UPDATE: Fix Dryer F01 Error Code (One Year Later)

  • A year ago, my dryer stopped working and gives the F01 error code and I was able to fix mine without too much trouble - basic tools and a soldering iron.
    It worked for several months, but, the same F01 error came back a couple times before I finally to a more drastic step of shipping the board away for repair.
    Get the dryer board here: ebay.us/Zv6q9P
    Watch this video repair update on how I fixed it.
    This error has been found on Whirlpool, Kenmore, Maytag dryers. Leave a comment if you have it on other brands like LG, Bosche, Samsung, GE, Fridgidaire, Amana, or others
    Disclaimer - I am not an appliance technician and do not know the cause of this circuit board failure. There's likely a bigger problem on the circuit board that caused those points to burn out. Hopefully, this repair does not cause me more problems in the future. The safest and longest-lasting repair is likely to replace the entire circuit board. For me, this repair kept the dryer running.

    Thanks for the follow-up video. I used your previous video to repair my electric HE2 dryer, and I am very grateful to have a back-up plan with playlude_9290 if the circuit blows again.

    Do you show how to remove all the connectors on the board? I'm have a difficult time taking the one off the blades with a wing on it next to the orange box. Mine smoked up real good and will need to possibly replace the purple connector with black and purple wire (if I can find it) since it melted and took the receptacle and one blade with it off the board.

    I replaced the board and it turns on and works but when I push the stop button it starts flashing f01 again. If I push stop again it turns off and when I turn it back on it runs fine again. I don’t know what’s wrong with it.

      @TomahawkDIY  Год назад

      Hi, are you referring to the car key programming kit, if yes, you may visit TomsKey.com to find your vehicle. Cost varies depending on the vehicle and key. Most kits include one key. Some you need to buy the key separate. You will know by reading the product and if it has a key in the photos or not.

      How, exactly, if you don’t mind, do I run the diagnostics in order to retrieve the error codes, please! All the videos show that they have a code, but never explain the procedure for retrieving the codes! Thanks.

      @@zjaz8000 The code just comes up when the circuit failed.
