The entire family thoroughly enjoyed your testimony!! It was an inspiration to hear how you took that first step with wearing the head covering, before you were fully persuaded. Continue serving the Lord with joy, and being a blessing to many in the years to come.
As an African it's just too natural for us to cover our hair, but I was nearly stoned in a white church trying to talk to them about head covering and holiness. My pastor told me they have replaced all those things. I was so sad, Holy Spirit then spoke to me loud 🔊 and clear 'Come out from amongst them ' I came out and there is freedom in worshiping God in modest way. God is Faithful Hallelujah 🙌
I am covering my head now as I came upon that scripture. I am the only one in my church who does so. I spoke with the pastors wife, and she agreed with me but still has not decided to cover her head.
@@carnivoroushoneybee7862 The truth is that most women either don't want to submit or they are embarrassed to cover due to vanity, or for fear of ridicule, or both. What God thinks is all that should matter to the believer. We need to honor Him and not worry what men think about us.
There are women who are legalistic about head covering who don't cover their heads for the right reasons. It's not about modesty it is about power on the woman's head because of the angels (when praying and prophesying). It is a symbol of authority on the woman's head, it is not a full time covering so that men cannot see the woman's glory. Head covering wasn't really an issue for nearly 2000 years, but since the sexual revolution, rebellion abounds, so it has become a contested issue. So today, if head covering is preached about at all, it is mostly preached against, and so it takes the Holy Spirit to convict those who have been taught wrong doctrine. He just doesn't convict anyone above what is written.
Unfortunately I have found that I am usually amongst the few in church that covers my head, I have been called a legalist for wanted to obey the word. It’s so hard, but I know the blessings that I have seen from it. I agree with your point that if we stand out against culture in our dress we can be used to make them feel close convicted about their dress. The true salt. That is part of my own testimony, I had a sister in Christ that wore a shirt in the pool and I at that time was a baby believer and I wore a bikini. I felt naked, and after that I begun dressing more modestly.
I've recently started while in church. I asked my Pastor how he feels about it. Pastor's response was first, what kind of Head covering. Then he told me just wanted me to understand that I don't have to. But sure, go ahead. So, I've went in with a hoodie on. I've ordered a couple hooded dresses. But yes, some people are noticing. I feel so strongly to wear one. My fiancee has passed, and my first husband has passed. But I still feel in prayer, I should have a head covering. Thank you for your comment, I super appreciate it.
One should not be mindful of such things as they are not of doctrinal importance. But one should be able to wear one or not. For neither does it make one the better or the worse.
I listened to this over a year ago. Now, I am re-listening to it again. I have been covering for over two years. I am the only woman in our mountain community to cover my head. I was curious why no one said anything to me about it. One friend finally told me that the people in our community (and our former church) just think I am "going through a phase" and to ignore it. Curious. My husband supports me and I feel it helps me to show respect to him. I love the example of how Christ honored his Father. My husband honors Christ and I honor my husband. Beautiful example ❤.
All the time unless my hair is wet. (I have very long, thick hair.). I find this also protects my hair when I am working on our little farm. Or when I am painting walls and ceiling (like I am this week). I have come to enjoy the head covering.
I think wearing a head covering is fine as long as one doesn't think one is doctrinal bound. I am curious why were you curious as to why no one said anything to you about it? You sound as if you wanted to start a conversation. If no one was bothering you about it then why did it matter? Since you mentioned that your husband supports you (which all well and good) is it not possible that you were looking for support from those in the church? Hope you are doing well and keep reading the Bible. God bless.
The head covering has nothing to do with God, holiness or modesty. Historically, head coverings were primarily worn for practical reasons, providing protection from the sun, heat, dirt, dust, mosquitos etc. While some were used for aesthetic purposes, they weren't initially religious symbols. Veiling as a religious practice has roots that aren't biblical and is often seen as a remnant of pagan traditions.
I love that he said “would God be upset if we put a head covering on? No. Would he be upset if we didn’t?” I honestly think that is a very good answer to the whole issue.
Thank you for this teaching.Jesus has been leading me now to stop wearing makeup and all jewelry and dress in modesty to obey this command to wear a head covering .The verse in 1 Corinthians 10 is amazing “For this cause ought the woman to have power on her head because of the angels.” I’ve been a believer for years now . I started head covering in obedience to our Lord Jesus I feel a protection from the Lord when I’m wearing my head covering from the fallen angels .I know that God has put protection over me and I’m able to discern when it’s the Holy Spirit leading me.Also I’ve been able to seek God daily with more reverence. This brings me more joy and love for our Lord Jesus ✝️
I found that when I covered my head and if I was praying, I felt much closer to God, I asked God if it was okay, and I never felt judged before him. I felt much closer, and this message just confirmed the need for me to cover my head 24/7. I love God and his presence.
Years and centuries of false teachings have resulted in a misunderstanding of the simple concept that men and women should look normal. God gave women a natural veil, which is her long hair.
Loved this teaching! My testimony is similar and I felt convicted to do it even though I didn't understand why and no one else was. I didn't know if I'd do it forever or just for a time, but I noticed I was much more aware of my behavior, how I treated others, how I interacted with my then husband, and I also began to desire dressing more modestly. I think it's interesting what John Calvin had to say (although I don't agree with much of his theology) about anything becoming permissible, which has been the truth, and I experienced the opposite putting one on my head. The history is hard to get around when you realize that women have always covered their head, sometimes all the time and sometimes just in church, but that the feminist liberation movement changed that and much much more.
i recently started doing it (4 days ago) and i’ve been soooo aware of my attitude, and my character as a women of God , thank you for sharing your testimony because i felt convicted to do so without fully understanding it all but i love what he said “ you don’t have to understand it to obey”
Given that head coverings have a rich history and common origins across cultures; they have primarily served as practical protection against the sun, excessive heat, dust, dirt, wind and insects. In arid desert regions, individuals wore multiple layers of clothing, including robust head coverings, as safeguards against the relentless heat. Historically, people utilized oils and a variety of natural ingredients not only to enhance their appearance but also to enhance the look of their hair. These head coverings were essential for keeping hair clean and protected from dirt and dust, helping to maintain a neat and tidy appearance. Additionally, women frequently adorned themselves with veils crafted from silk and other fine materials to enhance their beauty and appearance. Moreover, in ancient times, accessing clean water was a significant challenge, and regular hair washing was a far cry from the daily standard we often enjoy today. Such factors contributed to the widespread use of diverse head coverings. While these garments were functional, it is important to note that many were not originally intended for religious purposes. In fact, veiling as a religious practice has roots that are not biblical and is often viewed in contemporary contexts as a remnant of pagan traditions. So, to summarize, veiling or head covering primarily served practical reasons and was not necessarily a sign of Christianity or modesty, as many may think.
ALMIGHTY bless you all for being honest and sharing this, I went through a similar experience, the church I attend doesn't practice this and the worship music leader has long curly very distracting hair. I started covering mine even though everyone looks at me weird. I don't know what to do because I want to continue, the Holy Spirit is leading me to keep covering yet I feel super judged. Thank you!
Do it anyway. If you feel convicted to do it. Do it. You can not stand before God and so and so made you disobey. I say that to myself when i need to stand strong.
I have been brought to realise that it is important to cover my head. On and off through my life I played for head covering. And about 6 months ago it was impressed upon me that I should wear head covering by the Holy Spirit. And I feel blessed. 😊
I started covering my hair full time about 7 years ago and never looked back! I feel closer to the Lord and honestly I find my scarves quite beautiful as well! ❤🙏❤
Verses 5 through 7, as well as verse 13, of 1 Corinthians 11 use a form of the Greek word for "veiled", κατακαλύπτω katakalupto; this is contrasted with the Greek word περιβόλαιον peribolaion, which is mentioned in verse 15 of the same chapter, in reference to "something cast around" as with the "hair of a woman … like a mantle cast around". These separate Greek words indicate that there are thus two headcoverings that Paul states are compulsory for Christian women to wear, a cloth veil and her natural hair.
Amazing teaching!! The historical practice of head covering reveals what almost all of us modern Christians have forgotten. I was especially struck by the quote from John Calvin. Quite prophetic regarding the nudity and vulgarity which has become commonplace today.
Some have taken issue with the fact that the Greek word used for covering in verse 15 (περιβόλαιον) is a different word than the form of the word used for veiling/covering in verses 5-7 and 13 (κατακαλύπτω), the latter of which means "to cover wholly" or "to veil". Moderator of the General Assembly of the Free Church of Scotland, John W. Keddie, contended that if simply any hair were the covering Paul was talking about, then verse 6 would read "For if the women have no hair on her head, let her also be shorn", rendering the passage to be nonsensical.
@@Beliverkj6etI wear a head covering all of the time. I want to be in constant dialogue with my Father in heaven not just at special times and you never know when Father may ask me to pray for someone at the bus stop, on the train, in the supermarket aisle. Etc

When I go visit some of my relatives in the suburbs of Los Angeles/Orange County, CA (of all places!) there are a group of Churches in the area where ALL the women and girls wear these beautiful unique lace head coverings/veils that appear to wrap about the neck and sit upon the shoulders and hang against the back to Church. I've never seen the like. The women's clothing covers them from neck to toe, you literally can only see the front of their hair, faces and hands. Long sleeved untucked loose blouses, long voluminous floor length skirts, which are very unique and beautifully done actually! And their costumes/gowns look hand-made, not store bought. Men wear short hair with full beards and a tunic type shirt that has a high collar and long sleeves and it's tied with something at the waist and it even covers the whole of the crotch & buttocks area of their slacks ending right below their inseam, about 6-ish inches below the waist. Extremely modest and likely homemade. Little girls wear those classic old-fashioned nostalgic Easter-type fluffy dresses, with puff sleeves ending at the elbow, knee/tea length with tights, with a smaller lace triangle type veil, but it covers all their hair, except for the bit in front. These dresses appear store bought but who knows, maybe the Mother's are amazing seamstresses. Boys wear miniature shirts like their Father's and slacks. They seem a super wholesome and very attractive, happy looking ppl-- without being gaudy/flashy and their faces always seem to be shining with joy, if you happen to catch sight of them outside of the Churches. The kids playing and adults laughing and conversing. Men look very manly and women look very feminine. And there are many of them. There are a couple Churches in the actual neighborhood (which I pester to drive past!) of one of my relatives and apparently a few more scattered not too far away. And most shocking of all, the young women actually wear appropriate Church dresses! With modest sleeves and in longer tea lengths with the lace head coverings/veils that wrap about the neck. No décolletage showing whatsoever, but they still look pretty, stylish and young, and not frumpy at all! One young family lives on the same street as one of my cousin and he reports that they are Christian, but there are no crosses or signage on their plainly built Churches and apparently they are a Pacifist community, as well. And friendly, quiet and cause no problems. I see them all happily driving to their Churches if we're on the road during a certain time on Sunday mornings. You CANNOT miss them! I'm extremely intrigued by them, so I always peek from the window and look across the way when it's Church-time, to get a fascinating glimpse of everyone dressed Victorian-Era, departing. And the couple always matches-- with the husband's tunic-shirt being the same colour as his wife's ensemble. Also, when they wear all white, the women can literally be mistaken for a bride
What’s intriguing is that the New Testament does not mention any religious clothing; references to such garments only appear in the Old Testament, where they carried symbolic significance. This raises an important question: why engage in debates over practices that lack explicit mention in the scriptures? Perhaps we should focus instead on the underlying principles of faith and morality that both testaments convey.
@@sodaomgi7233what’s really intriguing is here you are again, seemingly commenting against modest dress. It probably didn’t need to be mentioned because women normally dressed modestly. That is no longer true. How about “you do you” and let the people who are convicted to keep their modest dress keep their modesty.
Modesty is about not going overboard with something. Covering your hair does not represent modesty, it is simply "covering your hair." Moreover, this practice is not biblical, if the head covering is done for religious practices, and is considered cult or paganism.

I became a member of the Orthodox Church in America 10 years ago. Some women veil, most don’t, which I recognize now, is deferring to culture. I have sons & grandsons, & I am most concerned about the ‘feminization of America’. Your presentation has helped me. I will be praying that our Bishops get on board. …. and I will begin to veil! Thank you!🙏🏻
I noticed that as well when I converted in an OCA church. I moved and the closest Orthodox church is ROCOR. The women veil here and dress modestly for service.
I know this is an older video so I’m sure not many will come back to look at comments. I’m married to a nonbeliever. I am saved and decided to start covering my head. I could really use prayer for my husband, philip, to accept Jesus into his heart. I desperately want to be equally yoked. I desperately want to live a godly life. My husband is in the military so we move all over a lot. Right now we are in North Dakota. I’ve been looking for a church to attend but so many are either all women or don’t seem like they have zeal for Christ. I would love to visit your church in person some day. Thank you for your prayers.
I know this was months ago but I hope you’ve found some peace. I was in your shoes years ago, I committed to God but my husband (Phillip as well) didn’t. He was a drug addict and unbeliever. God worked miracles and my husband gave his heart to God and is 6 years sober. It was not an easy journey. I wanted to encourage you to read 1 Corinthians 7:12-17. Especially verse 14. I hope you’re doing well.
Thank you for this study I have just recently been convicted to cover my head. It started with dressing in a way that was acceptable to God I used to ask God to help me choose what to wear as I had many different types of clothes from before I was a christian. So I did wrestle with GOD through this journey ,and still don’t know how to wear one properly or if I have to wear my head covering while not in church. Definitely I wear at church and at home while praying GOD BLESS EVERYONE 🙏🏾
This talk was thorough and well researched. Thank you for including a reference to the Catholic Church. You should know that a headcovering in church was explicitly required until 1983, but many people had fallen into 20th century cultural rebellion and quit doing it earlier. However, the practice of covering in church is returning, and if you go to conservative parishes or those where they still retain the historic worship (not the "reformed" version promulgated in 1969), you will see many, maybe most girls and women in veils. Thank you for reviving discussion on this teaching, and I agree with you that it is an aspect of right hierarchy in marriage and society. One last note: the rise in divorce and the loss of the headcovering surely are related, and while many Catholics are disobedient on divorce, the Church has always taught, since apostolic times, the same thing you guys are teaching today.
I was called in COVID19 to cover my head. I am reformed, but hardly a theologian. What I learned is that God does things to demonstrate His glory to the angels. That's why Job suffered. We are told to heed the angels when covering our heads. They are to witness the headship on Earth that is mirrored in Heaven. It was never about culture or fashion. I cover my head because my husband is my Head, and Christ is his Head.
@@debrawehrly6900 I don't think so. There is nothing in my statement that lends to worshiping a human. I suspect that you find the concept offensive. That's fine. But I reject your efforts to make me responsible for your feelings. To a Biblical Christian, everything must submit to God. If we are married, because God intends for married Believers to model the sacrificial relationship of Christ and His Church, God has clearly said that the woman should "submit" to the authority of her husband. That is a form of respect and honor. However, she is not to disobey God in her obedience. Therefore, God is the ultimate authority no matter how you view it.
We must remember many rules in scripture is to teach us to love our neighbors in this rule we see that we are to act and appear in ways that do not bring temptation to others just as we don't want people doing things around us that might tempt us to stray from Christ's path
I found it interesting that respect for marriage itself had gone downhill and a rising divorce rate when the veils were abandoned. Amazing how God knows what keeps order even something as simple as an obedience to head covering and the lack thereof as a decline in values. Incredible to see that subtle link
Thank you for this. I'm Catholic and attend the Latin Mass where women still veil. But with similar research I too decided to head cover full time as it just seems to be clear in both scripture and tradition. I too couldn't help but love that Calvin quote 😊
@Lisa Culbertson hi Lisa that's great! There's so many great videos on Christian head covering styles on RUclips. I'm favouring large folded square scarves at the moment ala folk peasant woman : ) are you Catholic too?
@Hannah Da Via Nice! I've thought about the same. I was a born protestant and still am but Catholicism brought my heart back to Jesus. I'd say I have Catholic leanings. I'm contemplating conversion, though I'd like my husband to join me.
@@lisaculbertson9909 Wow that is beautiful that Catholicism brought your heart back to Jesus! How? I was a late convert growing up with no faith but went to a Catholic school. After conversion to Catholicism I ran off to a Pentecostal Church but came back on my knees to Christ in the Catholic Eucharist (which so often is found to be Jesus' heart in Eucharistic miracles!). I understand re your husband. if he is a good Christian I can understand wanting to follow his lead. Mine was not Christian and for years I prayed and thought conversion would never happen until I entrusted him to Our Lady of Fatima. Mary only wants to bring everyone to Christ. All the very best for your covering journey (and Catholic). It is not always easy and watching others testimonies is so strengthening. In both cases! May God bless and keep you ❤🙏
Same here. Traditional mass and veil. I go to an SSPX chapel and they are very modest and conservative and most women do not wear pants-only skirts and dresses. They wear athletic skirts with built in leggings or shorts for active wear and very, very covered beachwear. But I can’t for the life of me figure out why we don’t headcover outside of mass. My guess is that prior to Vatican II, most women were wearing hats of some sort when they went out. So it really didn’t come up. I suppose now there is so much upside down in both the general culture and the Church, that maybe this is just something that has gotten missed. I go back and forth, but I always have a very safe feeling when my head is covered. It changes my demeanor too-as it reminds me of being in mass. I unfortunately have to work, and I’m a paralegal so I try to be “professional” while being modest and feminine and have been trying to figure out how to work that in. I found some nice tie on ones that just look like very wide headbands. I’m the only really religious person in my office, but my employer takes religious allowances very seriously. I am even allowed to take all days of holy obligation off. I doubt they would even say anything to me but if they did, they would be understanding. Even though I am of a different faith, I have been thankful for videos like these.
Thank you so much for this teaching! I really feel a peace when thinking about modest apperal at the beaches and the decency of not showing too much. I really agree on this topic, and I am so grateful for this teaching and insight. I do have a question that I have been wondering for a long time: How come women are to be silent in the churces when they are allowed to prophecy? I mean the only logical conclusion is that a woman can only pray and prophecy in small groups or to one on one. Can you help me with this one, since I would like to more firm in my understanding and standing in this topic? God bless you in the name of Jesus!
Good presentation thank you. The subject of head covering and ladies leading men in public prayer have often gone hand in hand. Have you also studied this part of Paul’s teaching and how universally this is no longer acceptable in churches
Thanks for this presentation. Why do so many believe a woman should always have her head covered, or have her head covered during the whole church service when Paul seems to be speaking about when she prays or prophesies?
@@SoundFaithChannel Just curious. The amish have their women cover all the time for this reason, but the men always wear hats in the field. Because you want women to always be ready, wouldn't you also recommend men to never wear hats? Doesn't seem consistent.
@@AliciaGuitar Take the Amish component out. If you want women to always be ready to pray, shouldn't the men also keep their head perpetually uncovered to be ready to pray (no hats)?
When women pray or prophesy, they should wear a head covering. This practice aligns with the instruction in 1 Thessalonians 5:17, emphasizing the significance of continuous prayer. Thus, the head covering should not be removed, as it symbolizes an ongoing connection with God.
Thank you for this presentation, it was really clear and it confirmed my own understanding of this text. It’s all new to me so I’m limited in my knowledge and practices. It was only last year that I started to read the Bible and was recently baptized. I was wondering about the style of head coverings. Is there a guidance to how it should be practiced outwardly? Should it be covering the long hair or all the hair? Is there a more “correct way” is what I would like to know. Thank you 🙏
@Anna God bless you in seeking to follow him! As far as I know, there aren't specific styles that are correct, although maybe Daniel can address that question in more depth sometime. There's significant variation in how Christian women follow this practice. However, my own opinion is that, if a covering is small enough that it doesn't cover a significant amount of the hair, it's hard to see how one could honestly call it a "covering." I don't think something needs to be completely covered in order to be said to be covered, but a significant amount of it should be. But that's my opinion, so take it with a grain of salt. To see the variation in how Anabaptists tend to practice the head covering today, you could look at the Shenandoah Christian Music Camp channel's videos. -Lynn
@@SoundFaithChannel Thank you so much for your answer Lynn. Living in Sweden, head coverings is not something you really see among the Christian women, so I don’t have that community around me to learn these things from. After reading my Bible, I came to the conclusion that a woman with short hair or head shaved should cover her head as it is a dishonor to God. By having long hair, women already has a covering, glorify God, and honor Him. Am I wrong? I would like to hear your perspective.
@Family Unity Thanks for the comment! I would suggest two things. One is that Paul says "For if a woman is not covered, let her also be shorn. But if it is shameful for a woman to be shorn or shaved, let her be covered." (v6 NKJV) So it seems that he sees almost the opposite as true--he seems to be saying, "If you won't cover your head, that's shameful enough that you might as well cut your hair off as well. But since you Corinthians recognize that a shaved head is shameful, you should also wear a covering because to pray and prophesy when uncovered is shameful." Second, the word Paul uses for "covering" when he says "her hair is given to her for a covering" is a different word than is used elsewhere in the passage. So it doesn't seem that he's equating long hair with the covering he was talking about before. God bless. -Lynn
I think the point St. Paul was trying to make about long hair is: you women love your long hair, that’s because it’s like a covering, therefore why object to a covering? You wouldn’t cut off your long hair. So keep the covering which is the only custom we know
This always got me. Is the whole passage just going through all kinds of styles to deal with the question, with a pinch of irony maybe, and then Paul says like "this detail just really doesn't make a big difference, judge for yourself, but WE do not have such custom".
Some individuals sought to introduce their own rules in the church, including the requirement for women to cover their heads with a piece of fabric. In response, Paul stated that these customs were not a part of his teaching or observed in other churches. He also provided a brief lecture on the significance of hair length, emphasizing that men should have short hair while women should grow theirs long.
“and a woman, if she have long hair, a glory it is to her, because the hair instead of a covering hath been given to her;” 1 Corinthians 11:15 YLT98
The YLT98 reads this way “and a woman, if she have long hair, a glory it is to her, because the hair for a covering hath been given to her;” Where did you get your version?
In the Orthodox Church women traditionally cover their heads. Look up videos of the Orthodox women in Russia, Greece, etc.... It's beautiful. Unfortunately, some women are choosing not to cover... And be modern. I love wearing a head covering.

What if the wife wants to but the husband is a nominal christian and does NOT want her to at all? Like he would divorce her because he thinks it is crazy.
@Natalie A That's a very tough question, and hard to answer. Perhaps she could at least wear it privately when she prays, and at any other opportunities she can find, but she could leave it off when she is with her husband. I think why women should wear the Headcovering is not necessarily to be submissive but because hair is beauty and very tempting for lust in men and vanity in women and because this we should cover it so not to tempt anyone with sinful thoughts and actions and our hair is to be only for our husband and honoring him by only allowing him to look upon it.
@878 4436 Do we judge what Paul says by our current cultural ideas or by the context he is writing in? @Salty Shield Maiden Good thoughts. God bless you in your journey. -Lynn
@878 4436 There's no need to repost FA's essay. She has already posted it multiple places, and I've replied to it already. Note that the Old Testament priests weren't Christians. And that the woman who wiped Jesus' feet could easily have taken off her head covering to do so. If we read about someone washing her hair, does that mean that she never wears a head covering? -Lynn
@878 4436 Of course they are to the same God. But the Old Testament is different from the New. Or do you believe we should still wear blue ribbons on our robes and refrain from pork? I don't think we've ever said that a woman must wear a head covering literally all the time, so I don't see why it's a problem if there are multiple contexts in which a woman might as well not wear one. -Lynn
You are never responsible for the thoughts or the actions of any man. My husband has said it several times that a man can lust seeing very little flesh or even if a woman is completely covered up. Hair is no more a temptation than any other body part.
We need to get back to the Bible and what it teaches. We have to denounce the pagan holidays of the world, we have to obey the Sabbath (4th commandment), and honor our roles. We must denounce the pagan trinity and get back to their real names. It’s all of it. 🙏🏻 HalleluYah! 🙌🏻

I agree with everything you said. Also we shall keep the ten commandments of God including the seventh day Sabbath the fourth commandmen “Remember to keep the Sabbath holy.........’ Exodus 20:8-11 .Ezekiel 20:20,12 Isaiah 58:13:14 the Sabbath is the seal of God in revelation 7 . In Daniel 7:25 God told us the little horn who is the papacy will try to change God’s Law. Exodus 31:16 the seal of God.
You seem to be ignorant of the actual history of the change from sabbath observance to Sunday observance. The following sets out the broad history, beginning with what Jesus and the apostles understood and tracks the changes that occurred centuries before there was a papacy. First, some context. The Jewish day went from sunset to sunset, not sunrise to sunrise or midnight to midnight. Hence, the first day of the week began at sunset on Saturday. Looking to the future, Jesus told his disciples to pray that when the abomination of desolation standing in the holy place, their flight not be on a sabbath (Matthew 24:15-20). Jesus clearly anticipated sabbath observance continuing until the end times. In Acts 20:7, the breaking of bread refers to the evening meal after the sabbath was over. Acts 20:11 confirms that Paul departed at daybreak the next day. Taken together, the clear implication is that Paul's intention was to depart on Sunday morning. When writing to gentile Christians in 48AD, the Council at Jerusalem noted: “from early generations Moses has had in every city those who preach him, for he is read every sabbath in the synagogues” (Acts 15:21), indicating the letter was being sent to sabbath-observing congregations. The Apostle Paul - the apostle to the gentiles - regularly observed the sabbath (Acts 13:14 & 42-44; 16:13; 17:1-2; 18:4-11). After at least 15 years’ Christian ministry, Paul declared: “Neither against the law of the Jews, nor against the temple, nor against Caesar have I offended at all” (Acts 25:8), meaning he still kept the sabbath. The offering referred to in 1 Corinthians 16:2-3 was not gathered during a worship service. Indeed, the text strongly implies that what was set aside was to be stored at home - not brought to the worship service for collection. For Jews, taking up collections at a sabbath service was (and still is) offensive. Although Romans 14:5, Galatians 4:9-10 and Colossians 2:16-17 are often used to claim sabbath observance has been abolished, it is far from clear that the sabbath-observing Paul was referring to the weekly sabbath in any of those passages. In Revelation 1:10, the reference to the Lord’s day does not mean Sunday. Once again it at most means after the sabbath was over. It may also be just another way of saying 'the day of the Lord'. The ISV translates it that way. It seems pretty clear, therefore, that throughout the NT, sabbath observance was practised and was expected to continue as a permanent observance. Even so, the earliest reference to Sunday worship comes from Ignatius in 110AD who wrote of Jewish converts: “no longer observing the Sabbath, but living in the observance of the Lord's Day” ( _Letter to the Magnesians_ 9). Similarly, the _Epistle of Barnabas_ (c.120) says: “Your present sabbaths are not acceptable to Me… we keep the eighth day with joyfulness, the day also on which Jesus rose again from the dead”. Many others also wrote of Christian worship on Sundays well before the 4th century; and of other Christians who continued to worship on Saturdays. Although Constantine made Sunday the official Roman day of rest, doing so merely reflected what was by then a widespread, centuries-old, majority Christian preference for worshiping on Sundays. And there was still no such thing as a Roman Catholic Church. The _whole_ church was 'catholic' in the sense of being universal. What later became the Roman Catholic Church and the various Orthodox churches were all the one church and all ratified the change from sabbath to Sunday worship.
Council of Leodicea Canon 29. Christians must not judaize by resting on the Sabbath, but must work on that day, rather honouring the Lord's Day; and, if they can, resting then as Christians. But if any shall be found to be judaizers, let them be anathema from Christ. Q. Which is the Sabbath day? A. Saturday is the Sabbath day. Q. Why do we observe Sunday instead of Saturday? A. We observe Sunday instead of Saturday because the Catholic Church transferred the solemnity from Saturday to Sunday." [ The Convert's Catechism of Catholic Doctrine, 1951 printing, page 50. ] And this: "You will tell men that Saturday was the Jewish Sabbath, but that the Christian Sabbath has been changed to Sunday. Changed! but by whom? Who has authority to change an express commandment of Almighty God? When God has spoken and said, Thou Shalt keep holy the seventh day, who shall dare say, Nay, thou mayest work and do all manner of worldly business on the seventh day; but thou shalt keep holy the first day in its stead. This is a most important question which I know not how you can answer. "You are a Protestant, and you profess to go by the Bible and the Bible only; and yet in so important a matter as the observance of one day in seven as a holy day, you go against the plain letter of the Bible, and put another day in the place of the day which the Bible has commanded. The command to keep holy the seventh day is one of the ten commandments; you believe that the other nine are still binding: who gave you authority to tamper with the fourth? If you are consistent with your own principles, if you really follow the Bible and the Bible only, you ought to be able to produce some portion of the New Testament in which this fourth commandment is expressly altered." [ Library of Christian Doctrine. Why Don't You Keep Holy the Sabbath Day? page 5. ] Thomaston, Georgia May 22, 1934 Pop Pius XI Rome, Italy “Sunday is our mark or authority...the church is above the Bible, and this transference of Sabbath observance is proof of that fact.” - Catholic Record of London, Ontario, September 1, 1923. Question. - How prove you that the Church hath power to command feasts and holy days? “Answer. - By the very act of changing Sabbath into Sunday which Protestants allow of; and therefore they fondly contradict themselves, by keeping Sunday strictly, and breaking most other feasts commanded by the same Church. “Question. - How prove you that? “Answer. - Because by keeping Sunday, they acknowledge the Church’s power to ordain feasts, and to command them under sin: and by not keeping the rest by her commanded, they again deny, in fact, the same power.” - An Abridgment of the Christian Doctrine, composed by Henry Tuberville, p. 58.
In the scriptures about the women covering her head, what exactly is "because of the angels" or "for the sake of the angels" referring to or referencing?
@NK Great question. As far as I know, no one is quite sure what Paul meant. Some have thought it means protection from evil spirits, and others have thought it's a good example to the angels. Sorry I can't be more helpful. -Lynn
I've heard a good explanation once by Dr Michael Heiser. But I can't remember how it was said. I believe he was referring to angels as in the Fallen Watchers who mated with the daughters of men as mentioned in Genesis 6 conspiracy. But don't worry, those angels are locked up until the day of Judgement. But the spirits of their offsprings are the ones you gotta to watch out for. They seek revenge against the women because they cannot obtain life to come. Off course, demons are the departed spirits of the giants of old.
i believe it has to do with the idea that angels are in the assembly as well as the holy spirit. i think it's somewhere in the bible but i am not sure of the scripture reference. it's a public statement of a woman's obediance to God.
It could also be a reference to the fact that the fallen angels did not take their place in the hierarchy of heaven and rebelled with Satan. Women are to be good examples to the angels and take their position in the world and accept their role.
This seems to be what is said in the Bible concerning angels and women: Gen 6:2 "the sons of God saw that the daughters of men were beautiful, and they took as wives whomever they chose." This causes me to wonder if hair is part of what they found beautiful about women?..., And should women then cover their hair so as to avoid tempting/being a temptation to angels, and also to other males? And should should women cover just some of their hair, like in the thumbnail of this video, or all of their hair? When considering what it means to be a good example to the angels, does it mean that once we are aware of what seemed to influence their fall, women should seek to avoid being a temptation to them, in such ways as covering beauty is a good example, not just to the angels but also to mankind?
havent yet watched the full video yet, but are you searching for a church that already exists? the one ancient and true church? i mean head coverings are just a given in orthodoxy.
@Estinfase kristos tube Thank you for your reply. I do know some Eastern Orthodox people who wear head coverings to church, but not all do here in the West. Many, so far as I know, don't wear them at all. Daniel did find a church that practiced the head covering. It is an Anabaptist church. -Lynn
Why not also follow the dietary commands of God? After reading leviticus and deuteronomy, wouldn't one come out saying they should not eat pork nor shellfish just as others came away saying women should wear a headcovering?
The dietary laws of the OT are undoubtedly healthy. However, they were specifically abolished in the NT. The head covering principle is reiterated in the NT, which means it is something that has carried over.
You must sift through a timeless moral law and what was given to the jews for their hard hearts. This isn't to be a coward and hide from the law and hate the law. Every Christian should read it because there is treasure in even the old laws, we pull out "treasures from our house both new and old". This might be difficult to comprehend right now but the answer to your question is found in the reason that the Jews had passover with unleavened bread and Christians have communion with leavened bread. Paul reminds us that the law is spiritual. And the dietary laws aren't the exception, they're the shining example. Notice that the men before Moses who are called righteous do not observe dietary laws. We are like them in this respect. The dietary law was a reaction and given to the Jews to teach them a lesson about themselves and the world. Modesty is a "timeless" virtue. I'm sure I sound like just another person screaming from a crowd of a million other different voices though. Everyone thinks they're right these days. However, I don't think I'm right, I think the early Christians were right. And I've dedicated my time to reading them in full. So I don't just shout my opinion like others, but provide the dignified perspective of the first Christians.
We needed to find a church that takes Jesus and his apostles seriously in all matters. We do not want to be the goats in the end. We also want our children to grow up in churches where no one is divorced and remarried. Where people loved their enemies. And so much more if you want to know more watch seek first his kingdom message.
@serominplaylists No one should. It obviously wasn't an issue otherwise we would have read something very succinctly in the Bible. Only sects or other branches of Christianity care about this, because of their interpretations,
1 Corinthians 11:16-18 KJV But if any man seem to be contentious, we have no such custom, neither the churches of God. Now in this that I declare unto you I praise you not, The Bible is what you should read King James Version your problem is you're following behind men that are not the apostles. The Bible is clear we don't have a custom that is why people do not wear head coverings. The Warhead coverings was to show others they were married now we have a ring that represents that, but either way the Bible tells us we don't have any such custom in none of the churches, so women do not have to wear their head covering unless their husbands want them to. The women who are single do not have to wear head coverings regardless of what you're reading from Men that are telling you Society is going to become in the future, like the divorces rate in the broken homes. The Bible also tells you that the world is going to wax it also goes in detail about things that's going to come. But when people stop following man and start following Christ this world would be a better place stop putting people in bondage because Christ would never do that you have to choose Christ, but you are making these men God you should be reading more scripture only who are making Heaven by only reading the Bible from the KJV you are holding women for your lust, instead of seeking help from God, Your following men that's why these issues never get a dress within you. But when you leave this life you're going to stand before the almighty God have to give account as to why you want to put bondage on his people instead of seeking help for your lust. I am a virgin waiting for marriage my brother was also a virgin waiting for a marriage he is now married and befor got married he went to beaches, he went to water parks. And whatever he was dealing with in his flesh, with whatever issues that he was battling and the same as myself, we had to take it to God in prayer and fasting because you need to go to Christ because when we are weak in the flesh God is the one that can take things from us or increase in us so that way we can overcome and become stronger in him but we have to be careful we do it the way that Christ tells us. Christ word tells us curse is he that put his trust in men. Bible tells us we have no such custom anything else is not of God pointing out all people's sins that need to come to Christ. Don't make women adjust to your lustful tendencies I pray that you seek truth from the word of God and ask God to give you understanding and I hope that you come out of pudding your trust in men. Because when you don't Then will you stray and will be deceived into thinking that you are doing the will of God in the will of God is not that you put bondage on any woman or man people belong to God please take whatever I'm saying to you to God because if you don't you will answer for it when you stand before God it will be too late. I do not wear my head cover and I received the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in tongues and many other gifts you have to go to God for your self and not man when you're talking to these Bishops and pastors and reading what they say that makes you a follower of man you have to read your word and have more conversation and a better relationship with God and the way to do that is the same way you started a relationship with a wife or friends or family is the same way you build a relationship with God almighty I pray God guide you and give you understanding I pray you continue and I pray that you seek more of God almighty and that he opened the eyes to your understanding.
Modesty is about not going overboard with something. Covering your hair does not represent modesty, it is simply "covering your hair." Moreover, this practice is not biblical, if the head covering is done for religious practices, and is considered cult or paganism.
14 Does not the very nature of things teach you that if a man has long hair, it is a disgrace to him What about Samson, from Samson and Delilah? His hair was a testament to the Lord and how God gave him his power. This is a bit confusing.
Good question. I think Paul is speaking generally, not intending to criticize the Nazirite vow. In the Old Testament, God instituted the Nazirite vow, which Samson followed from birth, for purposes specific to the Old Covenant. -Lynn
God told us the little horn the Antichrist in Daniel 7:25 will try to change times and Laws. Jesus said in Matthew 5:18-18 that he not came to change the Law but to fulfill. In revelation 22:14 is telling us who will go to new Jerusalem who comes down from heaven Revelation 21, Isaiah 65 revelation 12:17 and revelation 14:12 give us the characteristics of God’s really church the ones who keep the commandments of God and have the testimony of Jesus Christ. Amin!
Are you aware that that's a modern interpretation of Scripture unknown until recently? The native speakers of biblical Greek realized that Paul was making an analogy, not saying that a woman's only covering should be hair. -Lynn
.A good reply to their comment is to read Acts 7:47-52 Maybe the detractors also thought Stephen was thinking he was making a modern interpretation of the temple even though it was practiced for centuries.
@sofialozano7375 Good question. The reasons for covering that Paul gives in the passage apply both to single and to married people. (Creation order, the fall, nature itself, angels.) So we believe that this teaching applies to both. -Lynn
@godswarriors7543 1 Cor 11 says that men shouldn't cover their heads when praying. I think Paul is using "head" to mean two different things. Physical head and spiritual head. -Lynn
@@SoundFaithChannel And in Deuteronomy 6:8-9, we are told that all the children of Israel, both man and woman, should have the Ten Commandments between their eyes. Memorization doesn't work, as any head injury can take those away.
I don’t understand how people like him study the early churches (which we still have today and will be here until the end of times) but decides to have/open their own churches. This is the contrary of obedience, I see as pretty much prideful to have create a church of their own. So much is missing, one can’t have a real church unless it is one of the early churches. ☦️

@@SoundFaithChannel .. … A head covering can’t save you, Jesus had long hair because he was a Nazarene and we know Jesus didn't sin ! 1 Corinthians 11:14 “Doth not even nature itself teach you, that, if a man have long hair, it is a shame unto him?”
@R Toguidver I think you're mixing Nazarite with Nazarene. Jesus was from the city of Nazareth, a Nazarene. Jesus never took the Nazarite vow that I know of. -Lynn
@@SoundFaithChannel … The practice of a nazirite vow is part of the ambiguity of the Greek term "Nazarene" that appears in the New Testament; the sacrifice of a lamb and the offering of bread does suggest a relationship with Christian symbolism (then again, these are the two most frequent offerings prescribed in Leviticus, so no definitive conclusions can be drawn). While a saying in Matthew 11:18-19 and Luke 7:33-35 attributed to Jesus makes it doubtful that he, reported to be "a winebibber", was a nazirite during his ministry, the verse ends with the curious statement, "But wisdom is justified of all her children". The advocation of the ritual consumption of wine as part of the Passover, the tevilah in Mark 14:22-25 indicated he kept this aspect of the nazirite vow when Jesus said, "Verily I say unto you, I will drink no more of the fruit of the vine, until that day that I drink it new in the kingdom of God." The ritual with which Jesus commenced his ministry (recorded via Greek as "baptism") and his vow in Mark 14:25 and Luke 22:15-18 at the end of his ministry, do respectively reflect the final and initial steps (purification by immersion in water and abstaining from wine) inherent in a Nazarite vow. These passages may indicate that Jesus intended to identify himself as a nazirite ("not drinking the fruit of vine") before his crucifixion. Luke the Evangelist clearly was aware that wine was forbidden in this practice, for the angel (Luke 1:13-15) that announces the birth of John the Baptist foretells that "he shall be great in the sight of the Lord, and shall drink neither wine nor strong drink; and he shall be filled with the Holy Ghost, even from his mother's womb", in other words, a nazirite from birth, the implication being that John had taken a lifelong nazirite vow.… A hair covering won’t save you unless you follow all of the Law, which no one but Jesus was ever able to do..
@R Toguidver I think the Scripture verses you offered are good ones. As they show, even though there are similarities with Jesus' live and that of Nazarites, he wasn't a Nazarite because he drank wine. No one is arguing that coverings will save us. We simply believe that we should obey Jesus' and the apostles' commands. We're saved by Jesus' death and resurrection. -Lynn
I’m sorry you were subjected to that. The truth should stand regardless of color or ethnicity. Thank you for standing up for head coverings. ❤️
I'm the only woman in my church who covers. I'm covered all the time and I'm wondering if I will eventually told to stop. I will not stop!
I've recently started while in church. I asked my Pastor how he feels about it. Pastor's response was first, what kind of
Head covering.
Thank you for this.
One should not be mindful of such things as they are not of doctrinal importance. But one should be able to wear one or not. For neither does it make one the better or the worse.
The Feminine Dominate spirit. This has plagued me almost my adult whole life. I praise God for taking me in repentance.
@@dianaludwig6861 May I ask, are you covering all the time or only during the service in the church?
All the time unless my hair is wet. (I have very long, thick hair.). I find this also protects my hair when I am working on our little farm. Or when I am painting walls and ceiling (like I am this week). I have come to enjoy the head covering.
Covering for religious practices is considered paganism.
@@sodaomgi7233 I honestly don't understand how you came to that conclusion. Let's just agree to disagree and leave it at that.
God bless.
Head coverings has nothing to do with culture but the authority of God.
Totally! Whether we were taught about it or not, something behind it that seems true, spiritual and wholesome about it.
The head covering has nothing to do with God, holiness or modesty.
Historically, head coverings were primarily worn for practical reasons, providing protection from the sun, heat, dirt, dust, mosquitos etc. While some were used for aesthetic purposes, they weren't initially religious symbols. Veiling as a religious practice has roots that aren't biblical and is often seen as a remnant of pagan traditions.
ive covered my head sense ive read it in scripture and its helped me so much praise God
I love that he said “would God be upset if we put a head covering on? No. Would he be upset if we didn’t?” I honestly think that is a very good answer to the whole issue.
smh
Head coverings is not something mentioned in the Bible.
Amen. "Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.
" (Heb. 13:8)
John Calvin has a lot to offer.
Do you ladies cover just in worship services?

Even young women have to cover their heads. Wow this is really helpful God bless you.
You pic shows so much "ME!" and not humility.
Please take off the lipstick too.
Thanks for sharing brother! Very insightful. It is amazing how fast history can be forgotten(or hidden).
I wear a head covering permanently on my head as our church encourages us to pray and prophesy over people outside of Church
Do u put it when you are side too?? Every where u go or just when u pray.
@@Beliverkj6etI wear a head covering all of the time. I want to be in constant dialogue with my Father in heaven not just at special times and you never know when Father may ask me to pray for someone at the bus stop, on the train, in the supermarket aisle. Etc

Thank you! I have recently been convicted to cover my head and this was such a blessing!
Thanks to Jesus.
Thank you for all the work you put in to this topic. I've had on my heart to cover my head everyday but i don't want to come off "religious" or "righteous". It's winter time so no one is noticing I'm covering my head for my faith.
In winter you can just wear a hat - maybe in summer too? They are not viewed as "religious".
“Remember the Sabbath day to keep it holy...........” Exodus 20:8 “It is a sign between me and the children of Israel for ever.........” Exodus 31:17 “ Moreover also I gave them my Sabbaths to be a sign between me and them......” Ezekiel 20:12 “ And hallow my Sabbaths, and they shall be a sign between me and you........” in the new haven and earth will still keep the seventh day holy let’s read: “And it shall come to pass, that from one new moon to another, and from one Sabbath to another, shall all flesh come to worship before me, said the Lord”. Isaiah 66:23. The Sabbath seventh day is from the beginning of creation it was not jews there then it only Adam and Eve! Genesis 2:1-3. May God bless you all!

In the New Testament there's not a word about head covering or any type of clothing.
It definitely is an important thing. Maybe not a alvation issue, but to Yahweh it will always matter
If Christ is your husband's head, and your husband is your head, then do you also worship your husband as he worships Christ?
@@debrawehrly6900 No. We are never to worship man. Even a good one.
@@vintageragamuffin4570 it kind of seems that way
@@debrawehrly6900 I don't think so.
I never said that wad responding to what you wrote in your original statement, but to the video in general and the overarching theme.
We must remember many rules in scripture is to teach us to love our neighbors in this rule we see that we are to act and appear in ways that do not bring temptation to others just as we don't want people doing things around us that might tempt us to stray from Christ's path
What a great message! I appreciate all the research put into this! Blessings 😇
Hello Hannah! I am looking to start covering daily. Any recommendations of styles?
I think I might have been overlooked for a job because of my head covering although I looked very elegant according to a lot of people who have met me
Thank you. This is excellent.

I really agree on this topic, and I am so grateful for this teaching and insight.
I do have a question that I have been wondering for a long time:
How come women are to be silent in the churces when they are allowed to prophecy?
I mean the only logical conclusion is that a woman can only pray and prophecy in small groups or to one on one.
Can you help me with this one, since I would like to more firm in my understanding and standing in this topic?
God bless you in the name of Jesus!
Wonderful brother. Wonderful.
@joshjay6765 Great question. The answer is that we want women to be ready to pray or prophesy at any time. -Lynn
@@SoundFaithChannel Just curious. The amish have their women cover all the time for this reason, but the men always wear hats in the field. Because you want women to always be ready, wouldn't you also recommend men to never wear hats? Doesn't seem consistent.
@@izabelak2800 you should ask the amish. We cannot defend a religion we do not follow.
Lovely presentation! Thankyou!
@disciple of CHRIST Thank you for taking of your time to answer in such detail, it’s a true blessing ❤️
But if it is shameful for a woman to be shorn or shaved, let her be covered." (v6 NKJV)
So it seems that he sees almost the opposite as true--he seems to be saying, "If you won't cover your head, that's shameful enough that you might as well cut your hair off as well. But since you Corinthians recognize that a shaved head is shameful, you should also wear a covering because to pray and prophesy when uncovered is shameful."
Second, the word Paul uses for "covering" when he says "her hair is given to her for a covering" is a different word than is used elsewhere in the passage. So it doesn't seem that he's equating long hair with the covering he was talking about before.
God bless.

Watching this as a Calvinist… throughly offended😂
Glad you can laugh. Sorry about that I was not thinking about that when I said what I said.
Thank you so much it is so helpful ❤
PRAISE THE LORD! :)
I think the point St. Paul was trying to make about long hair is: you women love your long hair, that’s because it’s like a covering, therefore why object to a covering? You wouldn’t cut off your long hair. So keep the covering which is the only custom we know
I cover my head, but primarily when praying or giving my testimony.
Judge amongst yourselves... if there is any contention, We have no custom nor do the churches ..
This always got me. Is the whole passage just going through all kinds of styles to deal with the question, with a pinch of irony maybe, and then Paul says like "this detail just really doesn't make a big difference, judge for yourself, but WE do not have such custom".
So does this mean that each church congregation should decide whether to cover or not?
Some individuals sought to introduce their own rules in the church, including the requirement for women to cover their heads with a piece of fabric. In response, Paul stated that these customs were not a part of his teaching or observed in other churches. He also provided a brief lecture on the significance of hair length, emphasizing that men should have short hair while women should grow theirs long.
@@sodaomgi7233 thanks for clarifying. God bless ❤️

What if the wife wants to but the husband is a nominal christian and does NOT want her to at all? Like he would divorce her because he thinks it is crazy.

This topic has been a difficult one for me to understand however I have been feeling convicted to cover my hair (yet to do it because it’s a hard thing to accept the “submission” side of it) but a Thought just popped in my head as I’m watching this video and I haven’t even finished watching it because I want to get it out before I forget….

Council of Leodicea
Canon 29.
A. We observe Sunday instead of Saturday because the Catholic Church transferred the solemnity from Saturday to Sunday."
[ The Convert's Catechism of Catholic Doctrine, 1951 printing, page 50. ]
And this:
"You will tell men that Saturday was the Jewish Sabbath, but that the Christian Sabbath has been changed to Sunday. Changed! but by whom?
If you are consistent with your own principles, if you really follow the Bible and the Bible only, you ought to be able to produce some portion of the New Testament in which this fourth commandment is expressly altered." “Sunday is our mark or authority...the church is above the Bible, and this transference of Sabbath observance is proof of that fact.” - Catholic Record of London, Ontario, September 1, 1923.

This seems to be what is said in the Bible concerning angels and women: Gen 6:2 "the sons of God saw that the daughters of men were beautiful, and they took as wives whomever they chose."
This causes me to wonder if hair is part of what they found beautiful about women?...,
And should women then cover their hair so as to avoid tempting/being a temptation to angels, and also to other males?
@@margaretqueenofscots9450 I don't think you can say they were specifically abolished in the NT. And the headcovering is never commanded in the OT.
The head covering is a New covenant commandment. The dietary laws were part of the Old wineskin
@@margaretqueenofscots9450 On the contrary, it had nothing to do with health, friend. I highly recommend reading on the Jewish Meats by Novation.

Why would you need to find a church that believes in head coverings?
We needed to find a church that takes Jesus and his apostles seriously in all matters. We do not want to be the goats in the end. We also want our children to grow up in churches where no one is divorced and remarried. Where people loved their enemies. And so much more if you want to know more watch seek first his kingdom message.
@@IgnatiusEmanuel ......
Also avoid Churches that allow and condone Marriages with Unbelievers.....
Sermon Playlists.
Because so many corrupted and failing Churches no longer adhere to this righteous teaching for women.
I would probably imagine that since this sect places such a high importance of their interpretation that they would want others to believe as they do.
@serominplaylists No one should. It obviously wasn't an issue otherwise we would have read something very succinctly in the Bible. Only sects or other branches of Christianity care about this, because of their interpretations,
1 Corinthians 11:16-18 KJV
But if any man seem to be contentious, we have no such custom, neither the churches of God. Now in this that I declare unto you I praise you not,
The Bible is what you should read King James Version your problem is you're following behind men that are not the apostles. But when people stop following man and start following Christ this world would be a better place stop putting people in bondage because Christ would never do that you have to choose Christ, but you are making these men God you should be reading more scripture only who are making Heaven by only reading the Bible from the KJV
you are holding women for your lust, instead of seeking help from God, Your following men that's why these issues never get a dress within you.
Do you think a women has to be drawn by the spirit of God to the truth of it otherwise is dead works….
@Carly Dynna The Spirit draws us by calling us through Scriptural commands. So the Spirit has already called all women--it's not dead works. -Lynn
Amin!
1 Corinthians 11:15 .. YOUR HAIR is your covering .. SCRIPTURE!! 🥰
True, it's the hair.
If I’m not married should I cover my head ?
@sofialozano7375 Good question. The reasons for covering that Paul gives in the passage apply both to single and to married people. (Creation order, the fall, nature itself, angels.) So we believe that this teaching applies to both. -Lynn

If a woman is to cover her head, and the man is her head, shouldn't his head be covered?
@godswarriors7543 1 Cor 11 says that men shouldn't cover their heads when praying. I think Paul is using "head" to mean two different things. Physical head and spiritual head. -Lynn

I don’t understand how people like him study the early churches (which we still have today and will be here until the end of times) but decides to have/open their own churches. This is the contrary of obedience, I see as pretty much prideful to have create a church of their own.

A head covering can’t save you, Jesus had long hair because he was a Nazarene and we know Jesus didn't sin !
1 Corinthians 11:14
“Doth not even nature itself teach you, that, if a man have long hair, it is a shame unto him?”
@R Toguidver I think you're mixing Nazarite with Nazarene. Jesus was from the city of Nazareth, a Nazarene. Jesus never took the Nazarite vow that I know of. -Lynn
@@SoundFaithChannel …
The practice of a nazirite vow is part of the ambiguity of the Greek term "Nazarene" that appears in the New Testament; the sacrifice of a lamb and the offering of bread does suggest a relationship with Christian symbolism (then again, these are the two most frequent offerings prescribed in Leviticus, so no definitive conclusions can be drawn).
Luke the Evangelist clearly was aware that wine was forbidden in this practice, for the angel (Luke 1:13-15) that announces the birth of John the Baptist foretells that "he shall be great in the sight of the Lord, and shall drink neither wine nor strong drink; and he shall be filled with the Holy Ghost, even from his mother's womb", in other words, a nazirite from birth, the implication being that John had taken a lifelong nazirite vow.…
A hair covering won’t save you unless you follow all of the Law, which no one but Jesus was ever able to do..
-Lynn
