  • What's up guys today we get rid of that old eBay muffler that ended up exploding on me when I tried out the new ecu with Launch Control.
    I purchased a used but never heat cycled Tanabe Medallion exhaust for the b16a civic. Tell me what you guys think of the new sound.

    Really enjoyed the video and looking forward to catching up on more of your videos from pastvto present. Hardly get videos of the good EF stuff.
    Much much love. Keep going at it bro, not everything needs a big money Kswap.
    In the future I'll consider a Tanabe for my 3G Civic. If you're bored and need something to watch, holla - I've got 5x3G's

      I agree you could buy it for the hatch and have the piping custom fit but I know what you mean it would be nice to have a bolt on exhaust

    Hello nice build. I have the same car and I was wondering if you could send me the link from where you got the header and the exhaust pipe the whole system I would appreciate it o lot. Nice video

      Thank you! I actually got the exhaust second and had pieced it together off of eBay. It’s tough right now to buy an exhaust system for these cars they’re crazy expensive.

      There’s no link because it was an old eBay purchase, the exhaust is called tanabe medallion.

    the real question is how did that get up there

  • @redd6738
    @redd6738 2 года назад +1

    was the swap expensive?

    • @Tycrx89
      @Tycrx89  2 года назад +1

      I bought the swap back in 2017 for 2200 at a JDM engine depot, that’s the trans, motor, and harness and the only thing I sourced was the ecu. For todays standards and what they’re going for i got mine for s steal. I see them listed for anywhere to 3500 and up. And that’s cheap nowadays

      @redd6738 2 года назад

      @@Tycrx89 love seeing how it comes out, hoping to b16 swap an ef this summer maybe. was the harness a plug and play kinda deal or? that’s my only worry

    • @Tycrx89
      @Tycrx89  2 года назад +2

      @@redd6738 the whole thing depends on what trim level ef the b16 is going in. The easiest route would be to snag up a crx or civic si. That way there’s less of a wiring process. You would use the stock engine harness from the single cam for the B16a to make it a plug and play process. Only thing you really need after that is b series mounts, and a b series shift linkage for an ef
