  • Hello everyone,
    Today we bring you another awesome and fun interview we did with Jay and his awesome Honda Civic EF Sedan. Jay is a true OG in the Honda game. I had the pleasure to meet him at an OldSkool Honda Meet and I am glad I requested an interview. Super cool to meet people who have the passion for Hondas and the EF chassis in specific. As you can see, Jay knows Honda inside and out. We are humbled at the opportunity to learn about him and his awesome builds. Thank you for the time to share, Jay. Thank you all for the continued support! #automotiveanatomy

    Gus the car Jay is talking about the Accord with the Twix sticker on the hood that's one of my longtime friends. His Accord was fully built by PYR with NOS. Car moved... Actually him, Mike G, and Ryan Ordinario we all hung out back then. That's way before Mike G got Tank. When Jay mentioned that man it brought back memories. Hahaha

    Man, much respect to Jay! 🙏 I can relate, I do my swaps the same way. Lol 😂 I truly enjoyed watching this review. Keep up the great work guys! Jay I been through the same issues with being turbo for last 3 years. I've had nothing but trouble and issues. They are fun when they work but it sucks having all the downtime and problems that come with turbo cars. I now have a b20v allmotor and I'm content and happy. I can finally enjoy my car. When I was turboed I would break the car every 2 weeks. It used to drain my energy. I'm allmotor for life now. ❤ much love! 🙌

    • @jdmda1000
      @jdmda1000 11 месяцев назад

      I started off all motor and love it too but I was racing a index class drag racing so I wanted to eat my cake too which means I wanted max hp and be able to drive it on the street too. My car is kinda heavy so I would need about 350 to the wheels all motor. So I just pulled the trigger and went boost.

    • @thedistance8843
      @thedistance8843 11 месяцев назад +1

      Yea, nothing wrong with going boost. I just love driving my car and I hate having to wait for parts or waiting to find a new block because I cracked a sleeve or looking for new pistons if I happen to fry 1 due to a clogged injector ect.. it's a toss up but I rather have like a solid allmotor 250hp or maybe a k series with like 300hp and be good with no headaches.

      @jdmda1000 11 месяцев назад +1

      Not sure. I'm not trying to find out the hard way. Lol but I'll be trying to get it sized up into the right position. It's for a 88-90 civic hatch. And at the time I was running the 11.50 index class at a lot of drag race events and if you run any ET quicker than 11.50 you have to have a roll bar. So I threw what I could in there at the time. So actually its fast enough now to have a full cage. But I'm retired from drag racing so I really don't want take the bar out so I'll try and get this one modded with time permitted.

    That roll bar is not properly fitted and seems like it is not design for that car? It needs to be as snug as possible around the B pillar and all the way around the roof. If that's the case, it serves no benefits and no protection in case the car rolls over. I also don't understand why no cover or protection on the timing belt? Since the car is driven on the streets, if any debris like rocks, or anything like that get into the timing belt, you can easily destroyed the motor. There is a reason why the factory has full protection for the timing belt area.
