    EXCELLENT video. Bless my parents, they taught me in the truth. I was raised in a house church, but fell away and found myself in mainline Baptist churches the past 20 years. I repented, and then walked into a Reformed Baptist church. I thought it was great because they emphasize the need for holiness, but they preach past, present, and future sins being blotted out, along with Calvinistic theology (which is hard to follow when you put all those together). I'm not sure where to turn, but I've considered going back to my parent's fellowship. Peace to you from Houston.

    Good teaching, I am very surprised to hear this in a religious bldg. NOBODY preaches on this, so called pastors say “oh it’s not for today” and it amazes me how many profess Christian women are DISOBEDIENT to head-covering. I have learned that when the LORD saves you HE strips you of pride and vanity and we absolutely need that. I remember the words of brother John, HE MUST INCREASE, BUT I MUST DECREASE. What prideful woman wants to decrease? Many women that profess CHRIST don’t love the LORD who shed HIS blood for them they are lovers of self just as 2 Timothy 3:1-2 says. They follow the ways of the world, the fashions of the world they don’t grow in godliness much less covering their hair THAT IS THEIR GLORY! We MUST cover our glory so that only the GOD’S glory is seen HE IS worthy of ALL praise and glory not you with your sensual hair REPENT, TURN TO CHRIST FOR THE REMISSION OF YOUR SINS!

    Great teaching. 1. Thank you especially for the insight regarding Adam Clarke. His lie becomes obvious through Genesis 38:15, where the same verb (G2619 ΚΑΤΑΚΑΛΥΠΤΕΤΑΙ) is used as in 1Cor 11, stating that prostitutes covered their face which obviously implies the top of the head as the support for the face covering. We would have long ago identified that lie if we would not have stopped using the Greek OT as handed over to us by CHRIST. Gen 38:15 "And when Judas saw her, he thought her to be a harlot; for she covered [Strong's G2619 ΚΑΤΑΚΑΛΥΠΤΕΤΑΙ, katakaluptetai, From G2596 and G2572; to cover wholly, that is, veil: - cover, hide] her face, and he knew her not." 2. But it comes close to legalism to add to the Bible to wear head coverings all the time. The speaker only provides a personal experience and another believer (Chrysostom) as reason, but lacks a biblical justification for this assumption. With the same logic, men would never be allowed to wear anything on their head. 3. Evil angels are probably not being meant, because we are not anymore in times where women are being abused through those. Angels rather refer to the prayers they receive and then are brought before Him, essentially providing a woman the same access to the Heavenly than a man has without head covering, by elevating the authority of a woman towards angels in those moments of prayer. See Mat 18:3-10, Luk 1:13, Rev 8:3-4, 1Tim 5:21 More biblical arguments (6 in total) for head coverings are found in the study on my website.

    "Christians tend to make two mistakes when thinking about church history. The first mistake is to ignore it or think it unimportant. this view forgets that the Holy Spirit has been working in the church throughout the centuries to gift " shepherds and teachers"( Eph. 4:11) so that they would guide and teach the church.... The second mistake is to idolize church history,. or at least some part of it. I have met Christians who seem to think as if there was some golden age of doctrinal understanding long ago, and our task today should be simply to" get back" to that understanding of the past, such as the views of the early church Fathers, or the early creeds of the church, or Augustine, or a Luther,or Calvin, or the Puritans, or Wesley. but this view can neglect the fact that our only perfect source of doctrine is the Bible itself, and no one in history has understood it perfectly. Rather Christ has been working in the church throughout centuries to "sanctify" it. so that at the end " He might present the church to himself in splendor, without spot or wrinkle or any such thing that she might be holy and without blemish."(Eph. 5:26-27)" - Gregg Allison, Historical Theology Forward pgs.1-2; I would like to point out, that there has been no person except God and Christ who has understood truth 100 perfectly. There is never been a golden age the people falsely believe that the church in understanding and doctrine had it all together.. not even the apostles. Acts & the Gospels confirm there lack of understanding. So I would like to kindly point out the false belief that there was a golden age of understanding truth has never existed and it's actually a form of idolizing.

    • @SoundFaithChannel
      @SoundFaithChannel 14 дней назад

      @jamesking8241 I agree that no one besides God himself knows everything. However, we can know all the doctrines of the faith. Jesus entrusted the apostles with his message and said that the Spirit would guide them into all the truth. So the apostles knew the doctrines of the faith at least by the end of their lifetimes. At Pentecost, they received the Spirit, who gave them a true understanding of what Jesus had been teaching. The only Christian doctrine that Acts suggests that the apostles were not aware of at that point was how and when the Gentiles would be brought into the church. But they learned that before they dispersed from the Jerusalem area and before any of them were martyred. The apostles wrote the doctrines of the faith into the New Testament, and gave them to their own followers. In the early years of the church, many false doctrines went around, but by the end of the apostles' ministry, they had a strong contingent of people who were firmly established in the true faith. Paul, for example, told the Ephesian elders that he had given them the whole counsel of God. Jesus tells the church in Thyatira, "Only hold fast what you have until I come." Later, of course, the church drifted from these teachings. So no human is perfect, and God is definitely working to sanctify the church. But that doesn't mean that we can't learn from those who were close to the apostles and to the years when the truth was firmly established in the church. -Lynn

    Im not saying its wrong in the interpretation of verse 16 as you and others state, "no other churches are being continuous, so you shouldn't be. " my paraphrasing of course. I don't see Paul telling them not to be continuous because no other church is, i see Paul making them do some self examination. Its kinda like when Jesus was telling his disciples that one of them was going to betray him, then they started asking, "Is it me Lord, am i the one?" We must remember that one of the main reasons Paul wrote this letter is because the church in Corinthian was being continuous! We see that in the first chapter. Therefore by him pointing out that some seem to be continuous it caused them to do some self examination. "Is it me Paul, am i the one being continuous?" Furthermore if they want to continue being continuous about this then it doesn't matter then we don't have any such custom. Just disregard everything I said and it doesn't matter. Paul was getting to the heart of the matter. Just my thoughts on that verse.

    • @SoundFaithChannel
      @SoundFaithChannel 14 дней назад

      @dellRussel-dl1qt Paul prefaces the section by highlighting the importance of following the teachings the apostles had handed down, and he is very adamant throughout this passage about the truth of what he's saying. So I don't think it fits well to suggest that he ends up by saying, "But it's okay to ignore this." Instead, I think it makes the most sense to interpret that verse to mean that anyone who is contentious with what he's presenting has no apostolic tradition and no church to back him up. Because the teaching/tradition of the apostles is this head covering teaching. -Lynn

    Jesus and the disciples ate the last supper on the 14th day of Nissan, when the Passover lamb was to be killed. Once this fact is established, no one can legitimately deny that Jesus broke unleavened bread for his disciples. No one can claim that a contradiction exists between John’s timetable and that of the other gospel writers.

    i've been researching this topic for maybe 2 months now. i read 1 Cor 11 and just read over the headcoverings because i was taught that it wasn't necessary anymore due to culture differences. However the Lord convicted me about modesty several months ago and i've since changed my entire wordrobe to glorify Him over my body. Headcovering seemed to be the next thing He was asking me to do. The excuse of culture suddenly, at the Holy Spirit's guidance, didn't make any sense to me because the Word of the Lord surpasses the changing of culture. Jesus is the same yesterday, today, and forever! ❤ i have only recently begun headcovering, just under a week. i went to evening service a couple days ago and was nervous about it. i'm going to church tomorrow, as it is Sunday, and am nervous about it. People will start to notice and i am so concerned that i will lose friends over it, and possibly be told by an elder, "we don't do this here." Now of course, the latter situation is unlikely because my church isn't that type of church. i'm fully aware it's my flesh and the enemy spinning worse case scenario stories 😅 Nevertheless, i am worried i'll be mocked as being some religion, or be told i'm putting myself under the law in a legalistic manner, or something or other. i have never seen any woman cover their head at my church so i have nooo idea how this will go down. Anyway, thank you SO incredibly much! These videos were answers to my prayers! i asked the Lord for wisdom and guidance on how to answer when the time comes that i'm asked! Even if i lose friends or find hardship in this, i desperately want to honour the Lord, draw nearer to Him, and i know He has asked this of me. Who am i to say no to my Saviour? 🥰❤️🙌🙏

    1 Corinthians 11:15 tells me as a female my long hair is my covering and is a glory. So as a Christian, I don’t have to wear a head covering to reach Christ or be presentable to a congregation like false religions require like Islam and Hindus or cults like Catholicism. Think about the religions and cults that DO mandate female head coverings. It’s legalistic and the Church is not under the Mosaic Law. We’re under Grace and nothing can be ADDED to what Jesus did on the cross to put a barrier between Him and me 💜

    • @SoundFaithChannel
      @SoundFaithChannel 29 дней назад

      @HarpazoReady2022 You may not be aware, but the idea that long hair is the covering is a relatively recent idea. Since the beginning, Christians who have natively spoken Biblical Greek have realized that Paul is simply making an analogy to prove that one should wear a cloth head covering, not saying that the hair is what he has been speaking of all along. In fact, Paul even uses a different Greek word to say that the hair is a covering (peribolaion) than he uses when speaking of a covering throughout the passage (katakalypto). -Lynn

    • @HarpazoReady2022
      @HarpazoReady2022 29 дней назад

      @@SoundFaithChannel Ok, I wasn’t aware 1 Corinthians 11 was written recently. I thought it was written by Paul in the 1st century around 55-60 A.D. 1 Corinthians 11:15 “BUT if a woman have long hair, it is a glory to her: *for her hair is given her for a covering.”* That’s not an “idea” as you said. That’s scripture. Hair is the covering. The original Greek states literal hair. We don’t spiritualize or allegorize this. If Paul wanted to do that, he would have said “LIKE hair.” 1 Corinthians 11 explains men don’t wear head coverings & a woman’s hair IS her covering. Verse 16 explains man may disagree with that, but Paul states *we have no such CUSTOM, neither the Churches of God.* This ends the debate. You may disagree, but God has the final say. Jewish Law requires head coverings for both men & women. And Paul was telling them they no longer have to do that as a Christian. The Church has no such custom. This is why Jewish men today wear a kippah. They’re practicing Jews under Mosaic Law- under the Torah. But Jesus came & fulfilled the Law (Matthew 5:17). They aren’t Christian’s. So I wear my “head covering” everywhere I go with my long hair. Stop being legalistic over females because Christ isn’t. I don’t follow the culture. I’m not Jewish. I’m not Islamic. I’m not Catholic. I’m not a Mennonite. I follow what the Lord says in His Word. My hair IS my head covering. Since you want to make an analogy out of this verse to fit it in with the culture, you apparently take an eisegesis approach to scripture, which means you read into it what it doesn’t say. I take the exegesis approach of taking *from* scripture. This explains why you have no videos on the Harpazo of the church, Christ’s 1,000-year earthly rule and reign during His upcoming Kingdom on earth or Gods plan of salvation for Israel in the last days. God Bless 🌸

      @HarpazoReady2022 My point is that, just because a particular interpretation may seem like a possible interpretation to someone two millennia after the Bible was written doesn't mean that it's a good one. Before we come to conclusions about the meaning of a particular ancient Greek term or passage, it's good to research what native speakers of the language, who lived during that historical time period, heard when they read the passage. -Lynn

    I find your arguments compelling. There are however some church fathers who do believe Jesus had a beginning. I use to be affiliated with the watchtower but I don't believe Jesus Is a creature or Michael the Archangel. I believe Jesus is Divine like Jehovah and inherited his divinity From The Father. So he was begotten literally from The Father's essence but is still temporal. So he wasn't created from nothing. I do however in a sense believe in his eternal nature and that he is the eternal Word and reason within God but Begotten out of the Father when he spoke before anything was created.

    There is so much nonsense in this video. Luther was used mightily by God to bring the Gospel back to light in a world that was suppressed by the false teachings of the Roman Catholic Church. Salvation by faith alone doesn’t mean that followers of Christ bear no fruit. Jesus said believers and unbelievers are known by their fruit. Salvation by faith alone also doesn’t mean that you just throw out doctrine. Correct doctrine is correct belief in the correct savior. You mentioned that Jehovah’s witnesses have faith, but they have faith in a false Christ. They believe that Christ is a god and not the only God. Roman Catholics believe that faith initially saves you, but then you have to keep their rules in order to maintain your salvation. That’s heresy and heresy does not save, but it condemns. Also, Luther’s teaching against works righteousness was the exact same thing that Paul wrote against in Ephesians 2:8-9 and in Romans 3:20 when he says that nobody will be justified by works of the law. We are spiritually dead sinners who have no hope in trusting Christ unless God draws us to himself as Jesus said. Our will is in bondage to sin and we will always run away from God unless he comes to us and changes our heart. Another point you made is that Luther taught eternal security. How is eternal life actually eternal if one can lose their salvation? Jesus said he would lose none that the father gave him, speaking of his sheep, those who trust in him. I felt the need to debunk the main points of this message because true Christianity was majorly misrepresented.

      @fugitivemoses7515 I can't give advice in a situation that I don't know about, but here are my thoughts. At some point, it may be necessary to separate from such a person, especially if they are making it hard for you to live your Christian life. Yet as much as possible, we should use such people as an opportunity for us to grow in our character of kindness and forgiveness. -Lynn

    Sound Faith Ministry, I respctfully disagree with certain part of your teaching. At the 20:10 stamp mark you say "your past sin not your future ones" are forgiven and you claim it is not historic faith. What we find is that the Bible speaks of our forgiveness of sin as having been already completed. The result is that believers now have the status of being saved having no more condemnation. In order for this to be true, all our sins must be forgiven including future sins that haven't yet been confessed. Secondly, When we accept Jesus as our Savior, God forgives all our sins: past, present, and future. Forgiveness comes as a total package; God does not forgive us partially but wholly. The believer in Christ can say, “My future sins are forgiven” for these reasons: • When Jesus died, all of today’s sins were yet future. Jesus did not die only for the sins of people who lived before Him. He died for the sins of the whole world (1 John 2:2), including the sins of those who lived after Him. • If our future sins are not forgiven, then two things must happen: 1) when we sin in the future, we revert to an unforgiven state, meaning we lose our salvation and must be saved again, and 2) Christ must die again to cover the sins we’ve committed since His last death. Neither of these scenarios is biblical. We are kept by God, and thus our salvation is secure (John 10:28-30); and Christ died “once for all” (Hebrews 10:10; cf. Hebrews 7:25). I have more reasons to it, and I think this is sufficient for the time being. Any coments please. Thank you.

    • @SoundFaithChannel
      @SoundFaithChannel Месяц назад

      @93556108 Thanks for your comment. I'll try to respond to your points. I can see how these arguments would make a lot of sense. However, we never in Scripture find it specified that all our future sins are forgiven when we come to Christ. Instead, Scripture teaches us that if we don't live for God, he will not forgive our sins (Matt 6:14-15, Heb 3:12, 6:6). That means that our future sins have not yet been forgiven. To understand why these arguments don't work, let's look at a real life example. Suppose John sells fruit. On Monday morning he gets in a shipment of watermelons, since he didn't have any until then. Then he checks his email and finds Steve emailed him on Friday asking to buy all his watermelons. John sells the entire shipment of watermelons (all his watermelons) to Steve. This sale has now "been already completed." But does that mean that Steve has purchased all the watermelons that John will ever buy? Of course not. The sale "comes as a complete package." Steve did not buy part of John's stock of watermelons; he bought all of it. But does that mean that Steve has bought all John's future watermelons? When Steve sent the email on Friday, John didn't have any watermelons, so the watermelons were still in the future. Does that mean that Steve bought *all* watermelons in the future? No, it means that Steve bought all the watermelons that John had when John accepted the offer. The analogy is not perfect, of course. But what it shows is that we can't just use these arguments to prove once saved always saved. Instead, if eternal security is true, we will actually need Scripture to explicitly teach us that. We can't just assume that "all sins" means "all future sins" instead of "all sins that you have committed." You said, "If our future sins are not forgiven, then two things must happen: 1) when we sin in the future, we revert to an unforgiven state, meaning we lose our salvation and must be saved again, and 2) Christ must die again to cover the sins we’ve committed since His last death. Neither of these scenarios is biblical." Not at all. When we sin, we don't automatically lose our salvation, especially if the sin is a small one. All we need to do is repent of our sin and return to faithfulness to Christ, and we are just fine. But of course, if we commit sins such as Paul mentions in the list of people who will not inherit the kingdom (1 Cor 6:9-10, Gal 5:19-21), we are no longer saved. However, God is eager and willing to take us back as soon as we repent. Christ doesn't have to die again--he has died once for all. His atonement is enough for any sin. But for any sins that we do not repent of and that we continue in, we won't be forgiven until we repent. Scripture and the early church teach clearly that we can lose our salvation. These are some of the passages that very straightforwardly teach this: Matthew 13:20-21, Matthew 24:10-11, John 15:1-6, Romans 11:17-22, 1 Cor 10:8-12, Col 1:21-23, 1 Tim 4:1, Heb 3:12, Heb 4:11, Heb 6:4-6, Heb 10:26-29, James 5:19-20, 2 Pet 2:20-21, Rev 2:5 I hope this helps. God bless. -Lynn

      @@SoundFaithChannel ---I agree there is no explicit verse stated our future sins are forgive likewise the Holy Trinity too was not specified. That doesn't mean its not true. ,,,,,You quoted Mat6:14-15 talking about if we forgive others sins then the Father will forgive us. If we don’t then our Father won’t forgive us. Obviously, it has nothing to do with our future sins have not been forgiven yet… ,,,,,you quoted Heb3:12 is alluding to them having an evil heart of unbelief in departing from the living God. Again our topic of discussion as you alleged “"your past sin not your future ones" are forgiven and you claim it is not historic faith.” which has nothing to with this verse… .... Heb6:6 too is talking of unbelievers departing which is not our topic of discussion either..… Thus these verses doesn’t support your notion “ That means that our future sins have not yet been forgiven.”… .....I believe in your teaching on salvation but at 20:09 mins stamp mark you say, I quote “Baptism today your past sins are forgiven not your future ones” which I respectfully disagree, If a person is a Christian then all sins are forgiven , past, present and future. .... . Further , the time factor of sins of the past and present is really irrelevant when it comes to this question because God’s knowledge is not bound by time as our minds are. God, who is infinite, exists in the eternal “now.” He sees all and knows all without regard to time (Psalm 139:16).. The issue is whether Jesus’ sacrifice could cover all of humanity’s sins. Since He is God, His value is infinite. Therefore, if a blood sacrifice can atone for all our sins, the sacrifice of Christ is of infinite value and can atone for all sins. As God incarnate, His value is infinite. That should cover our sins, past present and future. …..Of course all your future sins have already been forgiven! It’s impossible for them not to have been forgiven. When Jesus died on the Cross, He didn’t just die for your past sins, he died for all your sins and that included your future ones. All of our sins where in the future when Jesus died so if the Cross didn’t include your future sins then none of your sins are forgiven and you’re on your way to hell. No, when we believed in Jesus we received the complete gift package of total forgiveness of all of our past, present and future sins. This is either true or it is not. Read this verse; Heb 10:12 But this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down on the right hand of God;” …. …..Now if our future sins are not forgiven, how do you account for the forgiveness of our present sins? because when Jesus was on the cross and our present and future sins were still in the future to him? .....Further at the 23:58mins mark you say “These people had already believed and repented but their salvation was not complete until they got baptized. PLEASE ADVIS E ME THAT YOU BELIEVE THAT BAPTISM IS A CONDITION FOR SALVATION? .....You quoted Joh3:5 born of water and spirit alluding to physical water baptism which I beg to differ as Nicodemus won’t understand yet the post-resurrection sacrament of water baptism. It’s more precise it refers to the OT practices The question to ask is this: where do “water” and “the Spirit” come together in the Old Testament in a context that promises a new beginning? There are several possibilities, but the most obvious is Ezekiel 36:25-27., …FYI firstly I am contending with your claim “our future sins are not forgiven” and not about whether one could lose our salvation as you proposed now. Anyway this dilemma it hasn’t been solved yet and can we settle it before we moved on. I will answer later your request as related to your quoted verses on whether a person can lose their salvation? Thank you.

      @93556108 Thanks for the reply. As my analogy about John and his watermelons shows, the statement "all your sins are forgiven" does *not* necessarily mean that all past, present, and future sins are forgiven. Instead, we need to look at the context to see which sins are being referred to, and the context never indicates that they are future sins. So your argument is based on a mistaken assumption. We shouldn't read Scripture in a slavishly literal fashion. If we did so, all sorts of problems would occur. For example, Mark 16:8 says that the women who came to Jesus' tomb said nothing to anyone. But Matt 28:8 indicates that the women told the disciples about what they saw. Is this a contradiction? No, because Mark didn't mean that the women never said anything about it, past, present, or future, but that they said nothing about it while they were fleeing from the tomb. -Lynn

      @@SoundFaithChannel First you claim that there is no Bible verse stating that our future sins are forgiven. Let me put it to you that there is no Bible verse stating that only our past sins are forgiven too! correct? But there is a Scripture that clearly states, “In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins (plural tense), according to the riches of His grace” (Eph. 1:7). The reality is, when Jesus died on the cross two thousand years ago, all our sins were in the future. ...In the original Greek text, the verb for “have” is in the present tense, which indicates durative action, meaning we are continually having forgiveness of sins, including every sin we will ever commit. ...Furthermore, 1 John 2:12 says, “I write to you, little children, because your sins are forgiven you for His name’s sake.” The Greek perfect tense is used here for “are forgiven,” meaning this forgiveness is a definite action completed in the past, with the effect continuing into the present. This means that God’s forgiveness avails for you in your present, and continues into your future. ...Let me give you another clear Scripture that states that all our sins, including our future sins, have been forgiven: You were dead because of your sins and because your sinful nature was not yet cut away. Then God made you alive with Christ, for he forgave all our sins. He canceled the record of the charges against us and took it away by nailing it to the cross. -Colossians 2:13-14 NLT Jesus forgave all our sins! The word “all” in the above Scripture is the Greek pas, meaning “every kind or variety . . . the totality of the persons or things referred to.” It refers to “all, any, every, the whole.” So “all” means all. God’s forgiveness of our sins covers every sin-past, present, and future! When we received the Lord Jesus as our Savior, we received the total and complete forgiveness of all our sins. ....Let me ask you a question. Since you claim our future sins were not forgiven then how biblically are you going to get it fogiven? Appreciate your comments. Thank you.

    Having never heard Protestant teachers say the kinds of things you accuse them of (especially in your needlessly incendiary graphics) I would simply offer my perspective on 4 of the Solas based on applying scriptures to understand Ephesians chapter 2. Ephesians 2:4 But God, being rich in mercy, because of the great love with which he loved us, 5even when we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ-by grace you have been saved- 6and raised us up with him and seated us with him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, 7so that in the coming ages he might show the immeasurable riches of his grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus. 8For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, 9not a result of works, so that no one may boast. 10For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them. By Grace alone, that is to say only by the unmerited mercy of God. For herein is love, not that we loved God but that he loved us(1John 4:10) Through Faith alone, for without faith it is impossible to please God (Hebrews 11:6), whatever is not of Faith is sin (Romans 14:23), and by Faith our hearts are cleansed (Acts 15:9) In Christ alone, for there is no other name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12) To the Glory of God alone for He will not give His glory to another (Isaiah 48:11) and we are created in Christ Jesus for good works to glorify the one who thus creates us because we show by our good works that Christ is living in us (Gal 2:20)

    Justin Martyr seems to have suffered from a similar spirit of arrogance as his Jewish opponents, to the point that he was at least borderline antisemitic. Irenaeus is far more biblical in his approach, and more humble and logical. Based on my own studies, biblical sacrifices within a covenant are gifts, not payments. “‘Whoever swears by the altar, it is nothing; but whoever swears by the GIFT that is on it, he is obliged to perform it.’ Fools and blind! For which is greater, the GIFT or the altar that sanctifies the GIFT?” Mat. 19:18-19 “So if you are offering your GIFT at the altar and there remember that your brother has something against you, leave your GIFT there before the altar and go. FIRST be reconciled to your brother, and THEN come and offer your GIFT.” Matthew 5:23-24 Atonement and sacrifices are to be understood as relational/covenantal, not legal/contractual: “Gather to Me My saints, who made a covenant with Me by sacrifice.” Psalm 50:5 Generally, the animal offered was also eaten. This was also a part of fellowship and reconciliation. The smell of barbequed meat is often referred to as a smell of sweet savor to God - he was the honorary guest to the meal. A sacrifice is only legitimate AFTER dealing with sin problems: “You will not delight in sacrifice, or I would give it; you will not be pleased with a burnt offering. The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit; a broken and contrite heart, O God, you will not despise…THEN will you delight in right sacrifices, in burnt offerings and whole burnt offerings; THEN bulls will be offered on your altar.” Psalm 51:16,17,19 Also, Isaiah 1:11-18

    Well, I can fullheartedly agree. The good shepherd gives his live for the sheep and is not always welcome. He has his sheep on his heart. To be a shepherd is the most valuable task a man can have. Nowadays people go around like sheep who have no shepherd. Nobody wants to do this ministry and nobody can do this ministry but only a shepherd! Christ: I am the good shepherd the good shepherd gives his life for the sheep. I am the good shepherd, and know my sheep, and am known of mine. Paul: For none of us lives to himself, and no man dies to himself. For whether we live, we live unto the Lord; and whether we die, we die unto the Lord: whether we live therefore, or die, we are the Lord's. For to this end Christ both died, and rose, and revived, that he might be Lord both of the dead and living. For such a ministry we have to be a minister of the new covenant. Who also has made us able ministers of the new covenant; not of the letter, but of the spirit: for the letter kills, but the spirit gives life. May God bless you in your service as a good shepherd in the tradition of Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, all the prophets, Jesus Christ our dear Lord and Saviour, the apostles and all those holy men who were able and willing to do this great service.

    In general, I agree with your message. However, I would suggest a closer look at the texts and the real-life scenario of the times in which the statements were made. There are two different words used in the Matthew texts, both of which are translated as “divorce”, but they are not the same. One word is “apolysē” (Strong’s 630) and means to send away, or to dismiss, as when Jesus dismissed “apolysē” the crowds in Mat. 14:22. The other word is “apostasiou” (Strong’s 647) and more specifically means divorce in the full legal sense. The first, “apolysē” (Strong’s 630), does not necessarily include the second, “apostasiou” (Strong’s 647), and that is what Jesus is pointing to. Men were apparently simply sending their wives away (like the Romans did), throwing them to the street, and not taking the step to formally divorce. In these cases, the wife was still legally married but had been thrown out and her only recourse in that society was to shack up with someone for personal survival or live in prostitution, as it was not normal for a woman to live alone. This dismissal without papers is why Jesus BLAMES THE MAN for causing her to commit adultery - he shares fault with her for not having taken the proper step of granting full divorce. 7 They said to him, “Why then did Moses command to give a roll of divorce (with divorce papers) [St. 647] AND send her away [St. 630]? [Notice these are TWO steps.] 8 He said to them, “Moses, in view of the hardness of your heart, allowed you to send away [St. 630] your women. However, from the beginning it was not this way. 9 Now I tell you that whoever shall send away (with no divorce papers) [St. 630] his woman except for porneia [which grants divorce] and marries another commits adultery and he who sends away (with no divorce papers) [St. 630] commits adultery. Matthew 5:31 Furthermore it has been said, ‘Whoever sends away (with no divorce papers) [St. 630] his wife, let him give her a certificate of divorce (with papers) [St. 647].’ 32 But I say to you that whoever sends away [St. 630] (no divorce papers) his wife for any reason except sexual immorality CAUSES her to commit adultery; and whoever marries a woman who is sent away (no divorce papers) [St. 630] commits adultery. [He is guilty because he forced her to find another man without having formalized the divorce.]

That also applies to much of the nasty history of the catholic Church. All I can do is live with what I know now. And be thankful that Martin Luther managed to free the Bible from the control of the Catholic church and eventually allow every believer to have unlimited access. Of course that now puts a huge responsibility of us to do something with it and unfortunately most keep this treasure to themselves. Or use it for there own selfish purposes. Yep, its an issue with men, is it not? A scarf is benign compared with that! Its not pornographic to wear! A beautiful scarf is not a sin. Butt out, boys, and control yourselves. Show some respect to the ladies, and if you're lucky, we might cook a nice meal for you.
