Thank you for this video, I was having the same exact issue with the code coming up, and also I figured out what caused the board to fault out, some how over the years the sheet metal that the board is attached to came loos on one end and was dragging on the spinning drum, it would appear during assembly of the machine they slipped the end into the proper slot on the front side of the machine but on the back end it looked like they used a sheet metal screw on the underside of the board mount as opposed to installing the board on the upper side like the front and over time the screw backed out and the Board mount fell directly onto the spinning drum, of which I wonder what was making that horrible noise during operation, but now two issues resolved, again thanks for this post, these are the videos I like a lot because they really help folks out a lot specially since we don't have the money for a new machine, and why buy a new machine when this new part I just ordered will make it like new, and no more noise!! 👍👍👍🔧🔧.
A common failure on the control board is a small relay that costs about $10 vs the $225 or more control board. It can be replaced with a simple soldering iron & solder sucker. There are some well done videos detailing that fix.
Try unplugging and plugging in to reset it. Worked for me. I'm on my second control board on this unit, replaced a couple years back. I wouldn't be surprised if i need to replace again, but this got me moving again at least for now.
Thanks found the burn marks on the backside when I pulled the board out. Wish I had read you had parts. I would have ordered from you instead of eBay. Thanks though!!
Hey genius...you should remove one screws on the metal panel, which allows you to lift the whole thing off, and give you easy access to the screw holding the circuit board box.
OK I replaced that part with a new one, the machine came on as it should ran through the cycle and now I am getting the F-70 code again and machine won't even turn on!! getting very frustrated ! what else could it be, is it the Mother Board ??
Hello thanks for the video. My question to you is how much is one of them control panels at Lowe’s? You mentioned the $50-$60 extra because the core. And I will get that back when I return it Thanks!
You cannot get parts like that from lowes. You will have to find a local appliance parts store. You should have one somewhat close. I have one in my town and three more 20 miles away. They will have a cost for you just call them with a model number. My guess is $200-$250
No That is a different problem. "pf" Means power failure. This happens if you simply unplug it and plug it back in. Or if your power goes out and comes back on. Usually it is simply that. You unit should work fine.
Go to your local appliance parts store give them your model and they can get you the number even tell you how much it may be. I would have linked it if there weren't so many of them.

Could you share a link to one of those vids? Thanks

That's what I thought too. I did one of those fixes about 10 years ago. It cost me a $20 soldering iron.

Thank you for the video.
Very informative I also like the 90 degree screw driver.
The last plug that was giving you problems got me stuck. Do you press the fin down or inward and pull up or pull away from that little orange box?
What’s the part # number and how much it cost and where do I get it

Got it fixed. Appreciate that!

How do you put it in diagnostic mode to find the code I have a whirlpool electric dryer wed9400suo
Great video, what kind of camera do you use to take this videos? It's great you can see everything you're doing with your hands
Excelente video donde puedo comprar la placa
Do you know the part number for this control panel? Thank you

Easy to just repair board if you have a soldering iron
Didn't even look at the control board... Scoarching on the back would verify bad board, and possibly easy relay replacement for $20. 🤷🏼♂️
I put the board in and it still won’t turn on.
I unplugged the dryer hoping it would reset
The real question is why is this such a common problem?
When these wear built they were only designed to last maybe 7-10 years.
Here's how to fix it for the cost of a soldering iron, which can be had for $20!!
