What Dragon Ball fan doesn’t remember how exciting it was the first time we saw our hero Son Goku go Super Saiyan? But as much as it gets the adrenaline going, there have been quite a few inconsistencies over the years, as well as some serious retconning from series creator, Akira Toriyama. Although the ability has something to do with the amount of S Cells, even those have been the subject of as much debate as power levels. And this move isn’t limited to this franchise, as we’ve seen it used in Dr. Slump as well. Why was the form in Cooler’s Revenge seemingly capable of healing, yet this was never brought up again on any of the shows? Back on Planet Vegeta, it was considered a mere legend of their true strength, but are we really supposed to believe that Goku was the first to pull it off? Not that he’s not great, it’s just that he’s not the first powerful member of the Saiyan race.

I feel like CBR fails to understand that the reason why it was so easy for Trunks and Goten is because their fathers were already Super Saiyans when they were conceived whilst Gohan was not. It doesn't really explain why Future Trunks had such a hard time though. It does explain why Pan as a BABY is super strong.
Yeah in dragon Ball it is said that the next generation will be always strong than the previous generation...... That's why we see kids becoming super Saiyan in early ages
Well in future trunks timeline they may never had achieved super saiyen 2 until he came to present time and trained with goku but in present time so yeah the rest you already know

Well one thing I can say, is that.. on planet Vegeta, for that current time, there was no saiyan near the level of power of Vegeta and Goku, so the super saiyan transformation wasn't common. Also, dragonball heroes is not canon because of the absurdity of the plots lol Other than that....yeah, I got nothing.

@@limitbreaker5560 canon is such a dumb term it's as canon as dragon ball super which is not even part of the Z canon it's a sequel to Kai not Z the definition of canon is (anything that actually happened in the original story) and the original story is dragon ball / dragon ball z / dragon ball gt. dragon ball Kai and super are not part of the original story so by definition are not canon.
@@AzaiaMonota Dragon Ball GT is not considered canon because it was not directed by Akira Toriyama, the creator. According to him, DB, DBZ, DBS, and DBS: Broly are the only things canon in the DB universe. GT was when the studio was trying to continue without Toriyama so nothing in GT matters.

When goku lost Krillin in the in the classic dragon ball the reason why he didn't transformed is because krillin didn't die right before his eyes like on planet namek

There are time I wonder why the Saiyans in planet Vegeta believes Super Saiyans are nothing but a myth. For what Vegeta did stayed is that the last Super Saiyan exist over a thousand years ago, but perish Along with their original homeworld. If so, who was the Original Super Saiyan and Super Saiyan God? What is their original home planet before Planet Vegeta? Why haven’t the Saiyans take any history lessons?
they're probably nomads (like real like rom/ gypsy people) it's somewhere stated that planet vegeta is not the original planet and that's why the story is so confusing, they just don't keep a record or save general culture
5:08 Actually that have been answered the reason why Goten and Trunks can go super saiyan because they doesn't have a tail and technically every single saiyan can go super saiyan but the tail make it harder. Gohan have a tail when he born because hes the rarest human-saiyan half breed.

Nope the reason why goten and trunks easily ascend into super saiyan than goku and vegeta is because goku and vegeta already achieved super saiyan before they had swxual intercourse with their wives that pass the abundant s cells their sons and both were kind and gentle saiyans because of their upbringing on earth that made their s cells multiple even further to the point achieving super saiyan is simple for them while pure blooded saiyans like goku and vegeta took them long enough. And btw half breed saiyans have full potential to be strong if they continue trainung but the problem is their earthling genes made them lazy and not battle hungry compared to goku and vegeta.
Both of you missed the pointed which is it became meaningless as far as story when Goten and Trunks did it.

Maybe Goten and Trunks has more S cells than Gohan seeing as their fathers had more s cells when they were born after going super Saiyan whereas Gohan was born before Super Saiyan therefore he was born with less S cells
Well they could call Shenron and wish for all of the Saiyan’s history like they did on Battle of the Gods
I can see why they dumped the idea for grades bc they all had the same problem: speed reduction and in these battles speed Is critical
I thought about number 1 recently and the only difference I can think of is possibly because of the fact that Vegeta and Goku raised their power level so high before having goten and trunks, some how may have progressed to their offspring at the time. This theory is backed by high class saiyans having strong offspring as well and with a little training (plus goten and trunks were perfect sparring partners at youth) made the achievement easier.

In the DragonBall franchise, when you receive ki from another person, you get revitalized to some extent. Like when Vegeta gives Goku his ki in the tournament of power. Now imagine you're a bird with a "power level" of ~0.1 (I know, power levels don't make sense, but hear me out) and you receive energy from a super strong being like Goku. That bird was probably supercharged. Makes sense that it healed to me.

Future Trunks actually CAN use healing techniques, but it has nothing to do with being a Super Saiyajin. He learned it during his Z- Sword training with Shin, and only ever used it during the Goku Black arc in the manga.

Actually, the "Grades" started more as a fan-name. Like Frost Demon or Frost Tyrant as the name of Frieza's race. And while we're on the subject, it's technically spelled Freeza.
The writing direction can be pretty much confusing, once a character is recognized and had full recognition maybe forgotting to focus on the supporting characters. Toriyama forgets his character design like when he thought ssj 3 as ssj2. It could very be an explanation why even a plot introduction such as a new transformation is focused seriously on the main characters leaving some room of confusion through other chafacters feat of strength but don't get me wrong, each indeed has a difderent feat of strength but most of it wss just to cover up the plot introduction mistakes.
I guess Goten was able to achieve the SSJ form because he’s Father Goku mastered more or less the SSJ form or treated like it was his base form before putting Goten in Chi Chi, which would make sense biologically (kids get what there parents have). And that will approve why Gohan wasn’t able to do it so easily.
But that theory is countered by Trunks and Vegeta since Vegeta put trunks in Bulma and he wasn’t a SSJ never mind mastered it.
What would happen if you combine Super Saiyan mode with the great ape? Imagine if we saw something like that in the show?

Well that’s because the spirit bomb has nothing to do with ui. The reason he turned ui was because that was his last chance. The spirit bomb helped out as it game him energy.

I always thought the reason Goten and trunks could go super Saiyan so fast was because they already had parents that hit the super Saiyan level whereas when Gohan was born Goku had not become a super Saiyan yet

Maybe the Saiyans of Planet Vegeta were in a kind of "dark ages" period similar to the one on earth where a lot of advanced art and culture was lost for a time. Goku going Super Saiyan on Planet Namek was Goku beginning a Saiyan Rennaisance.

My reason why I think goten knows super sayian at a young age is that goku taught him so he doesn't have to learn later and goku only learned super sayian when krillin died because he had no one who taught him how to turn super sayian when he was younger.

You say in a ton of videos that the kids transformation was not explained, except it was, they are able to go Super Sayan because of being half human, as they have more empathy. It's also why Goku is constantly ahead of Vegeta.

It is said that the *Legendary Super Sayian* can kill Frieza but Goku killed him in a regular *Super Sayian* form and still he had no chance of beating Broly without fusion......
Actually when Goten was born it was after goku had unlocked it so it was easier for goten to go into the form
Super Saiyan was the most important transformation of Dragon Ball because it was a gateway to other Super Saiyan forms like Super Saiyan 2, Super Saiyan 3, Legendary Super Saiyan, Super Saiyan God, Super Saiyan Blue, Super Saiyan Rose & Super Saiyan 4

Trunks and goten going SS at a young age makes sense as they have seen others do it. It occurs in sports in real life. Once one athlete breaks a record/barrier all of a sudden a bunch of others follow suit.

i think the reason why goten and trunks were able to go super saiyan was because they were both conceived while goku and vegeta were able to transform and it raised their s cell count.
future vegeta was killed because he wasn't prepared to fight them and he he didn't have goku around to motivate him to attain the form as much, atleast until after trunks was born. that's why future trunks wasn't able to transform until he was a teenager. but since present vegeta trained so hard to fight the androids and then transform, and then got bulma pregnant afterwards, i think that's why kid trunks' s cell count became so much higher than future trunks'.
Personally I think it’s still confusing but the fact that people are trying to solve it just makes it more confusing

I believe that the more a saiyan is exposed to super saiyan power the easier they can achieve that level themselves. Somewhat similar to how Goku maintained the super saiyan god power levels after it wore off.
