Dragon Ball is a long running and massively a massively successful anime franchise and manga. Spanning three canon arcs, a non canon series and many films and video games, it’s got quite the story to back up such a dense multimedia project. But all those stories end up making some pretty confusing plot holes. For instance, what happened to the Saiyan tails? Launch was a pretty popular character in the early episodes but she’s all but vanished from the roster. Saiyans are known to not be able to grow their hair any longer than it already is, but Super puts a huge dent in that statement. Frieza may have been right when he said “five minutes”-you know what we’re talking about. The power levels in the series also don’t make much sense when you factor in how strong they were at the start versus where they are now. On that note, Bulma should not be okay after getting a blow from the god of destruction, Beerus. There’s some inconsistencies with the history of Planet Vegeta’s destruction in the timeline and even more inconsistencies when Goku tells his friends how he escaped the planet Namek. Speaking of inconsistencies though, what is it with Trunks and Goten not growing up by the time Super airs? They look exactly the same. Vegeta is essentially hated by everyone despite not doing anything bad to anyone. There’s also no more need to train to achieve Super Saiyan anymore; at least according to the new lore in Super with a new trio of Saiyans. U7 saiyans actually have a genetic trait that makes transforming harder tied to aggression. This is why u6 saiyans and half saiyans have easier times transforming without being as strong.

Femto When he says Goku & Frieza 5 minute fight was 2hrs long because the episodes were 2hrs long in length all together. The time they battled until Namek blew up was indeed five minutes. They move extremely fast so five minutes at their speed isn’t much time.

The tournament after the Buu arc takes place ten years in the future and Super begins only six months after. So everything that happened in Super is between the Buu arc and the tournament where we meet Uub. Plus, in Super Dende mentions Uub to Goku which would explain how he knew of his existence in Z.

Robert McIntosh you’re off by 1 year. The tournament of power is 4 years away from the end of Z. So that means dragon ball super takes place of the span of 6 years. But that’s pretty much the only issue and it’s pretty small. Bulma is just off by a year or maybe two years depending how close the dragon ball super movie is to the tournament of power

If you are punching someone, who can tank star level explosions, hard enough to send them flying into the ground then any punch that you miss should be able to destroy a planet.

A being that can punch a marchmellow hard enough to destory is 1,000,000x over can not simply punch a planet sized marshmellow and do any more than put a small crater in it. Why? It simply does not transfer the energy.

Toriyama has always drawn trunks with blue hair, it's just prior to the the manga becoming colorized toei made trunk's hair purple as an homage to bulma who at one point in the Original Dragon ball manga had purple hair, it's either that or Toriyama just forgot trunk's hair was purple I mean the man almost drew 18 with purple hair
In the manga bulma's hair was purple, and so was trunks, but the anime came and paint bulma with blue hair, they forgot to change trunks after all the time (from db to dbz) in super they "fix it" by changing trunks hair to blue so it matches bulma (as intended by toriyama)

I bet the reason that raditz says three years is due to a theory made by Stephen hawking. It has something to due with the way time affects people not tied to a planet with gravity.
With the Vegeta righteous thing, when Goku and the Kais use the Dragonballs to restore the Earth after it was destroyed by Buu they wished for all the good people to come back to life and Vegeta was also brought back as well confirming he is officially a good guy so it makes sense he would work when helping with the God ritual
Not only that, Vegeta took on the Maijin power in an attempt to kill Buu. Sure, he went a little bonkers and mad with power before his attempt, but his attempt was still noted as more righteous than his temporary mad with power phase.

Here's another one. Why does dende age so much slower than piccolo? When Piccolo kidnapped gohan, he was about 4 years old cannonically. Piccolo Jr isn't actually king piccolo's child in the tradition namekian sense. Otherwise kami would have died too. It makes when you consider how cell could regenerate because of piccolo's DNA. Then again that should have been a plot hole itself since it doesnt work like that either.

Piccolo is a highly non-standard Namekian. One theory is that warrior Namekian's reach their prime fighting age faster than non-warriors, but it's also likely that Piccolo Daimao engineered his clone/offspring to grow extra fast in order to avoid losing a bunch of time to Goku's ever-increasing power level.

In Battle Of Gods, SSJ-God Goku made Beerus use at least 50% of his power. After like 3-4 years of hellish training and obtaining SSJ-Blue, Goku and Vegeta are still weaker than a Beerus that does nothing but eat and sleeps all day. Like, what the hell?
Android 17:
In Dragonball Z, he was no match for the upgraded Super Saiyan. That's why he did not perused them after The Cell Game. He was even killed off screen by Buu in the Buu Arc. Then suddenly, he's as strong as SSJ-Blue from the time gap between Buu Arc to Tournament Of Power Arc. Like really?... The time gap between The Cell Game and the Buu Arc was 7 years. Why was Android 17 still weaker than the upgraded Super Saiyan if he can get as strong as SSJ-Blue with in 2-3 years? It just doesn't make sense.
Frieza:
Dragonball Super states that Frieza has never trained in his life but a lot of things about him states that he has trained. Like how does he know martial arts if he never trained or use ki blast? If he can become as strong as SSJ-Blue from being weaker than the Androids with in just 6 month, than why didn't he train what's left of his flesh and blood before coming to Earth after the Namek Arc? It just doesn't make sense.

Depending on how fast a Saiyan pod can travel, it's entirely possible that Raditz began his journey three years before landing on Earth. The faster you move, the slower time will progress. Given, a Saiyan pod would have to be traveling at some crazy percentage of the speed of light depending on Vegeta's distance from Earth, but it is an anime.
It's plausible that Raditz could have left not long after Goku was born and arrive when he is 20 years old if the Saiyan pods are incredibly fast. Goku, living on Earth, would have had more than enough time to grow up as time would progress faster for him than it would have for Raditz.
Doctor Flappe was an anime-filler only character, his existence is not canon to the story so it's not really a plot hole.
