Hey folks, this is Paula - I have seen a number of comments about the $3.00 "Service Charge" that appeared on the bill for the pizza. This was my TIP - it looks wonky on the receipt, the way it appears, but it was not a surcharge, it was a tip. Just wanted to clear that up, and not let you think the pizzeria was tacking on charges. 😊
My wife and I were in Las Vegas last May and had the opportunity to visit Resort World. We were very impressed by the enormous globe with its led technology. The large spaces in the property, culinary options it offers, in short, a very nice resort. But, for our choice, there is no hotel more beautiful and elegant than the Bellagio, with its beautiful fountain and dancing waters and the ever-changing beauty of the conservatory. It is a matter of taste. Saludos Paula y Dale desde Buenos Aires, Argentina - Greetings Paula & Dale from Buenos Aires, Argentina
Hello Daniel! Thanks so much for writing - we always love to hear from you, down in exotic and faraway Buenos Aires. 🥰 And, honestly, I cannot disagree with you, about the Bellagio. Nothing better. ❤
Fun fact: this hotel was going to be Echelon Place and it was announced after the Stardust closed in 2006, but due to the 2008 recession construction stopped and it was abandoned before Genting group bought the property. The music when Paula ate the pizza is a funny touch.
Yep, you are correct. It sat there as a bunch of girders for many many years, before construction began again. That music was a last-minute touch that Dale added - so glad you liked it! 😊
That was a wonderful tour of the place. The cinematography was top notch for both indoor and outdoor shots. Looks like the place improved drastically since your last report on the place. Thanks for an informative and entertaining report of this mega-resort. Your efforts and dedication are very much appreciated.
Awesome tour of Resorts World!!! I visited the one in the Catskills in NY and cannot compare with the Vegas location. Thanks to both n hope to visit in 2023. Stay well!!! God bless!!!
I had heard some not-so-kind things about Resorts World but the way you present it, it's definitely a must-visit when I get back to Vegas. I appreciate the effort you put into your presentation and the details are very bright and appealing. Can't understand why the town hasn't made you official Vegas ambassadors yet--you highlight the vibe there so well. Thanks!
Thank you, Jacob, that is a really nice thing to say. We too hear some not-so-kind things...and to be honest, this was NOT an overnight stay, we didn't book a room or have dinner; it was just a walkthrough to see what was new. Not necessarily a good picture of what a vacation stay might be like.
Nice review. There are definitely alot more restaurants and shops now. I used to frequent the Mulberry Street Pizzeria on Canon in Beverly Hills back in the 90's. You would always see the actress Cathy Moriarty in the restaurant plus alot of other celebrity types. The pizza back then was really good and the NY slices were big. I might be wrong but believe they brought the water in from the east coast for the dough. With that said there's no way I'm paying $7.50 for a slice plus a $3 service charge and a $5 bottle of iced tea. The rents at Resort World are high but I can find good slices of pizza either locally or off strip.
No doubt you can find pizza for much less, yes! I do want to set you straight on the one thing though - don't want to malign the pizzeria. The $3 was my tip, not a service charge - I have no idea why it appeared so weird on the receipt.
@@paulamckenzie Got it I just assumed it was another place adding the service charge. Tipping is great but I hate when a service charge is automatically tacked on.
Hi Paula and Dale! Resorts World is huge. My son and I were just there about three weeks ago. Paula; your videography is amazing! Thank you both so very much for this great video tour. Enjoy your week. CAB😍

i can't believe it has been over a year since Resorts opened. Thanks for the update on what has happened since. I have been to "Enchant Christmas" the last two years in a city near where I live, and I would recommend seeing it. It might even be something you would want to do a vlog about, but if you don't feel like filming, it is a fun event to see. Keep the great content coming!
Thank you for the update of Resorts World - one year later. It looks even better now than it did back then! I love the homage to The Stardust! It was my favorite resort on the strip in the 80's. We stayed in the rows of motel units in the back just because they were so cheap! They were surprisingly very clean and much better than expected for the price. And of course, the colorful front of the resort, and the incredible ⭐Stardust⭐ sign! The theater looks impressive. Luke Bryan should bring Dale McKenzie out of retirement and have him as his opening act!! 😁
You both do such a great job! This was a wonderful tour of this beautiful property Resorts World! Very impressive indeed! WOW! They definitely thought outside the box here! Hi Paula and Dale! You did such a lovely job showing us Resorts World! I, for one, really appreciate the depth of your knowledge and presentations! Thanks again for a wonderful video! Hugs!
Resorts World Las Vegas isn't the incredible, blow my mind away, must-see place that I am always hoping for when a new resort opens in Las Vegas, but it isn't as bad as I feared it might turn out to be. I am surprised at how frequently I find myself randomly showing up there. It seems like almost half the time I'm over at Wynn/Encore, I wind up just walking on over to RWLV. I have stayed comp nights at Conrad once (summer of 2021) and at Crockfords once (summer of 2022) thanks to my status with Hilton. I still have not gambled a single dollar on the property. I have tried a few of the higher/mid-tier restaurants, and I have tried maybe half of the restaurants in the Famous Food Street Eats. None of the food options have stood out to me as outstanding, although I do find myself over at Sun's Out Buns Out far too often getting their pastries. I am a regular at many Vegas resort pools during pool season, but I find the RWLV pool deck to be too sterile and almost boring for my taste. While I did appreciate that one pool reserved for Crockfords guests only, I feel like the separate infinity pool to be poorly executed. (Where am I supposed to put my drink while I'm looking at the Strip?) If done right, with its view of the Strip, that pool should have been a showstopper for the resort. Maybe the infinity pool will be better once Genting develops that empty plot of dirt on the south side of the property. I know they will be using that area for a winter wonderland during this Christmas season, but I am still hearing (unfounded) rumors that it could possibly be developed into a water park. I don't know what to think about this resort yet. Perhaps it will be better and have more energy once more conventioneers return to town (because of the easy access to the Convention Center), and Fontainebleu will only add to establishing a critical mass of resorts on the north end of the Strip. If this resort ever starts getting really popular, I am certain they will utilize the control arms and pay stations that are already in place and actually start charging guests to park there. In the meantime, to me, RWLV simply seems like another good property, but not a great property.
apparently the water park rumours are false according to a guy who does a channel talking about the drought issues, so probably that's not gonna happen. I hope not, because there's already water parks in vegas so no need for another one with all the drought problems. In this video, looks like RWLV is rather empty. I wonder when/if the developers will get back all the money they poured into this place.
As always, we thank you for your thoughtful and well-researched comments. The day I visited was last Tuesday, around 11 am - and it was not busy, as you saw. I have no idea what it's like on weekends, or how well it is doing. But yeah, maybe the Fontainebleau will change the landscape in that area, and bring more traffic to Resorts World. Time will tell.
As usual another A+ video ! So detailed and informative. Until viewing your video I had no interest in visiting Resorts World. Now that you’ve shown all that the resort has to offer it’s on my to do list for my November trip. Thank you so much for your very professional videos. Definitely one of the top Vegas channels!
Wonderful content. Great video, you make it look easy but I am 100% sure it is not. The effort really shows in your awesome videos. Thank you for helping to create a happy Sunnday morning for us!! Take care you 2! ❤️
Why are the sports bars called sports book in Las Vegas? I appreciate seeing the displays all over the Strip of photos, the lights saved, nods to the bosses who ran Las Vegas betting, etc. in Las Vegas’ golden past.
Great video, Vegas needed this, but 2/3 of the space in the district are empty and you are paying Vegas price for the Street Food that are not much better than food court food. Don’t blame them, place was empty when I visited during a weekend, not sure how they break even, hope business pickup with more business events coming to town.
Our visit was on a Tuesday morning, before lunch, and it was definitely quiet in there - had no idea whether the weekends were busier. We also hope they succeed - we hate to see any resort here not do well.
Paula’s Kitchen? As always, great video. $3.00 service charge on the pizza? Thanks for updating about the tip Paula. When...(sigh) I get back to LV, I will be do some research and ask at restaurants before ordering.
That was not a service charge, it was my tip. It looks VERY wonky on the receipt, and several of you have mentioned it, so I did pin a comment to the video. Don't want to give the pizza parlor a bad rap - it really was my tip.
Hi Paula & Dale! My furst time visit to Vegas closes up and I plan ahead thanks to your excellent videos! On question regarding Resorts World: is the Vegas Loop system to Convention center already working? best, and keep up with these very helpful tips!!
Yes it sure is - the 3 stops at the Convention Center were the first to be completed, and then the Resorts World stop became operational at the end of 2022.
@@DaleMcKenzie awesome! will definitely try it this August that I'l be in town. Thx a lot for the info, take care and once again very thankful for the videos, I feel like a Vegas pro already! 😃
Well, when Paula went there is was early in the morning we were both impressed with the place. I think they are going to do very well… especially when the Fontainebleau opens. The north strip is going to be the place to be. 😊❤️
just home and was in that theatre to see katy perry it was amazing but unfort it went downhill after as i got covid and spent 4 days in bed in ballys shivering i had it bad im ok now as im back home but i would not wish that virus on anyone it takes a lot out of you if you get bad symptoms.stay safe u2
Ohhh noooooo - that is horrible! Horrible to get Covid anytime, but more horrible to get it when you are literally thousands of miles from home. Please take good care of yourself!
Cannot disagree....although...the more established Strip properties are bursting at the seams these days. People are so anxious to make up for lost time, they are paying the bigger prices...
It wasn't a service charge, it was my tip. I have NO idea why it appeared so wonky on the receipt - I did pin a comment to this video explaining that, because you aren't the only one who noticed.
No, I didn't, I postponed it. We actually talked about that in a vlog, I think at the end of July. Did not like the state of the economy, prices, inflation...not a good time to walk away from a good job.
You have yet again done an excellent job. But I have to say the same thing I did when you did your first Resorts World video. It looks like a big mall. I just do not feel any charm or any uniqueness other than the size and perhaps combination of so many high end places. Some of my reaction may be generational, as this seems to be a direction the Strip is heading, and maybe it really appeals to younger visitors. But I have also been hearing that Resort World has not been doing as much business as was hoped, so maybe I am not the only one that fears the transition away from charming themes towards corporate blandness.
I'm not sure what the average Las Vegas traveler wants or will want in the future, but if crowds are any indication, the resorts that have strong themes do REALLY well, in terms of foot traffic. Caesars...always packed. As much as Luxor and Excalibur are maligned, there are always lots of people in them. Venetian...packed. So I'm not sure it's generational, I think it may be sort of universal.
I decided to postpone - we actually talked about it in a vlog in July, when we made the decision. It's not a good idea to walk away from a good job, when inflation and the cost of everything are skyrocketing...
No, actually that was my tip. It looks funny on the receipt, and I did pin a comment to this video about it, because others have commented on that too.
Viva had to be the worst food we had ever eaten. It was so bad I could not even stomach the smell on the one dish and sent it back. The couple in the hightop booth next to us said they did not enjoy their food that night either. We are not impressed with Resorts world and doubt we will ever go back.
This is upsetting - we wish everyone who visits Las Vegas would have great experiences, and want to come back! We hear mixed reviews about Resorts World too - part of the reason for wanting to go back and walk through again. We appreciate you sharing your experience with us, and our viewers.
I would love to visit this place but they don't wanna take my cash for food and drink. They'll take it to gamble with of course! So until they start taking my cash for something to eat, I will venture elsewhere.
Good to see changes because resorts world was VERY HEAVILY asian influence. I get the investors are 90% Asian but you have to have diversity. I would never visit or stay there and I don't see them making it another 2 years without significant change. Great vlog as usual ♥️
Thank you for watching, we appreciate it! It is not really Asian at all these days, I'm not seeing it. As for the crowds, the foot traffic - they do have some plans for the holiday season that might get the people inside. We wish them well.

Thank you Donna, what a lovely compliment! 🥰
Wonderful content. Great video, you make it look easy but I am 100% sure it is not. The effort really shows in your awesome videos. Thank you for helping to create a happy Sunnday morning for us!! Take care you 2! ❤️
Aww Ginger, that is such a lovely thing to say, thank you. It isn't easy, it's work...but we love doing it, or we wouldn't do it... 🥰
Wonderful content idea, I was wondering how they improved the experience since opening day , great video
Thank you so much for tagging along on the walthrough 😊
Love you guys!
And we love you back, Fernando - always lovely to hear from you! 🥰
PS: really looking forward to next week's staycation.
It's ready for ya, we just uploaded and scheduled it...hope you like it. 😊
Resorts world is a very nice casino hotel.
Vegas people just like Peperoni Pizza for some reason...even when they eat buffet
LOL well I wouldn't know about that...I only know that pepperoni pizza is the ONLY kind Dale McKenzie will eat!
more informative than others for sure, didn't know about crossroads kitchen since I only eat halal and that would be a good to know.
Have you been to the neon museum? Loved it. 😊
Why are the sports bars called sports book in Las Vegas? I appreciate seeing the displays all over the Strip of photos, the lights saved, nods to the bosses who ran Las Vegas betting, etc. in Las Vegas’ golden past.
They are sports books because their primary purpose is for “bookmaking” - i.e. betting on the games, races, etc. 😊
When...(sigh) I get back to LV, I will be do some research and ask at restaurants before ordering.
wow, prices are out of control in Vegas. Where do regular everyday normal people go? Everywhere is ridiculous.
@@retromoviefan944 FIIK. I think I'll give it one last go to complete my LV bucketlist, then I'm done.
How are they doing there I hear they are still very slow?
A lot more has opened up there since you last covered Resorts World
Definitely - that is why we wanted to go back and have a look.
Hi Dale & Paula, are we having fun yet? LOL
Hmm, well, Bill...not sure what you mean by that, but I always have fun doing resort walkthroughs 😊
7.50 for a slice of pizza ? That's a lot it looked like regular ass pizza 🍕
How much was the loop?
❤️
With the current economy I hope that the owners have deep pockets $$$$$$$$$$$ to keep these places going. Take care guys, Mike
Cannot disagree....although...the more established Strip properties are bursting at the seams these days. People are so anxious to make up for lost time, they are paying the bigger prices...
Why was there a $3 service charge for a pizza slice and tea
😂, I was about to ask that too!
this whole place looks like a ghosttown, they obviously are not very popular.
It wasn't a service charge, it was my tip. I have NO idea why it appeared so wonky on the receipt - I did pin a comment to this video explaining that, because you aren't the only one who noticed.
@@retromoviefan944 To be fair, it was a Tuesday morning around 11 am when I walked through with my camera. Not sure how it looks on a weekend...
Are there any shows in this hotel??
Yes, there is fabulous top-notch entertainment! We covered that in the vlog 😊
Paula did you retire? I noticed you said you had to get back to work when you were eating pizza.
No, I didn't, I postponed it. We actually talked about that in a vlog, I think at the end of July. Did not like the state of the economy, prices, inflation...not a good time to walk away from a good job.
No pizza for Dale... You don't film, you get NO pizza!
EXACTLY!!!! Humph...
Paula? Working Lunch? What happened to retirement?
I decided to postpone - we actually talked about it in a vlog in July, when we made the decision. It's not a good idea to walk away from a good job, when inflation and the cost of everything are skyrocketing...
$3.00 service charge at Mulberry Pizza??????…..what gives???😰🤬🥺🥶
I don't like the FONTAINEBLEAU because anytime they start to work on it the economy tanks...
Hmm well I cannot disagree....the economy sure has tanked this year, hasn't it?
I would love to visit this place but they don't wanna take my cash for food and drink. They'll take it to gamble with of course! So until they start taking my cash for something to eat, I will venture elsewhere.
Yep, you are right - no cash at Resorts World. I forgot, actually pulled out a $20 to pay for the pizza, and they said they couldn't accept it... 😜
What are they building? @2:25
Honestly, no idea...couldn't figure it out, nor find any info
