they release a new product then moves on. It seems to me he is not super thrilled with the direction the business side is taking and has concentrated more on his own thing and Beefcake Jerky. Some of the other guys (even the old school guys). Have sort of backed away from Googan centered content over the last year or so. Doing their own thing.
Love your channel and from the people who have departed I would say you are going to be OK. Talk with Ayo fishing and see if you 2 could calab. Ayo and Norm chose to depart a couple years ago

So what I'm hearing is they brought someone in that hasn't helped Googan get to where it is, and are eliminating the people that have? I don't buy any Googan products, so no wash off my back, but i was starting to consider buying some. The only reason I even know of them is through the RUclips channels that are no longer affiliated with Googan. So Googan just shot themselves in the foot, I no longer watch any channels that will advertise their products. Good news for you Becca, I honestly would have never subbed your channel (no offense, I just watch too many fishing channels as is), but because they left you out, and your good nature about the situation, I hope your career grows into any industry.

Googan will never be the same, they found success and money, and those two things will always separate who they were at start-up. I can't even get Googan baits around here anymore, for some reason they will not stock them, which makes me think there is something else going on.
Welcome to corporate. You are just a number to them. I have been working in the wireless industry for 35 yrs. It doesn’t matter what company you work for, and having a sponsor that IS what you are doing. You are a number. You don’t meet certain key points, your gone. Go find another boss. I for one don’t like Googan shit, they are too expensive. They think they have great crap, they don’t. I have used their crap in KY. for me, it doesn’t work. I like the old fashioned lures and soft plastics.
It’s lunkers. Has been, always will be. If you watch closely, he thrives off of watching guys fail under him. There needs to be a corporate overturn of his his part, responsibility, and actions.

Yeah ive watched you , AO others that the Googans have cut ties with. I was a full googan supporter. But you cut your friends what you have? So now i still watch the " outcast". But googan is not on my sub list anymore. For my reasons. Me and the wives watch everything you do. Keep up the good work love ya!!!
Becca, to be completely honest..your videos are more down to earth. More feasable for the average joe. You are more relatable then the rest of the googan squad. You arent on here showing off what you can buy this week. Or where youre traveling to. You seem more wholesome and down to earth. In a nut shell, YOU will 100% be on to bigger and better things. It’s the same in a lot of company’s like clubs they become a sausage fest and only chase the youtubers with the g-string booty shots.
Forget about them. You don’t need them. One thing I will say if I may is don’t forget about the fishing. I’m from Australia and the only other 2 channels I watch, one has stopped because he forgot about the fishing and his subs just dwindled to nothing. Fish on.
Googan was just using you for free publicity. Yes, I know they allowed you free merch to demonstrate, but most of that was just a tax write-off for them. You have a name built for yourself now, so go start your own thing. Their loss, your gain.

The Original Googans need to take control of their company again and cut ties with the corporate heads who only look at it as business and take more for themselves than the people who are out here pounding the pavement and promoting the brand world-wide.
I hope that people in the organization see this video along with YakPak and start to realize the company hasn't taken care of some of the people the way they could and likely should have.
So many people dumped on Norm when he and AYO decided to leave and some of the comments behind that painted Norm in a viciously cold, crude way and I wasn't sure what to make of it, but it seems that maybe he was just quicker to pull the bandaid off on his terms rather than be dictated to because of how well he does without Googan Squad and didn't need them as much they needed his influence and reach.
The fact you turned down other offers to stick with them sucks, but maybe you were smart enough to have kept doors open for you and now you can work out those deals for yourself. Googan is growing by the day and even though their bait business is still innovating, their apparel lines have suffered quite a bit as the lack of cool and creative designs since Summer last year have dwindled. Their current offerings are dull & boring and aren't as plentiful as before, and holy hell are their performance shirts Waaaaay overpriced!
I realize business is business, but loyalty should count for more than what it seems it does with Googan, at least from the corporate front. The boys should speak up and change the cut throat culture and get back to being a great brand who stands by creators that are loyal to them and their brand.
Flair seems like a real one, but Rob and Jon, at the end of the day are just a couple of kids who don't know they're still kids. Over the last couple yrs, they've pissed off a lot of people by "parting ways" with some of their best personalities. I don't know who is calling the shots around there these days, but their soft plastics are trash now and people are noticing. I wouldn't be surprised if they ended up selling to some larger tackle company in the next few years.
I've never purchased anything from Googan and from what I've seen just from the few channels I subscribe to probably never will. I realize I'm only hearing one side of the story but the story always seems to be the same.
