20 Things About Dragon Ball That Make Absolutely No Sense

Whether it be the strange behavior of the senzu beans, allowing the opponent to transform while simply standing there, or firing energy attacks at opponents that only graze the landscape, there are several concepts within the world of Akira Toriyama’s Dragon Ball that definitely do not make much sense! Virtually any series out there has its moments that will make the audience quite skeptical of how the show works or outright call it utter nonsense.
For instance, Dr. Gero was one of the antagonists within the Cell saga, who created several cybernetic demons in the attempts to wipe out Goku and his friends, but he somehow was able to amplify himself to be stronger than Frieza, and as a result, Super Saiyan Goku. He isn’t the only one who got crazy powerups, since Trunks obtained his Super Saiyan Rage form, which wasn’t even slightly explained alongside him being able to sense the life energy of gods. At the climax of the battle, the Omni King Zeno was able wipe out Trunk’s timeline, yet Goku and Trunks were still able to reach him by traveling to that timeline, which is a heavy contradiction.
Another thing that makes no sense is how there are several fictional and extinct creatures somehow still around and frolicking in the world of Dragon Ball. Heck, even the King of the world is a dog-man, but Toriyama completely forgot about them it seems. If that wasn’t bad enough, the protagonists would always let their opponents get the best of them by transforming and literally not trying to stop them, which definitely would have been a good idea in several sagas. Top that off with the hyperbolic time chamber being underused and you’ll start to see why the series has many flaws.

5. Zeno had erased everything in existence but the space in which the universe used to occupy still existed. Trunks' time machine always went back and forth from the same timelines, the controls were all still set on the same coordinates. Thats how they could go back.
8. In this video regarding the HTC they mean why didnt any of the Z fighters use the HTC to train for any of the threats before cell? Goku's dialog when introducing the HTC heavily implies that he first used it during his 3 years of training with Kami before meeting Piccolo Jr and the tournament at the end of DB. So he knew about it through all of the Saiyan and Namek Saga.

Dragon Ball does have a lot of retcons and lore breaking scenes (yes, they are canon). But screenrant is just arguing over insignificant things that can be most explained.

In the manga trunks was an apprentice to the supreme Kai, that's why he can sense divine energy.
Nothing needs to make sense for a true Dragon Ball fan. It just needs to be awesome. If Screenrant was to make an anime, it would be extremely boring because everything needs to “make sense”.
Hunter x Hunter, FMA and Assassination Classroom are all awesome show's better than the whole DB series that make sense.

The trunks timeline wasn't completely destroyed because it was a multiversal timeline all that was left of that timeline was it's version of the multiverse the void Zeno was playing in after he destroyed all of the universes.

If you look throughout DB, DBZ and DBS anime, manga and promo material you can clearly see that both Bulma and Trunks have ALWAYS had inconsistent hair colour, all kinds of shades of blue and pink on BOTH characters, in canon tho there is no official explanation but if you compare to real life where hair colour can change with age like me for example, I had light brown hair as a kid but with age it's gotten a lot darker almost to the point where it's black.

Here is one thing that doesn't make sense for me. Not the transformations themselves, but the absurd number of transformations the series has. Seriously, is there gonna eventually be an end to the ridiculous number of forms that the heroes and villains have?

One of my biggest gripes (after I thought about it) was how Goku managed to get so much stronger than Vegeta during his short trip to Namek.
When they first fought, Goku needed Kaio-ken x 4 just to reflect Vegeta's Attack. Yet once they get to Namek, Goku basically one-shots any opponent that Vegeta is struggling to beat.
And please keep in mind, Vegeta also had far more Zenkai boosts during that arc, and yet Goku was still much stronger.
It's not suppose to make sense, every true fan knows that!!!
3:04 Zeno cant EVER be defeated, erased , or any of that. They come back to an erased timeline, thats actually still there, just non inhabited. Zeno of that time being there could make sense. Goku and trunks and everyone else in the timeline werent erased, due to near timing. The timeline being erased just means people not erased, not the space and EVERYTHING itself.
Goku doesn't interrupt during any transformation because he wants to fight his opponents at their full potential

In the Fusion Saga Goku says that a person can only enter the chamber twice in a lifetime. Then Dende improved the chamber to allow unlimited amount of times during the Cell saga. Being in the chamber ages you too. Notice how Trunks and Gohan's hair grew so much being in there. Training in there means giving up a year up a year of your life for 1 real day. Vegeta has used it the most at 5x.
Goku expenses a ridiculous amount of calories training and fighting so it makes sense that he has to replenish all of the calories somehow and has a crazy metabolism having to maintain their physiques and exerting that much energy. It's like the Flash. Plus, they're aliens, so their anatomy is obviously different from humans

Goku is a full blooded saiyan born on planet Vegeta, therefore his diet is that of an average saiyan and saiyans also have large diets.
Also, the one in which he said that how can saiyans breathe in outer space:
The answer is, they are not exactly in outer space, instead they are in the outer most layer of the atmosphere and saiyans have a strong breathing system, so they can easily breathe normally in the outer most layer of the atmosphere

The reason why they can't grow Senzu Beans in the Hyperbolic time chamber is because a person can only enter the room a maximum of twice in a lifetime.
What was done with Goku's body after he died in the fight with Raditz? Did they bury him? Keep him in a cryo-pod/capsule? Leave him in the middle of nowhere?
Why does Gohan always stop training after every villain and always rely on his dad to come save the day
