  • After living in Waslala, Nicaragua with his family planting churches for 27 years, Pablo has been diagnosed with stage four kidney cancer. This interview was an opportunity for us to learn a lifetime of lessons from a life well lived.
Pablo grew up in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia and moved to Costa Rica as a child. After marriage, Pablo and his wife Euni were blessed with six children and moved to plant a church in Waslala, Nicaragua. Between 1995 and 2000 the Yoders experienced upwards of 40 robberies. As a lover of nature, he also writes about the colorful wildlife of Central America. He has written two books filled with colorful photos of Nicaraguan wildlife. Other books he has written include: The Long Road Home, The Work of thy fingers, My Father’s World, and The Death of a Saloon.

There are some people that when you read their books, you want to meet them in person. Pablo Yoder is one of them. Though I never met him on earth, I know I will see him in Heaven one day. Prayers for his family.

So encouraging to hear your faith is secure and these stories of dedication to God are a gift to us. Thank you Pablo. I remember your family singing "I'll Be Working the Road". We've seen you living whole heatedly for your Lord, and now how to gracefully die for Him. Praying for you all.
