The ED3 is stupidly slept on. My first car was a '90 Civic LX. I turbo'd it using a manifold from a CRX HF and an adapter plate to feed an IHI RHB5 from a junkyard Subaru RX pushing through a Volvo intercooler. I've driven plenty of SERIOUSLY fast cars since then, but that was still the most fun I've had in any car.
I remember in high school these 4 door civics slammed and a lot of them had the chrome momo star rims. Very good looking car. Brings back memories. I always wanted a 91 si hatch in the teal color.
Had one of these LX in Charcoal Gray with power windows, nice 16" rims, sound system, aftermarket steering wheel, custom exhaust, cold air intakes (all innovative back then) and parting from it in 2002 still hurts...
My brothers buddy back in 99 had a 98’ ek sedan with a gsr swap. Was one of the first swaps like that I saw as a young teen in the late 90’s. I now have a 89 ef sedan with a SpeedFactory build gsr by Kevin. also have all the 4 sets of Oem 15’ rims from the 90’s mint. Love the red man don’t see that up in the PNW🫡🫡🫡🫡
That paint is smooth as glass, love it!❤ Always loved Hondas since my older brother bought a new ’81 Accord 4dr. In the early to late 80s my friend’s mother had a ‘76 Civic and my landlord had a ‘77 to be replaced with an ’87 4dr. They were great fun to drive! COOL Car!!! Keep it driving like a HONDA! 👊🏻✌🏻🇨🇦
We had a had a pewter gray metallic 1990 civic sedan lx. I remember as a kid we had it since new in 1989 all the way till 2005 December. I was 2 when we got it and I was 16 driving it until age 18 I got a new 2005 accord coupe sapphire metallic pearl lx-se. I remember the EF as such a fun car to ride around in no matter what. It was well built but nothin fancy. It just had so much personality as a car especially to its competitors at the time. Old school Hondas just had a fun personality weather you are a driver or passenger. It gave everyone a smile and somehow feel engaged in the drive. It just gave a dash of excitement to the ownership experience each time you drove it. It was surprisingly smooth for ride quality but you felt much of the road so it was a very connected experience. It was a very true driving experience as passenger for my childhood and for my start as a driver. It was really decent for its time and just a fun vibe.
I had a 1991 civic in the same colour. It didn’t have the black trim, black mirrors and the front bumper was different. This car looks way better especially lowered and with those rims. It was manual and had no tachometer 😂😂 Zero drink holders.
Awesome EFV🙌🏿 . I'll be 42 this year, these were the bomb when I was in middle school and high school. Ima a vw bug dude i had 12 of them since 1998 . Awesome your pops had a vw thing. I bought a 1990 EF 4 door from the OG owners in the SGV back in 2010 it was so clean a stick shift... i sold it a year later . I wish i had it still. I have an opportunity to trade my 04 tahoe for a 91 ef 4 Dr ex with a manual tranny . Im getting pumped up watching this video!
I hate to be that guy, but I do lots of builds and paint, but before you even brought up the paint, I noticed the paint difference, the painter didn't do a good fade with the fenders and doors, but still a clean looking car, i love it!
I have a 90 EF hatch. The transmission blew and I had picked up a 90 Civic sedan. I didnt really like the sedan and just bought it complete with a blown motor for $100. Took the transmission and the sedan just sat there until the motor blew on my hatch i decided to strip the hatch to restore. I needed a new daily so i turned to the sedan. I fell in love with the sedan. Unfortunately totaled the sedan which i might add its not a good idea from personal experience to only rely on the automatic shoulder belt. In the event of a crash your body will slip under the belt not manually using the lap belt. Those seats are cool but should figure a way to use the lap belt too. He forgot to mention the grill between the headlights is one of the biggest changes on the JDM front end. Also i have a 98 Civic hatch and I feel the same way as if its a new car compared to my EF but the EK is old too lol.

Beautiful build on this sedan, and yes, the ef2 front end makes a big difference.👌🏽
Huge difference, so clean!

@@AutomotiveAnatomy You kept the bitch professional
23:05 maybe it's a mental thing, but after y'all mentioned the front end paint I see that the color is a tad off. Or maybe its just me.
Your car is amazing
Beautiful car and nicely done ❤
This was identical to my first car, except mine was white. Still my favorite ever car
Great looking cars man.
Would love me a white EF sedan in Manual and EX model.. the Unicorn
ED45 Frost White with Type II blue interior (90-91) with the coin tray from the 88-89 and a OBD0 twin cam ZC. PERFECT.
Looks great.

ED3 is the most slept-on truly great HONDA platforms.
I had a 91 brown sedan aka chocolatito 😂
Best car I’ve ever own until it got stolen
I want the recaro lx confetti with the nets for my GD3 fit. I'm concerned about seat rails though
Chad that is a seriously clean ride!...What size tires and what rims did you use?
wpw that is so damn clean
Im glad you like, Rob!
1:37 you still have parts for that?
Your videos are great but that camera makes your videos have really low quality and doesnt do them justice
91' is 33 years old
Depends when you are born lol
Funnily enough, my 91 LX & I share the same birth month (June). The Civic is older than me by 13 years though
Keith Cassels let's J swap one of these
My first cars 88 LX
This one is close to it for sure
It’s too low….ride looks hard and uncomfortable…rest is ok…but for me no.
If the ride was rough I would of mentioned it. It rides very well. Thanks for watching.
Freeek yeee
